The bar and restaurant are spacious and friendly staff greet you and explain everything. Dinner of sea bass and veg was delicious. The building is quirky with low doors and sloping floors and there is presently refurbishments going on but this wasn't a problem. The bed was comfy but as the room was so warm had to keep the window open which was above the hotel's noisy extractor. I would stay again but not in room 9. Great coffee at breakfast.

Breakfast poached eggs were a little overdone and there were 4 of them, bit of a waste as I couldn't eat that many.

Our room, bar area and restaurant were spotless. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, a little warm but easily resolved by opening a window. Loved the ambiance of the place. We stayed Saturday and Sunday and, even though the place is so very busy almost all of the time, we never felt uncomfortable and found somewhere to sit whenever we wanted to be downstairs. We didn’t have a meal here but spoke to a cpl of people who did, they all said how beautiful the food was (especially the lamb on Sunday it seemed!). We didn’t experience any noise whatsoever over night. Slept very well. The staff are fantastic, many are very young and have the most lovely attitude and customer focus. I would be interested in how far they all walk each working shift, they never seemed to stand still! Very attentive, smiley and polite. Thank you very much.

Honestly, we stay away extensively and thought this place was slightly overpriced by £10-£15 a night to that of comparable stays elsewhere in Staffordshire and beyond.

There was a warm welcome when I arrived The bedroom I was given Room 6 was perfect for the night - lovely and clean , bed was 7/10 comfortable , also had extra pillows - shower room was spacious and clean - water in the shower wasn’t really warm but was adequate The main bonus of staying here is a the lovely food It’s incredibly close to the M6 and hugely convenient as an overnight stop

Room 6 seems to be rather close to a water tank which kept filling up so a bit noisy I couldn’t open the window for fresh air

We found this gem a year ago, and we have come back again this year (it is a half way stop to where our final destination is ) and we plan again on staying here next year for this same trip x there is an excellent restaurant and beautifully decorated bar and outside area downstairs . The rooms are clean and spacious . Tea and coffee facilities provided as well if you wake up early as breakfast on weekends starts at 8am x

Parking on site. Reasonable price with an excellent breakfast included. Room was comfortable. Bar and restaurant area were extremely busy but we managed to get a table for dinner and the food was excellent. Staff very friendly. Could not hear the noise from the bar in the room.

The quilts should have had a cover on them for hygiene purposes and spare pillows and blankets would have been nice.

Breakfast is freshly cooked to order. I have the cooked vegan breakfast which is great. Evening meals are very good pub grub. The beer is well kept and the staff are very friendly. The pub is very dog friendly which is great.

On this occasion the restaurant service was slow for our late Sunday lunch. This is an exception; as usually the staff are very attentive.

I've stayed at the Littleton many times, and will continue to return when I need to stay I'm Stafford. Staff are really helpful and attentive, there is an excellent selection of food and drink and its always very welcoming.

The rooms are a little tired, and they can get very hot/noisy depending on which one you get. The showers have always been a problem, and would be the place I would start for any improvements.

Loved the atmosphere and the fact it was such an old property. The room was very spacious, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The bar area was great with everything you can think of stocked. The food in the restaurant was first class and again all the staff were really helpful and polite. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Our room was next to the external/rooftop extractor fans which were quite noisy, but thankfully all went quiet just after we went to bed.

Really great staff, they were very helpful welcoming and friendly. It was a huge room well furnished and equipped. Vegan options and food was very good evening and breakfast. . Lovely big towels and bed very comfortable.

Only issue was the noisy fan outside our room. Fortunately it was switched off around 11 but came on at 6.30. There is double glazing which reduced the sound but that means no window open. Maybe worth asking for a room away from the fan. Would still recommend the place as everything else was excellent

The Littleton Arms is a very vibrant and busy venue, the food selection is very good and so is the beer. The restaurant becomes very busy in the evenings as it is very popular locally. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The extractor fan / aircon unit at the back of the kitchen was quite loud even with the windows closed, although it was shut down at around 10pm. The room is very warm (as is the whole building) but electric fans are supplied in the rooms.
