Hotel was lovely with age character. Food was outstanding staff very pleasant and helpful and really good verity of drinks and cocktails. 👍 Wide selection on Breakfast menu and delicious. Rooms were nice size, clean and comfy. Loved how each room had its own name instead of just a number. Town nice to walk round and close to Wolverhampton city centre and a Crazy golf Jurassic Creek at 3 Hammers golf club 5-10 min away. Free car parking to rear of pub which was good but limited if hotel busy

All guests said Beds mattresses dipped in middle and uncomfortable so probably need changing but slept ok. Lots of different staircases with no signage to rooms.

An individual hotel with rooms accesed via a winding staircase. Breakfast was made with quality ingredients, freshly cooked, presented and served. Good choice of evening meal menu. Our choices were beautifully cooked presented and served. There was a lovely relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere in the restaurant. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well serviced. Any extra items needed were provided immediately if requested. Overall we found the hotel to be well managed, clean, warm, friendly, with a relaxed friendly vibrant atmosphere. Staff were friendly, efficient and well supported by the Manager to deliver good service. We have stayed before and will stay again. Keep up the good work!

Staff excellent.restaurant upstairs beautifully decorated.Room Excellent.Shower was lovely and hot and facilities in the room was excellent too.Location of the hotel within the village was lovely too.

No Lift two sets of steep stairs to go up to the room we were staying in so just made sure we had everything with us before we left the hotel. No car parking at the hotel as such but public car park 2 minutes walk at the rear of the hotel.Parking in the market square is a bit hit and miss as busy with traffic already parked when we arrived at the hotel to check in.

A comfortable room in a quiet setting and friendly staff. It's clear that attention has been paid to renovating what is an old building. I did not eat dinner there, but there were plenty of people who appeared to be locals enjoying the bar and restaurant, which can only be a good sign - it wasn't loud, though.

The cooked breakfast was tasty, but the coffee came from cheap sachets - considering the general aspect of the place, I would have expected fresh coffee. The hallway from the main downstairs area to the upstairs rooms seems to have missed the renovation. Heavily marked and appearing dirty, it was a surprise to see considering the high standards seen elsewhere.

The breakfast was extremely good, and the chef went out of his/her way to accommodate our needs. Our bedroom was beautiful, and spotlessly clean. Bathroom was spotless, with toiletries provided. MASSIVE towels = wonderful!

After living/working in hospitality for many years, I do think the bedroom should have a waste basket, as the only bin is tiny, and located in the bathroom. Our bed was enormous, and extremely comfy. However, the room only had one bedside cabinet, therefore, one side of the bed ‘slightly’ dipped, mainly because people will sleep on the side where they can easily place items on the cabinet. I’d strongly suggest cabinets on both sides of the bed, if possible.

The meal we had in the evening and breakfast was lovely

We arrived from Wales 2hrs early, and was bluntly told we couldn't check in, and there was no space in the car park so we went for a drive to kill time. The same unfriendly guy (with a european accent) who told us we couldn't check in tried to overcharge us £20 for each dog, when we'd called ahead and was told it was £10 each dog. We were allocated a top floor room up some steep and narrow stairs which was very aquard with the dogs, and also not the best for toileting the dogs. Room was on a slant, but that's just due to the age of the hotel.

Great Hotel with very friendly staff, always a warm welcome. Nice big bright rooms and the food is excellent.

Carpet on stairs was loose as it had been cleaned and didn't feel very safe. The furniture in the room could have done with a better arrangement as the sockets were in awkward places. The Window frame was rotting and was held open with tissue paper stuffed in the gap so we couldn't open it further and it was a very warm day.

The view of the main street from the bedroom window was exceptional. I had to take a photograph right away! It would have made a superb painting! The central location was brilliant and the accommodation was close to all the facilities of the village. The room was clean and the shower was hot. It was quiet. The breakfast was good and the service was excellent.

I couldn't get the bedside lamp to work. One of the beds seemed rather creaky when I sat on it, but it was no problem, as I used the other bed.

This was my second stay, this time to celebrate a family member’s 40th birthday — and once again, everything was exceptional. The staff were fantastic, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The food was outstanding, and we truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches provided for the birthday girl — it made the celebration even more special. Breakfast the next morning was equally lovely and the perfect way to end our trip. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Tiny room and double bed, but that's the UK for you. Clean, bit stuffy, but window could be opened and a fan was in the cupboard. Beautiful on site restaurant upstairs and the bar pour a mean cocktail! Lovely continental breakfast the following morning as part of the room rate. parking around the corner in an outdoor public parking lot, yet safe

Bigger bed but space is an issue Split system air con would help, especially as rooms are upstairs
