We were going to a friends party not far from here and booked a nights stay so we didn't need to travel back late. Maria was honestly the best host I've ever met. She took the time to meticulously explain every little detail, from the amenities in our room to the breakfast ordering process, so we had absolutely no issues at all. The accommodation was clean and inviting with everything you would need. Maria is truly a gem, we ordered breakfast for 9am but unfortunately overslept due to a heavy night of celebrations and the unbelievably comfortable bed. Maria called our room and then when I staggered out to request we have our breakfast in the room she accommodated us without hesitation. She even asked after my partner, who was feeling sorry for himself still in the bed, when she brought the delicious and beautifully presented breakfast to us! If you're staying in this area, this is the place to be. Meeting Maria alone is worth it!

Would have liked some blinds on the windows as we were right on the road and felt unable to have any natural light without being exposed. Also, a full length mirror would be a good addition.

The hotel room was so clean. Spacious and had a very nice warm feeling inside. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The beds were on the harder side which for me is great but for others may not be. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that the food is halal as I was not expecting this. It made my stay all that better :) The host is amazing, she was so courteous, always smiling. She keeps the place very neat and tidy, and it really helped me with my anxieties. It is a place I would defo visit again

Nothing that I would change. Maybe the hanging lights as one was pretty dim but that's just being picky the room had a lot of light.

The good bit: - Design, style, vibrant - That's a good example how a good hotel should be done and presented. I like the suite I stayed. - High ceilings and very well use of that space. - Lights are sufficient enough and contribute to the atmosphere, - Heating was more than enough. - Hot water with a good pressure, and shower head attached to the high ceiling - that was nice. Someone did a very good job and definitely I will be coming back - I want to try and stay in all the suites. Actually I am surprised in a good way from the breakfast - it was very well presented and nice. It is very easy to get it from M5, just a mile or so from Junction 2.

And the some things to have in mind as well: - Be careful if you enter the hotel with wet shoes - marble floor, which can be slippery - Location wise is not something exceptional. If you expect stunning outside views should look elsewhere. - There is a parking situation could be a little bit tricky, but the hotel staff managed to sort it out for me. Thanks for that. - You know, we the smokers are discriminated everywhere in the UK, but a nice covered smoking area outside will be a nice touch if it made. - Be careful if you have a big/long car, as very narrow street and turns in front of the hotel (old church square).

Room was lovely, shower was a waterfall style and very nice. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Great communication before check in. My partner has coeliac disease and is vegetarian and they were happy to provide gluten free bread for toast.

Only had one issue, breakfast was advertised as full English and I accept that the owners religious beliefs meant that they were uncomfortable handling pork products. Which meant no bacon and a turkey sausage. The sausage didn't sit right with the breakfast, it had a faint kebab taste, and as a suggestion a beef sausage would be a better fit. Other than that everything was great.

Fabulous hotel set somehow in the incongruous location of Oldbury. Bijou and boutique, the rooms are outstanding and well equipped, big telly and all the usual stuff you’d expect from a premium hotel plus the added convenience of a keyless security system. We had a lovely time, Maria was an outstanding host, attentive and engaging. She was very helpful with her local knowledge of trains and stuff. Would definitely come back.

Difficult to say anything negative about the place, but I like bigger bath towels, personally. That’s probably it, but the super king size bed more than made up for it!

Very stylish - superb, attentive customer service - very clean - lovely food - good security - airy rooms with windows that open (hoorah!). Maria is a fantastic hostess.

Being that bit further out obviously paid big dividends in terms of a much higher ‘value for money’ than city centre hotel basic rooms - only downside for me therefore is negotiating Birmingham’s busy multi lanes if travelling back into town! Having said that I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

The room was stylish with a nice wet room. The bed was comfortable. There were logos on towels, robes and napkins in the room. A large TV, iron and board, hairdryer and fan in the room. The keyless entry system was ok once we got the hang of it and the staff were very attentive.

A blind on the window would be nice, the curtains were very heavy so the room was always dark. The only option for applying makeup was in the wet room with a wet floor. The area is not the best, a few intresting characters hanging around outside our ground floor room.

The hotel was modern and super clean. The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. I loved the decor and layout of the room which made my stay really enjoyable. My stay was so enjoyable that I chose to stay in, ordered room service instead of going out for food as I normally do on these kind of trips

I found the door to the hotel closed at 3pm and had to ring the doorbell a couple of times to gain entry. This was after driving around for 10/15 mins looking for parking. I suggest the hotel provides directions for the alternative parking spaces at the rear of the hotel and be a little more clearer that parking is on street and limited.

The Breakfast was very good and rather different from other hotels, yummy domolette and shakshuka! Maria was very welcoming and so friendly and helpful. One feels at home when arriving at Domo boutique hotel, just like you are visiting Family, you are made at ease and comfortable. The rooms are all different and beautifully decorated. The shower was amazing and very powerful. It is the place to go to if you are ever staying in Oldbury.

Although I very much enjoyed my stay, I do feel that the hotel is slightly overpriced.

Gorgeous suites all individually decorated to a very high standard. The welcome from Maria was charming and heartfelt- wonderfully hospitable. This little Oasis is a real find for those who don't want to stay in the corporate hell of the NEC. There is a train that goes there direct. Excellent breakfast with great choice. Not just English – they serve shakshouka and avocado with eggs on toast etc. The food generally was very good. I recommend the curries and Asian starters .Not much that I could see in a local town so I would suggest eating there.
