My son is in hospital nearby so this was a perfect location for accessing the hospital each day. I stayed here from 21/5/25 to this morning 30/05/25. The staff are very friendly and help is at hand when and if you need it. The twin room meant I could bring my son there for a break out of the hospital and it was also his 21st Birthday this last week. I was able to create a lovely 21st environment in my room for him to relax in and process the major milestone he has reached. The rooms are very spacious with en-suite shower room, tea/cofffee making facilities and plenty of storage along with to. Both beds were very comfortable and the linen fresh and clean. The car park is free too so this is a great bonus. It is a pub/function venue also so the usual noise levels from this aspect but honestly nothing to complain about - its clean , friendly and its a case of easy come/easy go there . Also must mention its opposite Longbridge station that has you in Brum city centre New Street station in about 15/20 mins along with great bus routes, fantastic retail park that you can walk to in a couple of mins and an Omniplex about 10 mins in the car too in Rubery. Longbridge is a great place to stay and the drive into Brum city centre is around 20 mins too - access all routes /motorways easy from here. Drinks expensive and some of the staff very rude, need to work on there customer service manners

It's great quality and excellent value for money with great local amenities and transport with helpful staff Enjoyed the music from the dj plenty of clean towels and plenty of tea stuff in the rooms

TV didn't work but with entertainment on every night this didn't affect the overall stay here

Loved the location, staff where amazing and friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Beds where so comfy. Would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately there was no bin in my room and no TV remote. Unflushed toilet, the fire alarm went off and was unsure what to do. No one came outside and told us it was safe to come back inside so was left wondering.

Staff were great and very friendly. The bar was also great with plenty tvs showing the football and very friendly locals. Barman made me a lifesaving coffee in the morning to help with the hangover! The shower was outstanding.

Rooms were OK but basic, still good for the price. Could have done with coffee making facilities

This hotel is an absolute hidden gem. Clean as a whistle and jam packed with amenities. From being greeted by the eponymous Hope at the seamless check in to being serenaded by Welsh elvis impersonators and a performer with an unrelenting zeel for singing pitch-perfect reggae under the setting Birmingham sun. Without a shed of doubt in our hearts, we felt like members of the Greenland's family. Whilst we may not cross paths again, like ships in the night, we will always have the memories.

A tad outside Birmingham but easy links via train/bus/Uber doesn't really make this an issue

The room was basic but very clean, and the bed was really comfortable.

Some water glasses in the room would have been good and some perhaps some tea making facilities, but I understand that would probably put the room price up. Would like to have stayed for breakfast but couldn't find any details about it?????

Staff were so friendly and made you feel welcome Breakfast was lovely and very well priced. Room was clean and had all the usual amenities and beds were comfortable. Cheap and cheerful comes to mind

Bit noisy but it's a working pub with function room so to be expected. In fairness it didn't stop us sleeping! Could do with extra pillows for comfort

Friendly staff. Location perfect. Accommodation clean. Very good transport links.

TV unable to watch many channels due to poor reception. Bathroom very tight squeeze for large person. Loud music from wedding until midnight.....but did stop exactly at midnight.

Amazing sized family room with 4 beds, clean with helpful friendly staff. Tea and coffee facilities in the room despite the website stating this was not provided.

Only downside was there was no bin in my room so felt pretty guilty leaving the rubbish in a small bag.
