The staff were very lovely and friendly. The room was very spacious. The facilities were very enjoyable - me and my partner both used the swimming pool which has a sauna and steam room with it - we felt that our money was definitely well spent on that. The views are also quite nice. Once you enter the hotel also, there is a lovely sweet smell which carries on down the corridors. We were also happy that we found a fan in the wardrobe it came in handy during the warm night. Also, I quite like that the wardrobe was mirrored with good lighting so I was able to do my hair and makeup using those mirrors.

I was unable to have a bath due to the plug not tightly fitting into the hole and the water seeping through. There was a few friendly creatures on the walls of our room 🕷️which I understand cannot be faulted. There was multiple occasions that me and my partner were interrupted by someone trying to open the door, pulling the handle, shaking the door or putting the keycard in - obviously mistaking the room number. And on one of the mornings we were startled by assumably a fire alarm at 9:30 - luckily we were already up and awake however for many other customers I can imagine they had quite a fright!

We received a warm welcome from Marie as we went for afternoon tea first, which was outstanding. then to our rooms. We were very impressed with our superior room. Exceptionally clean & a beautiful big television. We had a nice reasonably priced meal which was served by Shi. We were also shown a room in consideration of booking up for parents 60th wedding anniversary.

The only thing we really disliked was the parking fee we mistakenly paid. It was not clear on here that we did not have to pay on arrival. So we were left £20 out of pocket. We mentioned it to the hotel staff and on both occasions we were told to contact the parking company and it had nothing to do with them. So we have and are awaiting an outcome. We will be staying again & hoping this will be resolved

The front of house staff were lovely. The receptionist was very welcoming and always had a smile on her face.

The food was dreadful. The only thing that brought our trip down. We had pre paid for an evening meal, the two children's meals had desserts included. We asked for the starters and mains to come out at the same time. We all order burgers, the burgers were burnt on the outside and cold. There were some options missing so we changed to what was available. We were then told there would be a wait on the desserts as a table of 8 had just ordered there mains. We then had to wait with 2 small children until the desserts came out and it was a long time, even though they had already been ordered. Breakfast was ok, the coffee wasn't great and would be nice to have pastries on offer also.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. My room was large and comfortable. Telly with all the channels. Window that could be opened for fresh air. Working heater, that kept the room nice and cosey. Room included two nice armchairs to sit. Carpark close to the reception. Overall excellent value for money and I was very pleased with my experience staying here.

The bathroom needed some refresh of paintwork etc as paint was peeling and had some stains on walls and around bath / shower area. There were not many plug sockets, so I had to plug my phone in out of reach of the bed, and when getting ready in the morning I had to unplug a lamp to use my straighteners so then I had less light.

Room was large, well furnished with a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. furnishings were good and cleanliness was excellent. The communal rooms were also excellent, Very well laid out, with an open fire in the middle. Carpeting throughout was good and a very comfortable lounge area. The internal corridors had recently been painted. There is evidence that this hotel was being worked on to uprate the facilities and this was confirmed by the staff. Breakfast was buffet style, but copius and varied. The Coffee bar/ Snack bar was also very good with light meals served which were very reasonably priced. All the staff were very approachable, pleasant and efficient.

The bathroom was very clean but was in need of an upgrade with several cracked floor tiles and a generally worn look. However, bearing in mind the obvious upgrades aroud the hotel, I'm sure this will be part of their upgrade program. The main thing was that it was clean, with fresh, soft towels and freshly laundered dressing gowns in the wardrobe. The only other down side was having to pay £5 per night for parking.

The hotel kindly gave us a free upgrade. The room was large and the beds comfortable. We wanted a room that was quiet, and it was.

There were no suitcase stands, making it difficult to find a suitable place to keep our cases while still being able to access items from them. The breakfast was tasty and generous. Although the room allocated to us was a free upgrade, it was up a flight of stairs and no lift was available. This made carrying our two suitcases up to our room challenging, especially given I have a mobility challenge that requires me to use a walking stick and avoid carrying heavy loads.

Exceptional customer service particularly from Fouzi, who went out of his way, above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable, food was absolutely delicious and his dessert recommendation was a taste sensation. Facilities were as described, pool, steam room and sauna ... excellent!! Starbucks coffee in the lounge. Room was clean and spacious, with TV, iron ironing board, hair dryer, fans, fridge and tea/ coffee. We had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate staying again, after reading some negative reviews, have to admit I was anxious about what we were walking into but seriously we had nothing to worry about.

A group of other people staying at the hotel were very loud and drunk, dealt with by the staff perfectly.

Lovely room, bathroom is dated but the room was large and welcoming, bed comfortable. Grand entrance area, really helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.

Booking.com didn't offer the ability to stay with a dog, but the hotel does welcome dogs. I booked through booking.com anyway and then contacted the hotel, which was really helpful and paid for the dog on check-in. There is an extra cost for parking and they don't take cash, it is card only payment through the hotel.

Spacious & comfortable rooms. Linen very good. The hotel has an exceptional lobby, with big open all round fireplace central to the lobby, dining room and bar adjacent. Thought and care has been given to Xmas decorations, making the area a very welcoming place. Staff very attentive

The room (181) had a pump to take the water away, whether bath, shower, handbasin or toilet, which took the edge off. No water glasses in room. One of the wall lights (reading) didnt work, probably just the bulb, but all should be checked daily by housekeeping.

I have never booked this hotel through booking.com before & never will again! I booked breakfasts & evening meals with my 2 night stay & booking.com gave me a price which I accepted. I arrived at the hotel only to find my meals were not included?? I had taken a screen shot of the deal but to no avail, therefore, i had to pay extra for my meals which made my stay very expensive & couldnt really afford. I have had problems with booking.com before, so never again will I use you!!
