Clean and comfortable room, comfy bed, nice big shower, on-site parking, friendly and helpful staff. A bonus is that there's a good restaurant a very short walk away., and the Avoncroft museum site is within walkingn distance too. The Hanbury Turn itself does good bar snacks. The pub had a nice atmosphere so provides a pleasant place to spend time when not out-and-about in the area. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Hanbury Turn for a stay in the area.

Advance warning that the breakfast cook would be away the weekend we were staying there could have improved the experience, a little, but there are other options nearby, so we managed OK.

Staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Room was nice, quiet. As it was "pizza night" there was a pizza trailer on the car park which was excellent, and although this is an external service to the accommodation, they permitted it to be brought inside no issues at all! Excellent! Room was lovely and clean, tea and coffee, biscuit, fresh linen & towels, everything you could need. Nice and quiet! I'll be back soon.

Comfortable, clean, rooms with nice bathroom facilities. Friendly, welcoming, staff. Nice atmosphere in the pub (friendly, chatty locals). Plus, it's handy for events at the nearby Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings.

They no longer offer breakfast BUT there' s a place very close by that does.

Great to find somewhere with a twin room. Bed was very comfy and the room had a good shower. Very good location for the Avon museum. Good value for money. Easy parking. Only a few rooms so quiet at night time once the pub closed.

Unclear how to check out. Pub itself isn't that inviting but would stay again as rooms ideal and it was good value. Would just eat/drink elsewhere.

Really glad we stayed here. Our room was perfect - immaculately clean, stylish, well equipped & very comfortable. Fantastic shower with big cubicle and powerful spray. Good insulation so no noise from pub - we slept well. Staff will service room daily if you wish but we were happy with change of towels & refreshing tea & coffee. Breakfast is outstanding - generous and well cooked with eggs from local farm & lovely fried mushrooms. The pub is fab - old-fashioned ale pub with great selection of beers, friendly people and good basic bar food (fresh cobs, pork pies & giant Scotch eggs on grab them - served warm & super tasty). Great location for our event at Avoncroft Buildings Museum - ten minutes walk. Staff are brilliant (*waves to Helen *) and so is landlord Gary. Everyone's friendly & really thoughtful.

Would be nice to have hooks on back of bathroom door? Otherwise nothing - love exactly how things are!

We needed a room for the night in this location and the Hanbury Turn was perfect for our needs. We have stayed here before. Perhaps little things are starting to go wrong - the basin didn’t drain as well as it should and a couple of handles are loose but it would take minor fixes. We would absolutely stay here again.

Comfy, close to venue attended, rooms in a good pub

Sat afternoon we ordered breakfasts for the next day, Sunday. Seems staff in pub were confused what their roles were & confused which guests had ordered breakfasts and which not; we went down for b. Sun morning, the Landlord was present seemed ok at first, then got annoyed when the other guests came down saying they had ordered breakfasts which he said he had no idea about. It was CLEARLY his staff the night before caused this issue not taking note who ordered what. He would not accept blame himself & kept making excuses, not once did he apologise for poor communications on HIS side. Breakfast was fab tho’. Better Parking for guests also needs sorting out.

Beds were comfortable and location super for our needs. Pub was very quiet and staff very respectful and helpful.

Comforters on the bed could be bigger as they were “just” fitting the bed and kept slipping off. Chemical toilet had a bit of a chemical smell at times but not bothersome at times didn’t bother us at all. We had the room with 2 twin beds. Nice to have touches like a kettle and packets of tea/hot chocolate as well as bottles of water, biscuit packages and hairdryer.

Booked this room based on previous reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Warm and friendly welcome. Lovely room. Parking. Nice cosy bar with great selection of ales.

Had read that they did great breakfasts and would have liked to book in for breakfast, but not possible due to chef being away. Hopefully next time!

The first thing that struck me was the friendliness of the people who go there, a home like atmosphere where I just seemed to fit in without question, all helped by the friendly staff who work there. This is a traditional home like pub, as it should be. A place where you will be engaged. Accommodation, is clean modern and comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities. Great value for money in my view.
