Extremely friendly welcome from Mark & Julie. Great attention to detail and evidently a well-organised and well-run set-up but within a relaxed atmosphere so you'd hardly notice. Breakfast freshly made and served at your pace. Brilliant bathroom (in Bridges room) and very comfortable bed, with extra pillows for those needing them. Really appreciated the parking area - with locked gate at night - and lovely garden area. Less than a five minute walk to the Pickled Plum at 135, High Street, where we had a really good meal. Shame we couldn't extend our stay as Pershore seems to offer lots of activities, including music concerts at the Abbey. Maybe next time!

A really nice B&B, clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The shower was excellent, the parking secure, and it’s in a great location just a short walk from Pershore town centre, with pubs, restaurants, unique shops, the Number 8 arts centre, a leisure centre, and the impressive abbey. I had excellent meals at Thai Legend, The Pickled Plum, and Jimmy Pickles Indian restaurant, all within walking distance. Breakfast was fresh, made to order, and offered a good variety. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and their home has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. A solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

From our point of view Woodlands is perfectly positioned for our needs. It is beautifully and lovingly run by its owners: Julie and Mark, who are fully involved in Pershore life, and are therefore brilliantly positioned to help guests with all their needs and questions. Julie and Mark are friendly, kind, courteous and interested in their guests - the perfect hosts. The house is very well presented - comfortable, well maintained and immaculately clean - a pleasure to spend time in. We’re probably not the best people to judge the breakfast menu, as we don’t eat a cooked breakfast, but the range of options was extensive, and the simpler options we chose, including my husband’s porridge, which is always very much a question of individual preference, we thoroughly enjoyed. We are returning guests, and will be more than happy to visit again, as will members of our family, and friends, who are visiting the area.

Woodlands is one of the very best bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. On arrival Julie made us a much needed large strong pot of tea. The house has real historical character and has been modernised with great care. The bedroom was well appointed and spotless with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large with both a huge bath and shower. Julie and Mark are most welcoming, interesting and engaging hosts. The choice and quality of the breakfast is outstanding. The rooms contain a kettle and a range of hot drinks and superior biscuits. A nice touch at night is a bottle of cold drinking water left outside the door. At the back of the house there is sufficient parking for all. Woodlands is well located being close to Pershore centre and the bus stops to both Worcester and Evesham, furthermore the train station is in walkable distance. We aim to use this accommodation again when we visit Worcester based family and friends in the future.

There is nothing to dislike.

Friendly responsive hosts, convenient location for the Wyke Manor annual flowerfields, the River Avon moorings and walking distance to the great Historic Abbey. Easy to find with parking on site. Enjoyable Welcome drink.on arrival & delicious homemade healthy breakfast in the morning. Lovely clean room. Fantastic back-garden well-maintained, perfect to sit and read a good book in the sunshine.

I hadn't realised that in order to get a double-bed instead of 2 single beds put together, this meant to accepting a smaller room purple bedspread (96ft2) because we had expected the bigger room (193 ft2) orange bedspread with the booking of the Family Room with ensuite, which included a sitting area. Luckily we only had a 1 night stay so we were fine. The step to the bathroom of our given room is a bit of hazard & tricky at night and there is no handle in the shower unit for elderly guest (even if there's an anti-slip mat available). Breakfast before 9am a bit earlier than anticipated but allowed us to explore the high street independent and charity shops at lunchtime.

Perfect hosts! Mark and Julie were personable, accommodating and knowledgeable! We booked the family room for a night as we were in Pershore for a wedding. Our two young children were welcome to run in the garden in the sunshine before we went to the wedding. Both Julie and Mark were warm, chatty and made everyone feel at ease. Breakfast was prompt and delicious. We loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent, big and clean. Lovely bedding. Chilled water provided at night as well as tea and coffee facilities. Cooked breakfast was exceptional, the bacon was at a new level. Unforgettable!

I cannot think what could be better. We had a double bed, a bed settee and characterful en suite. We brought extra pillows but that was just us! Nothing to fault here whatsoever.

The family room was beautiful. The pull out bed could have fit our entire family in it. The breakfast was delicious. Our boys were bouncing from cereal to toast to a sausage butties, all were great! Nothing but good things to say about Woodlands 159! We did not spend much time in the room due to us attending a party, but all our requests were met and they were lovely with our 6 and 1 year old boys!

Zero negatives

We loved our stay, our hosts Mark & Julie were superb in every detail. The house was fitted with triple glazing so the High Street traffic was not heard, one could hear a pin drop! The cold water in a glass bottle which was placed & found outside our bedroom door when we returned from our best Indian meal ever tasted (recommendation from Mark & Julie) is an example of our they care for their guests. The breakfast was amazing. Lovely thick rasher of bacon, no fat and to be presented with a choice of 3 home made preserves to put on the toast was absolutely divine. Would recommend folks stay at Woodlands, 159 Hight Street any time to receive the full Julie & Mark treatment! As fellow B&B operators (The PitStop) we know about standards and our hosts provided the 5 star treatment - well done all round. Melvyn & Sindy x

Nothing - perfection

EVERTHING!! Mark & Julie are AMAZING hosts! So friendly it's like going to stay with family. They really make you feel like their home is your home and nothing is too much trouble for them. I especially loved Julie's homemade jams, hashbrowns & courgette fritters which were such a lovely alternative to vegetarian sausages. Queen Victoria you are definitely worthy of the title! Rich and I cannot wait to visit again and we want to thank you both for such a wonderful weekend!
