The hotel is in a lovely setting and despite some members of staff being a bit over-friendly, the manager was extremely kind and professional and, should our taxi not have arrived, offered to drive us himself to our destination. This was much appreciated and far exceeded our expectations. So thank you again.

The hotel in general was too cold. There was a problem in the restaurant and we waited for 25 minutes for our ordered drinks to arrive. We were told that there had been 'a problem in the bar'. Staff were suitably apologetic and did their best to compensate by not charging us for the drinks when they did arrive. However, we would have preferred to have our drinks delivered in a timely manner and paid for them! The food was overpriced and disappointing. A lamb dish at £35 was minimal in size and average in taste. A chicken dish was simply 'chicken and chips' and whilst claiming a named chef is involved in the menu, we saw no evidence of first rate cooking.

I thought that the receptionist who greeted me was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable whilst remaining very professional. She showed me to my room offered suggestions for me to manage the site as I use a scooter/wheelchair. Sadly, I cannot remember her name but as a first point of contact, I cannot fault her. the building is magnificent and grounds well kept. I really enjoyed my breakfast-plenty of choice and excellent service. I had two evening meals, the first so good that when I came back form my trip I ordered the same main course! There is a spa with leisure facilities available for an extra charge and I plan to try them when I return for a third visit sometime with my Husband.

I used the EV chargers without difficulty or any queues however they are in the main car par which is up a very steep hill. My scooter couldn't manage the gradient without keep cutting out. I certainly would have really struggled in my wheelchair. There are a limited number of disabled spaces near to the main building and a pick up/drop off area so I would recommend that anyone with limited mobility use the appropriate facility.

The location for the purposes of our visit was ideal. Breakfast was very good, but would have appreciated some more fruit. Staff were very helpful regarding special dietary requirements. Dinner menu limited but very good as well. Late addition to our travel plans requiring an additional night´s stay was easily arranged.

The immediate surroundings were more built-up than anticipated, There was some litter, broken bottles, bottle tops, cigarette ends left on the ground in front of "Pear Tree Mews". We reported a defective door lock on our room which wasn´t fixed.

Beautifully presented building and grounds. Staff very friendly and helpful. Due to being far away from other food premises, we found that evening meal prices although on the high side, was worth it as the food nicely cooked and presented. We had afternoon tea too which was really nice. Room was beautiful, overlooking front lawn and massive. Best bed we’ve slept in for a long time. If you like cats, you’ll love the hotel cat…Zeus!

Breakfast included, but a little underwhelming if I’m honest. It’s quite remote so better for couples or those happy to stay in one spot. No spa, or pool, and shame there aren’t more facilities on site. Not much negative to say about the hotel.

Beautiful location, wonderful building. Excellent staff, polite and helpful. Food is excellent.

The room was comfortable and relatively clean, but lots of cobwebs and dust in the room. There was a chandelier above the bed that had lots of cobwebs hanging from it. A couple of tiny spiders on the ceiling, some cobwebs here and there. Just a general feeling of needing a more thorough clean. Bed very comfortable, pillows a bit hard, bathroom very clean. Another spider dangled on its web in front of me while I was eating breakfast, but we swatted it away. Restaurant has lovely views over the grounds and countryside, we were lucky enough to get a window seat for breakfast.

My room was very spacious, with a fabulous view of the garden and valley below. There is ample parking, and it is complimentary. They have a beautiful dining room with a small breakfast buffet, that also includes options for a hot breakfast. The center of Evesham is just a short 5 minute drive away, and has a large Tesco market that sells just about anything you might need. It was an easy drive to Stratford-upon-Avon and many Cotswold villages.

Extra drawer space for clothing would have been convenient.

The Wood Norton is a lovely hotel, one of those rare, special places to stay. Booked around 2 weeks in advance and after reading many reviews put a request in to have a room in the main building rather than the Annex - which was confirmed in a message that they would accommodate the request. On check-in we were allocated a room in the Annex, I reminded the receptionist of the message and she kindly assigned us room 204 on the 2nd floor (there is a modern lift). The room was fabulous and appreciated. A lovely comfy bed, cotton bed linen, air con that kept the room at an optimal temp, a great bathroom with a powerful shower - all perfect. Was a beautiful day, we got a couple of drinks and sat out on a garden lounger on the back lawn and enjoyed the sunshine where was encountered the hotel cat, a beautiful Maine Coon called 'Zeus' who like most cats chooses his company carefully. Breakfast the following day was superb though there was evidently a shortage of staff and it looked like they were preparing for a grand wedding reception.

Had a rather 'off-hand' encounter with a lady working in the bar, my partner felt quite uncomfortable and hurt, nothing was said but the whole demeanour and delivery was rather rude.

The location was excellent. Fabulous views of the countryside. Great outdoor space. Food exceeded our expectation, so good. Staff excellent. Chef magnificent.

The bed wasn’t too comfortable and the pillows were very lumpy. The quilt was a winter feather one which in the heat was disastrous. I need a walk in shower as I have chronic arthritis but did not check with the hotel which I should have. We paid for a Superior room and perhaps I expected it. Would definitely stay again though but would need these changes in the room.
