Fabulous old pub with everything you would expect from staying in the Cotswolds. The breakfasts were generous and yummy and the food generally was great with all the expected dishes. The staff were all extremely friendly and the bar area is cosy and full of chatty crowds every evening. We were close to some great walks and the village still feels like it has actual residents, not just tourist shops and short stay holiday lets. We could also get around the rest of the area easily. Room was small but comfortable and the shower room/toilet worked well with the basin out in the room itself.

Our room overlooked the internal courtyard and the smoke from patrons and staff came up into the room through the small window so we had to keep it closed. Would recommend booking a room with a different aspect unless you are a smoker yourself or you don't mind closed windows!

Bedroom was quiet, clean, pleasantly warm and had all we needed. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

I knew in advance that I was going to have to park in the street, but when we arrived in the afternoon there were no parking spaces anywhere near the hotel and I had to park about 200 yards away and carry baggages in from there. The bedroom was fine (room 7) but the very low beam across the passage between outer and inner door came as a surprise. Although we managed fine, and it gave the room character, and made the visit memorable, it could have been difficult for anyone who would find bending double difficult. There should have been some prior warning of this (I don't think I missed something at the booking stage but its possible I did)

Our stay at the Eight Bells Inn in Chipping Campden was wonderful!! I wanted to find a cozy bed and breakfast in the Cotswolds that offered a nice pub meal with a good atmosphere and a delicious English breakfast in the morning- and we got exactly that!! The room was really nice. We only stayed one night, but I could have happily stayed there a weekend or longer! There was lots of room to unpack and settle in. Chipping Campden is a quintessential English village with lots to see as you stroll around with friendly people and local businesses. Everything was in walking distance of the Eight Bells Inn. Definitely recommend!

We went to the Eight Bells for dinner because my husband was given a voucher for his 50th birthday last year. We decided to stay the night as well and were glad that we did because the food and the drink were wonderful, the staff were fab and the Inn itself is lovely! Would definitely go back again as it is quite near to us and we would love to try their Sunday lunch!

Everything was lovely - we had no complaints at all. The shower was a bit fiddly in the bathroom but that was about it really - We would love to go back and recommend the place to people who want to explore the village as it is in a great location and isn't overpriced

We loved our room which had plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. Staff were very nice and the breakfast was good. The pub had a nice warm atmosphere. And the beautiful church around the corner (where the name - Eight Bells - comes from) is truly beautiful. This added to the historic feel of this 14th century inn. We really enjoyed our stay.

There could have been proper shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. I brought my own because it is a pub so not really expected but prices are in the hotel range.

Everything about the Eight Bells Inn was fantastic. We loved the location in Chipping Campen, the Inn's history, the beautiful pub, the cask ales, the friendly and very helpful staff, our comfortable room, an amazing Saturday night dinner, and delicious breakfasts. Truly, everything on my wish list. We would be interested to know if you decide to use the Eight Bells logo on apparel or other collectibles. I cannot think of a single thing that we didn't like about the Eight Bells Inn. It was highly recommended to us and lived up to the hype on every level.

The Eight Bells is a beautiful old building and our room was very comfortable. We had a fantastic evening meal and a very nice full English breakfast all local ingredients. The staff were very efficient friendly and helpful and it made wonderful short break. There is no car park and this was stated in details but it was easy to park on road nearby and parking is free

Absolutely love this place. This is our third stay. The staff are wonderful led by the super Julie and Karl. The food is just wonderful and so beautifully cooked and presented. The rooms are really comfortable and have all the things you need. The usual tea, hot chocolate and lovely coffee bags. Biscuits and water bottles replenished each morning when they service the room. Of course there are the usual toiletries in the bathroom. There is also a fan, hairdryer and a little ironing board and iron! Breakfast is lovely and freshly cooked. Highly recommend this hotel. The fact that the pub is lovely is the cherry on top!

Amazingly characterful property with a lovely atmosphere. Despite its age, the pub/restaurant & our room were lovely & warm. The staff were so very friendly; friendly, smiling & attentive. The owner/Manager Julie, even gave us a lift to our nieces wedding venue when we found it impossible to get a taxi... an over & above level of kindness!! The food was outstanding. Both the meal in the restaurant (my steak was perfectly cooked) & the full English we enjoyed on both mornings; all freshly cooked, well presented, hot & excellent quality (given their intense colour, the eggs were clearly local farm eggs) We both slept really well. The bed was so comfortable.

The Eight Bells couldn't have done anything better. The only slight negative was quite a noisy group in the adjoining rooms on Saturday night & with their proximity they disturbed us but all was quiet by 11pm so not really an issue.

We arrived when there were spaces right outside so parking was easy. Michael who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The pub itself was well stocked and the fire inside was warm and inviting. The beer was good and the food was excellent. The price for us included breakfast and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were fantastic!

Room 3 was very cold when we arrived as the window had been left open and it got very warm in the night as the bathroom heater came on. Small issues but you did ask.
