Perfect for us to stop over as our family live close by. Very clean and reasonably priced. The charge for our dog was amazing so much cheaper than most places. We always cover the carpets to cut down on dog hairs and also the edges of the bed incase he rubs against it. We appreciate your charges and want to repay that by doing this.

Would have had a cooked breakfast if it had been available. Location was convenient just a bit noisy with the traffic but that is not your fault. Room very spacious. Shower very good and easy to use. Bed big and comfy.

This is a budget hotel and it has seen better days. However, the reception staff were all friendly and helpful and the desk was manned at all times. The rooms have keys rather than electronic swipe cards so no issues with getting into the room! The room was large if a little empty and the bed was comfortable. There were mirrors and power points where you needed them. The TV had a straightforward remote control, the shower and bath were easy to use and the lift was working! The breakfast was adequate for the price and there were tea and coffee options in the room. Most impressive was the free parking on site which is a rare facility these days! All in all I think this little hotel was excellent value for money 😀

The rooms really do need refurbishment but then the cost of the rooms might well increase. Balancing cost against value the only minor issue I can think of is that I would have liked a bath mat for the bathroom. Probably worth saying that this is a hotel very much for you to put down your head at night, not as somewhere to enjoy as a leisure destination in its own right.

Was a nice property hidden round the back of a pub fair size place tidy very polite staff.

Located by the side of the railway lines so you had the noise from the trains, and being situated on the grounds of a pub.Also had the noise from that late into the night and being a really hot day all windows are open, there was a fan in the room but the fan blades spun and made a noise but very little cool air came from it which I found weird.But unfortunately, I was unable to stay the 4 nights, and had to leave early in the morning. The 3 other nights were cancelled but I was disgusted to find out, that the free cancellation came with a fee of the first night stay, and the first night stay was the most expensive of £75

The location close to the railway station, 20 min walk from the town centre, restaurants and a pub nearby, free parking. The Staff were very helpful and they are really an asset of this hotel . They made my stay pleasurable. Definitely good value for money.

Breakfasts - didn't realise there is no restaurant and booked breakfasts fo the whole 14 day stay - every day the same packed lunch..ok once or twice but very boring otherwise...

Easy to find and and only a very short drive to/from Avoncroft Historical buildings collection. Friendly receptionists, handy parking, excellent room, and handy eateries for dinner and a small supermarket in easy walking distance, and at an incredibly modest price!

The keep to the room door, which was of such soft metal that it twisted in the lock. No breakfast facilities (not a problem for us this time as we were trading at the International Living History Festival at Avoncroft), but I didn't notice any local breakfast cafes.

The lift worked, the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was better than expected, car park was large enough to park my hire van,and the staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all it was a good stay.

There was a very noisy pub nxt door and the chippy on the corner was closed by 10pm.

With the word "budget" in its name I didn't expect much but do you know what this place was very good value for money. The Pub next door (the Ladybird Inn) was friendly and had a nice selection of nightcaps. The continental breakfast was workmanlike but again good value for money. The hotel is also close to the train station which meant my stroll, on a glorious morning, there to go back to the Office wasn't sweaty at all.

Nothing really, great value overnight.

Breakfast was very good, plenty of variety and sufficient to last until lunchtime. The room and in particular, the bed was fine, everything I needed for a one night stay.

Cleanliness in the bathroom could have been better, there was toothpaste spray around the mirror. Car parking was alright, but there were too few disabled parking bays, but the car park was not very big and was shared with a pub, not perfect.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Access through the hotel was easy with prompt lift, easy stairs. I liked having real keys for the doors rather than electronic card. The person on reception at arrival was very friendly and welcoming - as was in the morning at checkout but I hardly had any contact with them. The location of the hotel near the railway station and shops and restaurants was excellent

A little more information about the Banners take-away cafe would have been useful, in particular that it opened earlier than the main restaurant which was essential for my time of departure. It was easy to mistake it for a grocery shop and I found no info about it before my stay; it was only when another of the group I met knew about it that I found out
