Value...good budget hotel. Parking! Basic facilities but perfectly adequate; room clean and comfortable. Shower hot and powerful. Wd stay again. Despite hotel being floor above busy club/bar, rm 14 was at the back, away from bar and backing onto woodland/brambles so very quiet except for the delightful sound of birdsong in the morning!

No bedside light. Nowhere in bathroom, such as a shelf, to put toiletries etc on. No toilet roll holder! Stayed 2 nts and room wasn't serviced...luckily I didn't mind making the bed and didn't require fresh towels or any more tea/coffee but it wd have been nice if the mug had been washed.

For the price I paid the accomodation was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, I couldn't get the heater working but staff came and showed me how to work it (a switch on the wall). The room was warm, clean and comfortable and tea / coffee making equipment provided. I had a lovely shower which was lovely and warm and a great flow. Plenty of plugs by both sides of the bed. I didn't arrive until late so didn't expect them to be serving food, but this was served until 8pm and I had a meal which was freshly made (including chips) and good value for money. Breakfast was also freshly made, tasty and very good value for money (my only complaint there was it was instant coffee and not fresh, so I had orange juice the next day instead so not a problem.

The shelf in the wardrobe bit was on the floor when I arrived - there was a peg missing for it to rest on. I did put it up and was just mindful to be carful with it, but it could do with a new peg. There are no hooks in the bathroom for towels. Fresh coffee at breakfast would be nice - but for the price I paid I can't complain

For the money, this hotel was exactly what we needed it. Cheap, cheerful, and comfortable, close to the city centre. Breakfast is optional for a fee (we opted to eat in the city), but staff were helpful, and the bar downstairs was fun to have a drink in. Rooms were generally clean, even if the hotel generally needs a bit of a refresh.

For the money, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The TV remote did not work, but this did not make a huge impact. However, the Wifi signal could be better.

Excellent services from staff. Quiet area. Room adequate. Clean beddings were supplied. It is a plus sign to note that the hotel has a brilliant entertainment system. NETFLIX & YOUTUBE worked perfectly well.

The shower tray needs a bit of TLC. There are dark stains, possibly algae around the shower tray. A few of the electric switch boxes don't work.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. The room was an ensuite and was very clean and comfortable. It had all that was needed for a brief stay - no fuss , just good plain cooking and very good value for money. The room was very quiet and had tea facilites too. There is also a bar with snooker and TV . Excellent for watching sport and relaxing. There was no evening meal, as it was the weekend but the staff supplied plate etc for takeaway food.

I think for the price, I don't think one could ask for more.

Very Organised, warm/friendly staff, good sized room, plenty of hanging room and storage, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee facility in room, sheets/bedding/towels were crisp/clean as was room and bathroom...very clean 10/10, quiet nights sleep, good breakfast options and bar/club available too

A little tlc in shower, could do with hand rail for hand towel (hook on back of door for bath towel was fine), whilst sheets were crisp & clean, they need to be a little bigger to fit mattress as they kept coming away during the night.

Room clean, spacious. Beds comfortable

Shower needed a good clean, mould in places at the bottom of tray, drainage was slow. Shower hose needed attention as it appeared not to have been used for a long time. General decor needed; simple paste of slightly peeling walpaper and sproucing up.

The staff is very friendly. And the restaurant's atmosphere is spectacular. During my stay, there was a gathering of friends and family, which created a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Delicious food and excellent beer.

The sink is too small to put water in the kettle.

Breakfast was excellent & good value for money. Room was clean & comfortable. Bathroom shower was good.. Price for room, food & drinks very reasonable.

No shelving or cupboard space for toiletries. Not enough hangers.in space for hanging clothes..

Location was handy for where we needed too get to, room was very good, bar and food where excellent, staff friendly,kind,caring and polite, the lodge was very clean and tidy, will definitely be coming back highly recommended, well done too all involved
