It was the happy, kind, helpful staff that made my stay here a good experience especially Tom who always went above & beyond.The room was spacious & clean with good facilities, TV, hairdryer, kettle, iron & ironing board. Plenty of space with a desk to study & bed was really comfortable. Great powerful shower over bath, plenty of towels. Stayed here for 2 weeks only had breakfast twice but was lovely & enough to choose from. Location was perfect for me as needed to be near Stonebridge college which was a 5 min walk & only 10-15 min walk to city centre & 5min to tram stop.

No aircon in room & could do with a refurb bathroom was a little dated & some area of hotel look a little tired. Fabric chairs in bar are covered in stains. No lift.

Hotel is old an tired but the staff make up for it in friendliness and helpfulness. I have stayed here before and the room I had this time was much nicer (in the main building). The bed is comfy, the wifi reliable and its pretty quiet. The area is good as its on the edge of the city and close to Edgbaston village.

The heating is sketchy. Its always too cold in my opinion and you cant adjust your own room. I asked a couple of times for it to be turned up but it made no difference. The price point is right for the hotel, just think the parking should be included (whoever you book with).

Thanks to the friendly folks at P&H we were fortunate to be upgraded for this stay, the room had a very comfortable bed & was surprisingly quiet. Overall the P & H rooms are a little tired, so we usually only stay when the prices are much better than the Delta / Park Regis, but this time the room was very comfortable - we recommend the 'deluxe' grade! The P&H staff are always welcoming and the public areas / rooms have aways been very clean.

The car park charge is a little high at £15 given there is nowhere easy to find to park free (and feel safe) nearby, its a bit of a monopoly, can obviously understand charging but feels a bit steep given theres no realistic option (its the same price as Delta / P Regis but there are more options for those hotels).

This hotel was really nice, I loved the vintage decor and the staff were super friendly. I would stay here again based on the interior alone. The place had a very cozy atmosphere to it.

I do wish it were a little closer to the center but it wasn't a big issue, we were able to take a bus up and back. We did need to get an Uber to the location we were headed to, but again, it wasn't bad. The bathroom was beautiful, but the bath is very steep and not ideal if you're prone to accidents, but there are signs up to try to prevent this, I still fell though. 😆

A pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Our room was very spacious and clean, with tea/coffee facilities and at least a 50 inch tv. The breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice of cereals, fruit juice, coffee etc and hot food in a large old fashioned dining room. The lounge and bar area were in keeping with a bygone era, as was the general feel of the hotel We enjoyed our stay very much.

Not serving a dinner in the restaurant on a Friday evening. And we didn't know the code to lift the barrier to get out of the car park. We had to ask at the reception.

It didn’t feel uncomfortable and overly modern like most hotels nowadays. It had a comfortable and welcoming feel and the staff were friendly and nothing was too much for them. We arrived back at the hotel at around 1am after an event to be greeted by the night staff and he was lovely. Offered us iced water, if we’d like to book breakfast for the morning and wished us safe travels for our drive home the next day. And the wonderful lady at the front desk (09/05) was so helpful- really made the stay very welcoming.

Some of the flooring on the 1st floor was a bit uneven, but this is me being very particular.

Love the garden and terrace. Welcome respite from the city. Chose central location for ease of public transport. Metro train and buses at hand. Cars reduced due to city toll. Many places of interest nearby , Barber Institute at Birmingham University, Black Country Museum, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Aston Hall - accessible by train or bus. Jacobean furnished in the style of the period, near Aston Villa football club for sports fans. Good range of restaurants. I like the Garden House, Hagley Road short walk out from the city.

Very generous range of breakfast foods. Last time I had breakfast. Too generous for me !.

HOTEL , lovely decor, clean , and welcoming. The staff excellent, Tom on reception went over and above with his excellent customer service skills and knowledge. Breakfast was lovely , eggs cooked as requested so they are fresh from the pan x Lovely hotel stay for my 1st week ...looking forward to my 2nd week of training as a FHP as the college is near by , without any doubt am sure my 2nd stay with be comfortable and delightful as the 1st stay . Beautiful hotel, very comfortable and clean. Close to tram stop or a 15 Min walk into the city. Ample secure parking

Buffet style breakfast but totally disorganised. Unable to eat together as a family as dishes constantly empty and not replenished. Long wait for dishes to be replenished, but only then aminimal quanity of fresh hot dishes provided at a time. Continental choices were the same, constantly not replenished Restaurant staff appwared very reluctant to serve refreshments. When actually provided tea would be luke warm and table not cleared when eaten.

The hotel is looking a little tired, is in need of an update and some maintenance, but was generally clean and tidy. Bed was comfy and room was quiet. The staff in the reception, bar and restaurant were superb, they exceeded our expectations in every manner. Drinks selection in the bar was decent and the prices were very fair.

The bathroom was in need of some maintenance (shower hose leaked, sink sealant was badly cracked). The hotel generally needs a good overhaul and update!
