The room was SO clean! No spec of dust anywhere. Bathroom was sparkling

The pillows, and the confusion about breakfast. Upon check in they give you a slip of paper that said breakfast times. According to this sheet breakfast finished at 9am! So we went elsewhere for breakfast in the morning, which then made us late for checkout. Upon calling the hotel to tell them this, their reply was that they serve breakfast too! When we got back to the hotel to check out we looked at the slip again, saw that breakfast did finish at 9 and spoke to a lovely staff member on checkout. The times on the slip were for reservations for breakfast, not the time they stop serving. This needs to be made clearer as we would have stayed for breakfast for sure!

Everything, I was in the two bedroom cottage in the courtyard and even though there is a busy road outside my place was set back. The courtyard is gated so privacy is maintained. The cottage was immaculate, I would make my way to the main restaurant/bar (of course no alcoholic drinks were served that early) the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Yes I was a solo traveller but where I stayed would be a good place for a small family. I would highly recommend

Room excellent, evening meal and breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location for town centre and had a great time Easter Saturday at the castle and jousting event on the castle grass.

Metal steps up to room a bit steep. Could have been painted lighter colour to show up better in dark and imagine they could be really slippery on a wet day? Would have booked a kingsize bed but price seemed a bit steep.

Very clean. Excellent shower. Free parking. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast with an excellent choice (if you book via Booking.com you order breakfast from the menu in the morning and pay per item so it was a bit more expensive than we'd expected).

We stayed in a room in the rear building which was accessed up a steep fire escape. The walls were very thin and we could hear the person next door talking and snoring!

Christopher's breakfast excellent menu choice - an expensive addition to room cost. Bedroom overlooking the car park had a good size shower (slippery floor). A shelf over the basin would be useful. All staff friendly/helpful.

Not particularly good rooms. 1 overlooked car park and external air con units only 1 opening window, the other overlooked the main road, had no opening windows and cramped bathroom.

Very clean warm and inviting we stayed in room 1 delux double. The restaurant/ which severed breakfast, lunch and evening meals was excellent. Can’t remember when I had such a hot plate of food of very nice quality. Breakfast choice and quality excellent. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

We went for a walk to get a birthday card area not appealing at all, some strange people But we weren’t there for a holiday, we needed a place to stay for one night as I had an appointment close by. We would definitely use this hotel again if we need to be at the same location again

Our room was great, nice and big and very clean... great location, walking distance to the town. Parking was great, right at our door. Would recommend no problem.

would have marked 10/10 but.... at breakfast i found the prices a bit hard to swallow, £1.50 for a slice of toast, would have been ok if it was from an uncut loaf, and a sausage was £2.25... again if it was a good quality farm produce sausage.. OK.. but it wasn't, was actually a pretty cheap one.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and no problem with swapping items to accommodate preferences, with personal service. The towels were fluffy and huge. The staff were lovely - helpful, friendly and smiley

The bathroom door squeaked and needed WD40! But we told someone in the morning and they immediately put it on the list of things to be dealt with.

The room was over a courtyard which provided parking for guests. It was quiet, despite being just off a main road, and the room itself was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Tea and coffee included ground coffee and a cafetiere! The bathroom had very nicce toiletries and huge fluffy towels. The attached restaurant also offered an excellent breakfast. The staff were delightful too and really thoughtful and helpful. A number of good restaurants were within a few minutes' walk.

Anyone with mobility problems would need to ensure they got a ground floor room as the steps up were very steep. This wasn't a problem for us, but I imagine might be.

Cottage No 1 in Peel Aldergate was perfect for our 2 night stay to Tamworth. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the 2 bedrooms were perfect for 2 adults and 2 children and the beds were really comfortable. After a change to our schedule the day of check in, I rang the hotel to see if they could facilitate out of hours check in and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Keys were left in a drop box and all of the details were sent to me via WhatsApp, including a walk through video. This is an exceptional service. This location was our base for exploring Cadbury World, Sea Life and Drayton Manor (10 mins drive). Only a 10 minute walk from Tamworth Train station.

There was nothing that we didn't like. This accommodation was excellent.
