The room, the views, the hotel itself and the staff. Breakfast was excellent and food in Sams Club was also very good

The fact that there was a 10% service charge on every drink, food item or chocolate bar as it wasn't particularly cheap in the first place (which you expect). You tip when you are satisfied with the service you receive. Most if the staff in Sam's Clubhouse were not impressed when we asked for it to be removed (not all, 2 were very nice about it). We were in for 5 hours so would have been a quite a big spend. We also had to clear our own table of glasses and plates on more than one occasion. I am a Licensee myself so fully understand the workings of hospitality. We paid £32 for a bottle of wine in Sam's would have been more had we paid the 10% service charge (pretty rubbish at 11% too - was the cheapest on offer) When googled it, it retailed at..... wait for it.... £4.12

On arrival we were upgraded which was a lovely bonus and as the room overlooked one of the tee off's and we had gone for the golf this was amazing, I used the gym and the swimming pool which was great, there was always a member of staff on hand to assist any queries

One of the evenings we ordered food from the Sam's Bar and had to wait over an hour for food with me constantly chasing the issue, and when it did arrive it went to the wrong table and was missing one of the sides. The bar staff were not exactly helpful but on reporting this to the reception on check out we were immediately reimbursed.

Great hotel for the British Masters. Great options for dining and easy access to the event. Room was in the perfect position/location and will be back next year! Shout out to Shay in Sams Bar - dining. The numbers in the establishment were high but he could not do enough for a table of 6 to be accommodated! Thank you

Some staff are amazing and really go the extra mile… some not so much. Seating in Sam’s bar dining area require reupholstering - well worn. Toilets at the actual event were well maintained on Saturday but this standard did lower on the Sunday near the 9th hole - no soap etc

Staff were friendly and attentive. Our request for an alternative room was arranged quickly and efficiently.

The spa and pool area were in need of an update - there were signs saying this was being planned. We asked for an alternative room as the view was a brick wall. Within a few minutes we were told to head back to reception and we would be given another room . The alternative room was much larger and an accessibility room. The view was a flat roof and a there was a loud “extractor fan” which was quite loud when the window was opened.

Property is lovely, lots of character, we stayed in the new block this year as it has air con, lovely and we overlooked the golf course

We ordered food in the bar, it took ages to arrive and we had to ask where it was, it was then delivered but was cold, it seems that it had been in the kitchen waiting to be served! They gave us a refund which was accepted. It wasn’t that busy at the time but it spoiled our last day, as we couldn’t eat the food and were travelling home straight afterwards so left hungry!

Bed was really comfy and the room was spacious. Our room had a sliding door with table and chairs that led outside which was great. The whole hotel was really relaxed and the atmosphere was great at night. It reminded us of when we had been on a cruise. Free table tennis and badminton outside... And mini golf (£7 each). Pool was good albeit a little busy though. Breakfast buffet was great. Even had poached eggs in the selection which is something I hadn't seen before. Staff were really attentive. Sorry didn't get photos of room, but first is a picture from outside our room.

Our shower in the room was really small, low shower head and not spacious either (we were on ground floor room 1504).. My girlfriend who is 5ft 6 couldn't even stand straight it was that low ( at the showers maximum height)... interesting. I know this isn't a problem with the other rooms, as the room I booked online looked different, much larger bathroom.. However we got a sliding door outside so I was happy with the compromise since I showered in pool changing rooms anyway. The fact that it didn't ruin the stay shows how much we enjoyed it, we were only here one night and everything else was great, even the weather. Overall really happy.

Staff exceptionally friendly and efficient and cleanliness of the rooms was a high standard. Attended for the British Master’s Golf and it was impressively organised. Grounds and course were immaculate.

Guests of the hotel could attend the golf. However, this was not advertised and we also purchased tickets to attend the golf. There was a service charge added to drinks at the bar even when you walked up to the bar to be served and to take your own drinks.

The room was ready early. Plenty of parking Espa toiletries in the room smelt like a spa Nice and dark when the lights were off. Comfy beds and pillows. Very clean Food was fabulous Great bar setting with lots of seating

It wasn't 100% clear where the entrance was. I didnt think the signage in the car park was clear. We were in a ground floor, disabled friendly room. Shower squealed louder, each time you moved the dial to hot. Also the drain is very close to the toilet so anyone using the loo after a shower gets wet feet. Room was quite cool and we could find a thermostat in the room. Bar drinks are very over priced.

The room was comfortable and well located. We enjoyed the upgrade to the superior twin with balcony.

The room was not well serviced on two occasions. The first time it was not serviced until after 4pm and soap dispenser was not refilled. On the second occasion the beds were not made nor were the coffee, tea etc topped up. The bathroom had been cleaned although again the soap dispenser in the shower was empty.

Beautifully Appointed rooms , lovely atmosphere and incredibly friendly venue.

Spa Area was very dated, cleanliness around the sauna needed more attention to detail. Space for clothing very limited ( unless you put everything on Hangers ) We asked housekeeping for additional Tea and coffee on day 2 ( we didn't need the room servicing so thought it was a good to ask - it didn't arrive ) We left the table in the bar area to take a few calls ( & left Spectacles along with a few other personal objects ) on our return everything had been removed including drinks we hadn't consumed ( we did get back our personal items ) guess you could say the staff were very keen - but it wasn't that busy to warrant the " Hastily " clean up !!
