The Globe Inn is usually my first choice whenever I stay in Tamworth, with it being the best value hotel/ establishment within Tamworth, compared to other properties. Its Location to Tamworth is by far better. The quality of the rooms , the cleanliness and facilities are some of the best and just what a traveller needs. The arrival experience is always simple , the facilities in the bar are just what you need, drinks, a food menu and a nice array of places to sit, and the prices are not above and beyond, the food quality from the bar is satisfactory and hasn't disappointed. The staff within the Globe Inn, have always been professional and clear about how to get to your rooms, and the housekeeping there has always been superb in the standards they clean rooms. The room itself , high ceilings, fairly modern interior, basic, but its just what you need. The bed very comfortable indeed. the room also had double glazing. The bathroom is modern, very clean, well kept but a bit on the small side.

The only negatives I found during my stay and from past encounters, is that the shower is not very powerful and you don't get warm water from it, its pretty much 'luke- warm which isn't beneficial , you may get away with it on a hot day/ evening, but no way during the winter months.. Also no air con in the room, which again would cause problems during the hotter months. The windows seem to be double glazed, but only open about 2/3 inches. ( obviously for safety reasons).

It was excellent location for the Tamworth assembly rooms we stayed 2 nights room only we ate one night in the restaurant food was excellent drinks etc were good and not extortion price would stay again if in the area

The car parking is on a public car park 2 minutes walk away you have to pay 9.30 till 4 pm I did put a ticket on for 4 hours first day and girl behind the bar said she would sort parking out but not sure how it works I never got a parking ticket but maybe it needs to be explained in the booking process Although it was no problem maybe if staying more than 2 nights not sure if it would be expensive

We booked as we attended a family birthday in the Function Room. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of storage if you're staying longer. The bathroom was a decent size with a corner shower, which was good. However, there wasn't any shelving space inside the shower to put your own products. The bed was We paid extra for breakfast the next morning: £10 for a full English breakfast which includes tea/coffee was very good value for money. There are other options available: croissants, toast with eggs, or bacon, sausage sandwiches. Customer service was very good, professional and friendly. The location is brilliant as it's less than a 5 min walk into the main town and there are plenty of other bars and restaurants on the road. We paid less than £80 for a one night stay in April, which is excellent value for money.

Well kitted out, bright, spotlessly clean room. Nice big telly, USB sockets 😀 Comfy bed, great shower with loads of hot water. Bathroom a decent size! I was next to the fire escape so I had my own private morning cuppa balcony when the fire door was open for staff servicing the rooms. Nice peoplewatching view from there of the street out front 😁. Had drinks & supper there both nights - reasonably priced menu, good selection, & quite good food 👍🏼. Large, open bar area, with high ceilings. Housekeeping staff very pleasant & very helpful!!👍🏼.

A bit music-y in the room early evening as it's over the bar but Not unpleasantly so. Quiet by 2300hrs.👍🏼 Canned music on in mornings which makes breakfast talk downstairs rather hard. Should be left off during closed hours. Shower a bitty small but that's just me as I'm short & chubby 🤭. Hotel staircase rather narrow, No Lift, & main doorstep a bit high so deffo Not for the fully disabled.

Iv stayed at the Globe Inn on pretty much all the occasions that I have been to Tamworth, by far its good value for money compared to other establishments within the vicinity of Tamworth centre, but I recommend this place if you do want to save some money. A good price per night, very adequate bar and lounge area, good food,/ drinks at very reasonable prices. The room I was allocated was surprisingly the same one Iv had since I started using the Globe Inn, and its kept the same level of standards , bed was very comfy , and cleaning standards of a high level. A adequate bathroom has got pretty much all you need, but rather on the small side. The staff have always been nice, friendly and enjoy working there, compared to other places iv stayed in. Very pleasant indeed.

The only slight issues was that during my stay they were in the process of replacing windows and frames in empty rooms.. which is a good move , and I think will up the experience for guests , as it gets very noisy and disturbing from sound of traffic and revellers using the nearby pubs on a friday/ Saturday night. Having bringing my own toiletries in the shower they could do with a small shelf in there to put your own shampoo/ body wash etc. Also i didn't notice air conditioning in the room so it would get very uncomfortable during a heatwave id imagine

The hotel is in a perfect location close to the rail station and to the Assembly Rooms if one wants to see a show. The room was spacious and clean and the staff helpful. Breakfast is good and with plenty of choice. The bed was comfortable and considering how cold the weather was at the time the room was very well heated. The rooms are above a pub so one can hear music and voices in the evening but after 23:00 it was nice and quiet.

The only minor thing was that there is a very bright parking light outside the window of room 7 so if one is a fussy sleeper they might prefer a different room. The dark curtains mitigate the brightness but it's still quite strong.

Central. Easy walk from train station.

Given the smallest single room. Window opened onto the fire escape. Two air conditioners whirred away all night by the window - used in other parts of the Globe Inn. Hot weekend so no air in the room. Single female traveller so didn’t feel comfortable leaving the window open all night as access to the room from the fire escape was easily doable! (Saw into other rooms when they were being cleaned in the mornings - cooler air flow from open windows = lovely!)

Excellent location. Easily walkable from train station and very close to town Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced Bar in evening was well lit (I’m visually impaired so that was invaluable) and both staff and customers were so friendly Evening meal was great and reasonably priced Room was ideal. Comfortable bed powerful shower and perfectly clean Only disappointment was no outdoor seating on such a warm weekend but if there had been I don’t think we’d have wanted to leave !!!

The location was perfect right near the town centre. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the food was lovely plus all freshly cooked.

The noise from outside the accommodation if you had the window open, which we had to as the rooms was so warm Two of our group decided to stay in the bar area while we went to the shops, and they are both disabled. One of the staff questioned them to why they were waiting and had they checked out (which we all did before 11), and they were only waiting an hour for us. This made them feel uncomfortable even though there were two other guests sitting in the bar area.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very good, clean, well equipped and cared for. The location was good. Very convenient for the shops etc.

Because of its location, in the centre of town, there was a great deal of noise, well into the early hours of the morning. Not from the pub but from the streets outside. If you live in this kind of location, it may not be an issue but we are from a quiet, countryside area and found this to be a problem.
