Clean, cheap and easy to get to. We just needed a place to sleep whilst attending a local event and this was perfect. Didn’t spend much time anywhere else in the hotel. Despite our room being located right near the loud bar, the room was very well soundproofed and we were easily able to fall asleep with just a bit of background noise.

Our room had poor ventilation, the only option was a window right near the access driveway which we didn’t feel comfortable leaving open. As such our room ended up smelling pretty bad whilst we were out. Also never got any fresh towels which added to the issue.

I know the area quite well. This hotel is part of a lovely, popular local pub. Car parking isn't a problem, maybe a bit busier at weekends. There is a Tesco Express literally a minutes' walk away with a cash point. 5-6 minute drive into the town centre. 8-10 minute drive to Junction 10 M42. Guests have the use of tea and coffee facilities which are located in the room with the Pool Table. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I thought the ceiling light in my room wasn't working; using the switch on the wall was not turning the light on, reported this to the member of staff and she came and had a look immediately. Turns out, you needed to use the light switches by the headboard of the bed which I thought controlled the bedside lamps!! Compact room with soft double bed. Shower was lovely and powerful (I was on the ground floor room 6). Decent sized wall mounted TV. New digitally controlled radiator that had been installed warmed up very quickly. Dressing table and bed side table in the room, both with ample sockets (I have stayed in one hotel where there was just one plug socket before, not a biggie, but if you're charging or using multiple devices and wanting to blow dry your hair or iron your clothes, it's an inconvenience). Niche with a rail and shelf to hang/store your clothes. Soft clean carpet in the room. Room felt light and airy, as painted white, white bed linen and a window that looked out onto the car park. Pillows were a bit flimsy, if you're used to firm neck support, might be worth bringing your own. Towels provided were soft and clean.

Walls are very thin, I could hear word for word the TV programme that the person in the next room had on, and the TV wasn't on overly loud at all, so don't expect your conversations or calls to be private! To be clear, the guest didn't have the TV on at an ungodly hour. I think the hotel may have had an engineer booked in for maintenance though as at 8.03 am, intermittent drilling started what felt like in the room nearby Checkout is at 10am. Obviously I don't know what availability that engineer had, but I would've thought the best practice would've been for the drilling to start after guests had checked out.

Really friendly, helpful staff and the rooms were clean, tidy. The beds were really comfortable, lovely shower. It was a bonus to have free tea/coffee in a quiet room away from the bar (the bar was really lovely but one of my children prefers a quiet area so was perfect to access that extra room).

I should have asked about the storage heaters as I didn’t know how to use them. We arrived late so we just wanted to get to sleep so no major problem for us.

Arrived with my 10 year old daughter after a long day at Drayton Manor, pub was decorated lovely for the Euros, lovely balloon display etc..pub had a fantastic atmosphere, I immediately felt comfortable, check in was easy, my room was lovely, clean and comfortable, the landlady Laura and her team were friendly and chatty, cute dog too, that my daughter loved! I would definitely come back here next time I'm in the area, easy to park, and mini Tesco next door, Thanks for a great stay.

It's a very friendly place you feel welcome as soon you walk into the place you get given plenty of information the bedrooms are fresh clean and comfortable would recommend this to anyone looking for a quite area not far from town centre most nights entertainment on in pub area

I had a car so I could move easily for my needs. Nevertheless I had my client'/workplace within walking distance. I did not have a chance to try anything from the menu but it looked appealing. The water was good temperature and pressure in the shower. .

I had my own kettle to use as I've read the previous comments about the place. I can't complain about other things

Ideal place to get to, I found it very easily. Staff lovely and place was very clean. Adequate for my needs Also rooms on ground floor so for me, this was perfect as mobility issues. I didn't have the food but breakfast looked lovely

Only thing I wasn't keen on was having to go to the bar to make hot drinks. Tea and coffee is plentiful, and free. My thing was that I had to keep putting on suitable clothes instead of lounging in my nightie.

We are frequent stayers at the Liberty. The rooms are clean, tidy and has a vibrant very friendly pub downstairs. You do not hear the pub from your room The breakfast is optional extra at a bargain price and is cooked to order :)

My only minor (very minor) thing I would prefer mattress covers on the mattresses. Having said that the mattresses are spotless

I was staying for Bloodstock music festival and the location was excellent, only a 20 minute drive each way. Ample parking, staff very helpful, room nice and clean. Keep in mind it’s a pub with noise to be expected so make sure to take earplugs to ensure a good night’s sleep!

The value for money was great. I arrived at a busy pub on a Karaoke night Sunday. The internet wasn’t working at first to check us in, so was given a free drink whilst I waited. Which resulted in the lovely locals being sociable and I ended up having one of my favourite nights. Can’t wait to go back.
