I didn't get the names of the lads on reception and at the bar during the night - but all of them were absolutely superb. Informative and also great banter. Staff tending to everything in the morning were also absolutely lovely. Never ever had an issue with any of the staff here. First time I've stayed for breakfast though - got my money's worth. Tasty food, decent variety.

Room was proper roasting. Thankfully there was a fan there, but took a long time to cool everything down. I'm just typing some extra words here because I have to fill the bar and booking.com will let me submit.

We were attending a family event being held in the hotel, so the location was perfect with on-site parking. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Rooms clean and warn. Excellent Sunday lunch.

I was disappointed in the breakfast buffet choice of cereals, fresh and dried fruit, etc, but the people having full English breakfast were very happy! We knew at the time of booking that our room would be small with a double bed, but we would have liked the option to book a bigger room with a king-sized bed. That said, the room was clean, warm, comfortable, and well appointed.

We were in the annexe which meant going out of the hotel into another building up the street. Lots of stairs which you are not warned about. Fine for us but we had elderly relatives with us who did struggle somewhat. The room could have been cleaner - the blinds on the window were covered in a drink or something similar, the grouting in the shower was mouldy and the bin had food or drink spills down the front. The electric shower was a bit pathetic as poor pressure made it dribble out. Not much of a car park for such a large hotel. All that being said, we got what we paid for and it was only for an overnight stay.

The breakfast was nicely cooked and presented with an adequate choice. The staff were very helpful and this was our second visit in a few days and it was remembered that we wanted decaffeinated tea so it was in our room and at breakfast.

The room was very cold when we arrived so we had to turn on the radiator and find the electric fire in the wardrobe to heat it up. When the room is made ready for a guest the radiator should be turned on automatically so it is warm on arrival. On one of the outer doors to the hotel the return spring had failed so unless people made an effort to fully close the door it stayed open causing a draught letting out the warmed air.

Room was excellent value for money. Have to mention staff member Nathan who was very attentive and knowledgeable about the slippers on the wall in the breakfast room. Also, the young man who covered breakfast service this morning (Saturday 03.08.2024). He was 100% better than the young lady from Friday, who didn't seem to be bothered.

It's a lovely place to stay, the only things I would change is more sockets in the rooms, more than one bin and finishing touches, such as top missing from cold tap, no cover on back of remote control,,,just being picky! I think the breakfast is a little overpriced. it was lovely, but for that price maybe there could be a bit more choice.

Super friendly staff. We where in a rush to go to a baptism and for the first time in my life I left the room a mess. When I came back everything was spotless and all of our clothes where nicely folded on the bed. I was shocked, and a little bit embarrassed that someone had to clean after me. Thank you, whoever cleaned our room, you are an angel 😇

Not enough parking spaces, there was an event that night and all the parking spaces where taken. Because it was a busy street it was very noisy at night time.

The only issue we had was we were there on the hottest weekend so far this year and the small window couldn’t cool the room and there was no fan. An unusual problem in the UK but we couldn’t sleep because it was so hot. Should they provide fans for such a rare occurrence?, probably not but an honest review this is.

easy to find and get too, very friendly and welcoming staff. nothing is too much trouble, even when I got confused and forgot the directions to the annex building.

stayed here twice, room I had on first booking had thin blind/curtain so very bright in the morning, second stay had thicker curtains, personal preference I prefer a very dark room / thick black out curtains. nothing against the hotel at all, very good value for money

I loved the history. Three manager explained some of it. It was fascinating to see all the different parts of the hotel. The food was great, especially the Sunday lunch and even more so, the profiterole sundae - that was amazing! The staff were all very polite and helpful. Price wise, it’s as you would expect, not over or underpriced, just about right. The room, whilst being slightly small, was perfectly adequate for us and our stay. Parking was a bit limited, but was extremely easy to get to. If I come to Atherstone again, this is definitely where I’ll be staying.

Not much. The pillows weren’t the greatest, but that’s more of a personally difficulty with sleeping rather than the hotel.

The room and staff were good.

Car parking. The hotel car park was full had to drive round to find overnight parking. After a busy day at Drayton manor . This was not expected. In the morning it was pouring with rain .we had to drag our luggage and walk to the car. I realise this is not the fault of the hotel
