The location was excellent, just a short walk from the city centre, shops, and restaurants. My room was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully decorated with touches that reflected the building’s history as a former newspaper office. The bathroom was bright and comfortable, and I appreciated the Nespresso machine, fridge, and large desk with a mirror. The AC worked perfectly, and having water coolers on every floor for reusable bottles was a brilliant idea. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good selection leaning toward English breakfast. The staff — from reception to the restaurant and cleaning team — were consistently kind and welcoming, which made my stay even better.

Nothing — everything met or exceeded expectations.

This hotel (telegraph hotel coventry) is an absolute gem! The staff are really helpful and greeted us with a smile (when we arrived, when we had breakfast and when we left). Also great communication on the chat too from the staff and always responsive. If you are into your hotels I would say this is on a par with a modern Novotel in terms of style and comfort. It was quiet, comfy, clean, great shower (with a removable head too as well as a rainshower). White company products in the bathroom, a fridge, a kettle, lots of mirrors, plugs in useful areas of the room (near the bed and near the mirrors to get ready!), air conditioning. The designers of this hotel have thought of everything and you will not be disappointed. I felt super clean in the room. I am very impressed. The breakfast was also amazing and they provided alternative milks. Also loved the history to the building the hotel is in too. A shopping centre near by too with really good highstreet shops. Cannot complain about anything. It was great. A fab stay. Will be back soon! Just to note there isn't parking at the hotel but there is an NCP near by which was reasonably priced and not far. It was actually quite nice to walk across the precinct to the car after our stay and soak up a bit of sunshine and grab some snacks from the newsagents too. Fab stay. Thank you to the staff (including the friendly cleaning staff who greeted me with a smile this morning). Many thanks

The design of the hotel Newly renovated

Cleaness - The floor in the room, especially in the bathroom was not proper cleaned. In the corners the dirt was very visible and found even a hair pin - probably from the other persons acomodated before us in that room. Same applies for the shower floor - was yellowish instead of white. Cold temperature - It was cold almost everywhere in the hotel, especially in the lobby and reception area, where we froze while having some drinks. The breakfast could have more fresh vegetables, fruits and diary options. Pastries and eggs were added with limit - had to wait minutes until the staff brought another tray with eggs. No more pastries were added even if we came pretty early for breakfast.

Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very spacious, modern and comfortable and everything was pristine. We had everything we needed! Breakfast was great, a standard general buffet but other things could be ordered from a menu. The vegan sausages were delicious! A very pleasant stay!

During our stay the weather was quite hot, with temperatures of 30 degrees. The hotel has A/C, which is great, but we feel it was on excessively high and it was really cold inside! We actually needed a jacket to eat breakfast! The hotel seems committed to lowering its carbon footprint so perhaps setting the A/C to a more reasonable 21 - 23 degrees would be better, and more comfortable for the guests!

Large rooms. Nicely designed. Well decorated.

Reception staff on arrival. No knowledge whatsoever of the parking in the area… with the excuse that she didn’t drive?! You are front of house… it’s your job to know!! It must be the question you are asked most frequently, given that the hotel has no car park and the majority of visitors arrive by car. It shows complete lack of interest in one’s job… and that comes across to the guests. If it were my job, I’d familiarise myself with all car parks in the surrounding area, their operating hours and costs. And management… why have you not printed out this information and stuck it on the front desk for those employees who can’t be bothered to educate themselves?

Fantastic Overnight Stay – Highly Recommend! I recently stayed overnight at the Telegraph Hotel in Coventry and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of breakfast options to suit all tastes – a real highlight of the visit. I was genuinely impressed with the quality and attention to detail throughout the hotel. The atmosphere was welcoming and stylish, making it a great place to relax. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Coventry!

Minor Disappointment – Rooftop Bar Closed The only downside to our stay was that the rooftop bar wasn’t open due to ongoing renovations. Although we were told we could take our drinks up from the downstairs bar and still enjoy the rooftop space, it was due to close soon and we didn’t want to rush our meal. It’s a shame, as it would have been a lovely way to end the evening. Hopefully next time the rooftop bar will be fully open or perhaps have a slightly later closing time.

Great location, great breakfast and staff were super friendly, professional and helpful. They run a very good ship, all staff were lovely from housekeeping, reception and waiting on staff. I also left my phone charger behind and rang them when I got l home, housekeeping had handed it in and the member of staff on phone has arranged ro have it posted back to me with a small charge on.my catf just to cover the postage, it was no trouble at all to them and they were happy to help. What a great team, well done Telegraph Coventry toy are a credit to your profession. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying for leisure or business.

Couldn't fault it

I liked the fact that the Telegraph is an historical conversion and this is represented in the interior design of the entire hotel. So, the building has a narrative, which you can feel when you stay there as a guest. Staff were very helpful and personable and the rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable. The room I was staying in was also very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable so I slept very well, even though we were in the heart of the city. Breakfast was good, and I also enjoyed the evening meal I had there one night. As a solo traveller it was a very comfortable experience staying there and I'd recommend this hotel unreservedly.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Stylish, very comfortable, friendly hotel. All staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, well laid out, and very comfortable . A super shower and spacious bathroom and a comfortable bed . Nice to have reading material in the room relating to the 50s and 60s period. The decor was very stylish and period appropriate. As old Coventrians who moved away, it was lovely to see the repurposed Telegraph building presented in such a stylish way with original features retained. Loved the handrails, use of wood and metal and the fabulous furniture. The different zones for eating were effective, allowing for sociable gathering and also for couples to enjoy a quieter eating experience. A good bar menu and wide breakfast choice. Barman Adam was very professional, helpful and friendly. Our room was always well maintained and cleaned thoroughly.

Everything on offer at breakfast was splendidly prepared, though the range was perhaps a little restricted in comparison to some. The room and public areas were simply wonderful. They were spotlessly presented, very comfortable and hugely tasteful and stylish. As an old man who remembers the 1950s, and the "Coventry Evening Telegraph", I felt instantly at home. The retro Roberts radio, for instance was a brilliant idea! But the carpets and furniture in general just "did it" for me. All the staff to whom I spoke were delightful. They looked and acted their part to perfection.

As a life-long vegetarian, I did feel slightly disappointed with the dinner menu, although I freely admit that I was able to order from it...
