the breakfast offer was excellent and the staff so helpful, evening meals were tasty and well served. The evening specials offer could have been larger. The dining area is dark a feature of an old building but we did eat out in the courtyard which was delightful. I noted there were drawing sheets and colour pencils for the children which were well used. The staff in the bar and dining area were young but so helpful and attentive

The confusion about having a ground floor bedroom although I did have confirmation that that had been arranged. It was resolved by the hotel receptionist when need explained.

Staff overall were helpful and friendly. Plenty of free parking. Breakfast had a good menu with a good choice of dishes, and your order for your hot food is taken and cooked for you. - far better than a tepid buffet. The food was good, and included in the room rate. I have stayed at this hotel before, and this stay was better than the previous one. I did not eat other meals at the hotel, but once again the menu looked a good menu, with good choice of dishes.

This is hotel in an older building with lots of odd steps on the ground floor, and even in the bedroom (room 26) itself. I am an older guy with some mobility problems, and found getting around a bit tricky at times. There is no mobile phone signal inside the building, and getting on to the hotel website is not straightforward. The staff will always assist, but in this day and age there are lots of items available to assist you in gaining access to Broad-Band etc, and investing in a little inexpensive equipment to do so, would be much easier than what you have to do at present. The other issue is the interior decor. The en-suite bathroom was generally OK, but the wallpaper in the rooms and corridors was rather grim, and bashed around at best. This needs urgent attention.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable—spacious for a standard option—with a decent-sized TV and the usual tea and coffee facilities. Heating was straightforward to use, which made settling in easy. The shower wasn’t particularly powerful, but it was simple to operate and reached a good temperature quickly, so no real complaints there. For a budget hotel, this surpassed my expectations. It offered more than you'd typically get from a Travelodge or Premier Inn at a similar—or even slightly lower—price point, especially with the added benefit of a pleasant bar and restaurant on-site.

The location is slightly remote, but this was known when booking, so I can't fault the hotel for that.

We stayed here for 2 nights when visiting the area for a family event and a large free car park made things easier when we arrived. We received a lovely warm welcome from Jason, the manager. Our room was attractively decorated with plenty of space for our things and the bathroom was spotless. Free WiFi and a large screen TV added to our comfort. We enjoyed two evening meals in the restaurant and both were delicious. The cooked breakfasts were also delicious with perfectly cooked eggs served on yummy sourdough toast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which was made more special by the excellent, professional and friendly staff. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and they all seemed to be happy in their work, which was a pleasure to see. Thank you Jason, Zane, Sam, Molly and everyone whose name we didn't discover but who made our stay so enjoyable. We would not hesitate to recommend your hotel to anyone.

Nothing worth mentioning.

Room was perfect and bed very comfortable. Shower a bit antiquated but it did its job. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was ok but my steak was grisly but it was swapped when they asked me how it was - so very accommodating. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places, and we had a lovely evening, catching up with an old friend. Staff are really friendly - all of them -which was very refreshing and so helpful too. Lovely people.

There was some black mold in the bathroom which I really don't like. A bit of dettol mold and mildew remover would zap that and look so much better

The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Evening meal was lovely. The setting it’s self was Christmassy and romantic

The heating was on full when we arrived at the room which we found too much so it was extremely hot all night even once we’d turned the radiator off. The breakfast took a long time to come out and was cold when it arrived due to been on a time scale we didn’t complain about this.

Comfy bed. Clean room. Friendly staff.

I had breakfast included. I ordered the full English! Bacon= cold Sausage= warm Beans = cold Toast = cold Mushrooms were cold and not much bigger than a pea x4 Sent it back waited 10 mins. New breakfast only thing hot was the sausage. Did not eat it staff refunded me the breakfast cost. Only thing that let it down.

As it was the lowest priced place in the area I was a tad sceptical about it. However it exceeded all my expectations. The staff were wonderfully pleasant and welcoming. The room was spotless and comfy. The restaurant had a good menu with a nice wide selection of food and drink. It was well staffed and clean.

I personally try to avoid giving my personal details to companies if I can avoid it, because they sell it on. The WiFi is with Sky and they wanted a bit too much info. So I didn't use it. However this is not a problem for most people.

Had a lovely overnight stay x manager and staff were over and beyond helpful and really friendly quite a rarity these days x rooms were spacious and clean x continental breakfast was fresh and tasty . Lots of parking

The bedroom was really stuffy and for safety windows didn't open very wide . Could do with a ceiling fan or air con x Breakfast could do with a selection of cheeses 🧀 x

The room was just for one person, but it was still a decent size, the bed was a small double rather than a single which was good. The room had everything I expected and needed. It was clean, it was cleaned whilst I stayed there which a lot of places don't these days. I didn't feel cramped in any way. Had one cooked breakfast which was very nice tasty. Staff were friendly. I enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable.

I did have squeaky floorboards and wondered if I was disturbing anyone below me walking around. Hope not!
