2 night stay without meals. Typical chain hotel room; perfectly good for a short stay. Room size good but not huge. Clean and decor in good fettle. No issues for the price (I did get a good 'Genius' discount). Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Excellent communal lounge (restaurant & big lobby-lounge not used). Situated just off Motorway with major roads in for all directions. Not a 'holiday/tourist' location but with transport easy to get to interesting places.

All good, for expectations

The staff were all really friendly and happy to help. They arranged early check in for us and then there was an issue with the restaurant and a staff member really kindly offered to make sandwiches and chips if we needed to eat. They also pointed us in the direction of the local McDonalds (which is really conveniently close by), for if we needed more food. The staff were a lovely team. The room was tidy and clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and I loved that you could personalise the cooked breakfast items. A really good stay - thank you

I don't have any criticisms for our stay. It would have been nice if the restaurant were open in the evening, but I think this was due to unforeseen circumstances and not a regular occurrence. The staff were very apologetic for the situation and happy to help.

The room was surprisingly spacious, and lovely and clean. We had no trouble checking in and we had ordered early check-in too. Staff were super friendly and courteous at all times, everyone seemed to be really happy there. We didn't use the shower so can't comment on that, but were pleasantly surprised to find the room had a bath tub. Good temperature in the room, easy to navigate, ample parking. Breakfast was decent and kept us going for most of the day. Overall, really pleased with our stay!

It is really hard to fault our stay, but the only things that we felt we missed were that there were no biscuits with the complementary tea and coffee in the room, and there are no electric car charging stations at the hotel. That being said, there are some Instavolt chargers just around the corner at McDonald's. The soap is also quite harsh, so for sensitive skin users it may be better to bring your own soaps.

Lovely hotel, presented well from moment you enter, staff super friendly, room nice and clean with modern facilities, iron, hairdryer all available in the room. Free upgrade for birthday stay, which was a lovely surprise. Evening meal was delicious. Bed was comfortable and pillows where nice and plump. Good value for money, especially considering we stayed during crufts weekend and other hotels where charging outrageous prices! Overall a great stay and would most definitely rebook when next in the area!

Was a bit warm in the room through the night, was ground floor so didn’t want to leave window open (didn’t request a fan, so this may of been a possibility) Can hear people above you moving around slightly, imagine it would be a bit of a pain if those above you were late coming back.

The staff where very helpful and really understanding for my dog. Which made him feel very comfortable and we both felt very welcome. Booked to stay again later in the year. The staff are all so friendly it's really makes your stay.

The 1st 2 days the kennels across the road with 24 hour barking of 10/15 stressed dogs we could here in our room and it wasn't nice. But staff were lovely about it.

Staff were absolutely lovely, to both of us and our dog. Really a great welcome and exit too. I put a request in to ask if we could have ground floor, mainly because our dog can sometimes have trouble with stairs after a day of adventuring and they did that no problem. It was only a short walk from the room to the lovely courtyard with grass for bedtime wees and there were loads of grass areas elsewhere too. Shower was super strong and super hot! Hairdryer in the room, so that's handy.

Lacking plugs in the room, namely none by the bed/beside cubbies. Whoever was in the room above us managed to make their floor/our ceiling loudly crack as they were walking around and we could hear their toilet system refilling repeatedly - at 1.30am. They were then moving around again with more cracking from around 6am. Shower floods floor as shower curtain isn't good enough.

This was our second family stay at this hotel this year ideal location off the M42. We visited Conkers so near to this and this time the Halloween Farm. Also not far from Ashby de la Zouch which is a nice town with nice restaurants. All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. We liked the fact that you could select what you had for cooked breakfast and was nice and hot, unlike buffet style which is often luke warm! The location of the hotel just off the M42 makes it a great base for visiting Conkers, the National Forest and other local attractions. We only had breakfast and drinks at the hotel so can't comment on the food but looked an extensive menu and reasonably priced if you didn't want to drive anywhere to eat. The location of the hotel means that there are no restaurants within walking distance apart from a McDonald's at the local services but across a busy road. Ashby De La Zouch is about a ten minute drive from the hotel which we liked. If you want a hotel close to M42 to rest your head after a busy day out visiting local attractions then this hotel is perfect. If we were to visit Conkers or any other local family attraction again in the future, we wouldn't hesitate in staying here again!

Nothing

We like to travel with our three dogs and we found the facilities for them exceptional. Having an enclosed courtyard close by enabled us to let the dogs out early in the morning and last thing at night without having to pace the streets. Also, we loved the ability to have the dogs with us whilst eating our meals in the dining area. That was certainly a bonus. Will certainly use The Best Western again.

We were very pleased with whole experience. I cannot improve on what we experienced.

Warm welcome by a very happy gentleman. So we had a very good initial experience. Room was excellent at this price point and being just off the motorway was surprisingly quite. We were encouraged to come down to dinner and pleased that we did as it turn out to be very good value for the quality. The same gentleman we initially met at reception made life very easy for us tired travellers with his personal recommendations on the menu and even took time to talk us through the beers on offer. I did feel sorry for the chef we arrived to an empty dinning room at 8pm and just as the food offering closes at 9pm a large group arrived and a number of couples all at once. Everyone praised the pizza's.

The room had no air conditioning and the supplied fan was very noisy. I guess in the Summer it has the potential to be far too hot and stuffy. Also why cut the law before 9am on a Saturday morning?

Room was a good size. Lovely walk-in shower. Comfy bed. Nice sized tv. Reasonable selection of teas/coffees in the room. Garden area to sit in. Food available morning & evening. Handy location off a by-pass. Staff were all very friendly & helpful & nothing seemed too much trouble

Garden area needed a little bit of TLC. Although a handy location there was a constant hum of traffic. We're used to quieter locations so it took a bit of getting used to. Entrance could be better signed. Thankfully they did message to say it's exact location as could easily be missed - as our taxi driver did! One other thing was it needed more electrical sockets. We kept having to unplug the tv & kettle if we wanted to charge anything or iron.
