Used as break of long journey Berwick to Bournemouth. This was half way. Once in immediate area , hotel was very well signposted. Excellent size car park. Room facilities excellent. Spotlessly clean. Fairly close to some pubs and restaurants.

Building had little character. Felt like three long rectangular boxes sandwiched together, the middle one having an enormous glass house type roof containing many lounge tables and chairs, also housing a small breakfast room and bar. I imagine this is a useful travelling business persons stopover with good transport links.

The service I received at the Hermitage was simply the best I've ever had at a hotel. The lady on reception that took my call about a late check in, was so friendly and reasuring, especially as I was trying to organise an arrival past midnight, due to my work. I actually ended up calling her twice, and I had such a good experience with her on the phone that I was completely reassured. Then when I actuially arrived at about 12.40am, after a long drive, I imagined the night receptionist not even being there, despite her reassurance he would be, but low and behold, he was just as friendly as the lady on the phone, and knew all about my late arrival situation. I was honestly so impressed, especially having come from a job in Birmingham that evening, where I was so disappointed by the service I had received at the event I was at. I never usually write these kind of reviews, but I was compelled to after those great interactions I had with the staff. The room was fine, a little cold as the window didn't shut properly, and it was pretty basic, but for me, when the service is that good, and you feel like the employees care about your stay, little things that aren't quite right don't matter at all.

I left my small backpack in the communal area . I was distracted trying to get internet connection so that Sat nav would work. I discovered I didn't have it at a service station . I panicked as it has vital medication. I don't let it out of.my sight. Thanks to the staff who saw it and who.kept it safe for me until I returned to collect it 4-5 hours later. I can't say how relieved I was. Thankyou very much.

Pretty good facilities; basic, but did the job well. Quiet location, but not far from a Morrisons in one direction and town centre in the other. Comfy bed.

Walls are a bit thin. I came back from a night out at 2am and didn’t feel comfortable using the shower until the morning, as I felt that the people next door to me would hear it. A bit expensive for what it is.

This was a clean tidy & not very big hotel. Had to mark down on facilities as website said there was a restaurant, This was not open & according to people we spoke to the restaurant had not been open for a while. The breakfast was very good & plentiful & the staff were very nice & helpful. Happy with the hotel for what we paid

The hotel advertised a restaurant on its website but it wasn't open in the evenings & hadn't been for a while. Shame this wasnt mentioned on the website.

The breakfast was excellent, especially the cooked food, plus plenty of choice on the continental side. The bedroom was very clean and the bed was really comfortable, also the pillows were so soft but supportive. There was everything in the room to meet all my needs. The location was ultra quiet and I slept really well.

For myself personally I cannot fault it.

Location was good and overlooking the bowling lawns in the centre of town was good -- so quiet. All very clean and the cooked breakfast was excellent -- one of the best I have had.

In places the accommodation was a little tired but was still kept nice and clean

Stayed here a couple of times, very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Very comfortable beds and a welcome relief from camping.

Nothing but compared to some places, some may say the decor and finish aren’t modern or high quality. Personally, if it is clean and comfortable (which it is) I don’t care how modern etc it is

It was a great location for where I needed to be for work. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed for my overnight stay. The staff were friendly, and I really enjoyed the breakfast.

I had a bit of trouble getting in the room with the key card, but with a little help from a member of staff, all was well in the end.

We always book here when we visit Coalville because of accessible location to where our friends lived

On our recent stay ,It’s not cleaned properly,smells of cigarette as we arrived ie beddings,tv remote control,side table etc,dust in the carpet. The heating was switched off on our first morning but rectified on our 2nd morning as we did complain
