Stayed at the Falcon for 5 years plus for racing at Donnington Park. Always a warm welcome and excellent service. New owners are really trying hard, and it is as good as ever. Staff were as attentive as ever & food was very good, no complaints.

When we arrived, we were given keys to our room only to open the door to find another couple asleep on the bed!! Obviously, it's a bit of a mix-up, got another room, which was like a sauna, but the manager put 2 x fans in our room, which made it absolutely fantastic to sleep. The manager was so apologetic and gave us a voucher, which I think was above and behond and very much appreciated. Absolutely no complaints about staff, food or service, Top notch all around, Thank You to all at the Falcon👍👍

The room was newly refurbished and was lovely. Very comfortable bed, tea, and coffee, including a coffee machine and homemade biscuits. Nice shower, and nice large towels. We had an evening meal which was very tasty, good quality, not cheap but delicious. Staff friendly. Breakfast was also good, included in the room rate, which was the small breakfast. Great, that check out and breakfast was 11 am very relaxed. The pub has a lovely outside seating area.

Room needed a mirror in the bedroom, and a fan is needed for the room, as the room was very hot, and was a very sticky night for sleeping.

We booked the place to attend the Download festival nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation! It was very cozy and English countryside style. We had breakfast and it was delicious, I am a French toast lover and so far it was the best French toast I've ever had. The full English breakfast was also delicious and big portions. The room was nice overlooking a lovely field and, for some it might be nothing but we love the countryside vibes and love overlooking the surrounding land. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big with a very big bath as well, as we were injured, it was east to shower there. If we will ever be around again we will definitely come back, even to sit in the lovely outdoor area having a cold drink. Last mention to the staff, smiling and welcoming, always ready to help and even if they were busy they still took time to chat to us and we appreciated their hard work.

The only thing ( it did not impact our stay) it would be better to add a mattress protector in the beds, as sheet came out and the mattress was exposed, we bought agreed that it would be better to have a proper mattress protector, however it didn't impact our stay and we slept well

Refurbed room fancy but not sure it’s worth the latest increase in price. Nespresso machine nice addition and comfy, clean room.

Decor very smart but side tables so far from bed they don’t function as you have to actually get out of bed to use them. Very hot with no fan in room. Also only the room only option to book now so have to pay for breakfast separately which I didn’t. Such a shame the tables on the grass outside have been relocated to a plastic grass effect area.

Staff warmly welcoming and helpful. Peaceful countryside location which means quieter nights. Mini cottage feel in the room with the low small windows. Wonderful to be able to bring my pet, bed super comfortable, high quality beddings. Lovely coffe/tea/choolate drinks station with kettle etc. Plenty of hot water, clean towels, complimentary soaps etc… hair dryer, iron / ironing board, generous choice of breakfast included in the price. Mini fridge in the room which was also perfect to keep my pet’s food fresh!

Unsightly stain above the bath on side ceiling only discovered when lying in the bath and looking up. The toilet flush whistles and runs noisily when filling back up again. Had to fiddle with it so the dripping noise wouldn’t keep us awake. I regretted not having brought my eye mask because the room’s fire exit door has a green sign’s light above which stays on 24/7, so it’s never completely dark.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the pub when I went for dinner. I highly recommend the Falcon Pub for it's warm welcome, tasty, good value food food, well kept beers (Everards) and excellent staff.

The accommodation (Room 9) needs some attention. It was clean and tidy but there was insufficient lighting, the mattress was a bit tired, there were no bedside lights or a light switch within reach of the bed. Although everything worked as it should the bathroom is ready for a refit. It's a small detail but the bath needs a better shower curtain, which is too long resulting in excess fabric accumulating in the bottom of the bath and getting in the way.

Breakfast was amazing, staff was absolutely lovely, I loved the hot chocolate option for the room kettle, the bath was great, the bed was fantastic, the location and building were gorgeous, the parking was very easy, the outdoor area looked gorgeous with the lights and wood

Unexpected groundfloor room with huge windows - while stunning, it wasn't clear to me from the booking that this would be the case (might be my fault if I didn't read it properly). As a female solo traveler leaving a bar/restaurant in the dark, I felt a bit uneasy and exposed. There were curtains, but they didn't close perfectly. There was some mold on the bath curtain.

The Falcon Inn nestled in the village of Long Whatton was a gem of a place to stay. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was superbly finished, very comfy bed and lovely walk-in shower. The atmosphere in the pub was friendly and relaxed. The shepherd’s pie made with the local organic lamb was absolutely delicious. The attentive and friendly staff and food at Breakfast the next morning was a great start to the day. It was an overnight stop but we would have willingly stayed longer!

Everything was spot on!

Max was helpful regarding the restaurant closing at 6pm, he asked the chef if they could extend the hours but it was not possible. He phoned other restaurants in the area to try and get us a later booking, he also give us information on takeaways. I emailed The Falcon when I made my booking to try and reserve a particular room on the first floor, this was actioned. Thanks for a lovely stay and Happy New Year

Having not stayed here on a Sunday evening we didn't realise the restaurant closed at 6pm. We rang to make a booking for 7.30pm and was advised then on our drive up.

The room we stayed in was very nice. It had patio doors that opened right out to let in the sun. The bed was comfy and big, we had a fridge, a dressing table, lovely hot water, table and chairs, TV, iron and ironing board, biscuits, tea, coffee etc... nothing was left out or forgotten. The food in the restaurant was second to none - absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection with plenty of choices for breakfast. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. All in all, we had a great time and we were looked after extremely well. We definitely would stay again. Did I say the staff were brilliant...? Loved it all - thank you!
