Wow what a place,this place is even better then it looks online,the room was lovely and clean and the food there was fantastic best food I'd eaten in any hotel hands down,the leisure facilities were great and the staff were always helpful and polite, when I'm up north again this is gonna be our go to,you won't be disappointed with your stay there and I think the place is great value for money and deffo opt for the breakfast there's so much choice and deffo the best breakfast I've had 🫶🏻 thankyou for making us feel welcome

Beautiful grounds, lovely and clean throughout, rooms spacious beds comfy. Helpful to have fans in the room. We travelled as a family across 7 rooms, the pet rooms had treats and bowls set up for pets and the family rooms had treats for the children. The games room was an added bonus as was the tennis court. It was a shame the pool had such limited access for children but was great on the occasion we did get to use it. Breakfast was wonderful and varied catering for everyone. The staff were polite friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It was located ideally for trips around the peaks.

Pillows could be better but I guess that’s a personal choice. More access across weekends for families to use the pool.

Lovely location, away from the busy city. The receptionist at the front desk was welcoming, friendly and respectful. I think her name was Sander. She had a lovely smile and served us well. Loved the surrounding environment of well kept gardens and trees. Our room was at a quiet location which we asked for. The restaurant food choices were great at breakfast time. The property was clean and well kept. The restaurant staff were observant and security conscious, when I left my bag on a chair during breakfast, they took my bag to the reception for safe keeping.

Our room toilet needed several flushes as system seemed old. There was no fridge to store our drinks and medicine. Our room had a musty smell which you notice when you first open the door to go in. The radiators were not working but we were given a heater when we asked for it. Could do with air conditioning units to regulate temperature. Could do with a refurbished lift. The hot drinks dispensers were slow to cope with the high demand for coffee, had to queue for some time for a drink whilst my food was getting cold.

Beautiful location. We walked the grounds, saw some wildlife and the oldest of trees and plenty of robins. Lovely and peaceful. The main property dates back to 1800s with further builds through the years. It is beautifully furnished and very well presented in the reception areas and throughout. Details a plenty. With courtyard seating and each table location having a blanket provided when the evenings turn cooler was a lovely detail. The rooms are excellent. Modern, comfortable and cool palettes with pictures denoting the history of the area. DH Lawrence featured in my room. Beautiful colour schemes. Very relaxing and all the comforts of home provided. Breakfast is excellent and highly recommended set in a clean, hygienic dining area and a varied menu of all things breakfast! The staff on each encounter were professional, polite, helpful and friendly. In fact they went above and beyond when we stayed at the hotel and ensured our stay was very comfortable. We were very happy with our stay at Eastwood Hall.

There is nothing not to like at this property. They have worked very hard to ensure the building, facilities as well as staff professionality is maintained to a high standard.

Breakfast Breakfast was enjoyable — a classic British spread. We asked for some cheese, and the waiter kindly brought it over, which was a nice touch. Room The room itself was good, though not particularly soundproof. Dinner Dinner was just okay. The highlight was our lovely waiter — she was very attentive and helpful.

Reception We requested a late checkout (just one extra hour), but were told the hotel was fully booked and no extensions were allowed. Interestingly, the day before, we overheard someone being granted a two-hour late checkout without issue. The receptionist didn’t even check the system before saying no, which makes me wonder — how are these decisions made? Based on availability, or based on who's asking?

The hotel grounds are beautiful, well kept and full of wildlife. We really enjoyed walking round and spotting all the different birds and even saw a couple of rabbits and squirrels 😊 The hotel is scrupulously clean and the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. The food was very enjoyable with plenty of options, especially at breakfast. Can't remember the last time we enjoyed a buffet breakfast so much. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced, especially for a 4 star hotel. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and spacious and the provided toiletries were of good quality. Towelling gowns were provided along with a lovely welcome pack of drinks and snacks and a handwritten card. A lovely touch which we weren't expecting. The pool, hot tub, sauna etc were unfortunately out of action which was a disappointment however, we were lucky that the weather was good so we compensated by a walk in the grounds and a nice cold drink on the terrace where we could enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the bird song. We were given a 20% discount on our drinks in the restaurant that evening which I presume was a goodwill gesture in light of the leisure facilities being unavailable. Again, this was another nice touch which highlighted the excellent customer service here. In the evening we went into nearby Eastwood town centre and were surprised by the excellent choice of micropubs. As real ale fans we were spoilt for choice. We will definitely be coming back to Eastwood hall soon! Our stay was excellent.

Other than the majority of the leisure facilities being unavailable, which was just unfortunate and not due to poor customer service, there was nothing that we could fault.

We have stayed in many dog friendly hotels and this has been the first one where there were normal height tables one could eat at outside the restaurant as you can't take dogs in. So often we have had to sit on sofas bent double trying to eat off a coffee table. This was also the first hotel where I saw dedicated poo bins in the grounds. Quite often it's almost impossible to find even a litter bin. There were also dog water bowls outside reception and outside the bar. Thank you thank you. For us humans, dinner and breakfast was really good.

The deceiving photo of the outside of the hotel - Reception, all facilities, bedrooms are in the sprawling complex to the right of that "facade". The receptionist, despite being asked, did not tell us where the nearest parking area was to our bedroom so we went the long, long way round. Why are TVs on in the bar with the sound down? There were about 6 people in the bar and no-one was watching Catch Phrase - so turn the TVs off as it's so distracting.

From the minute we walked into the hotel, we were greeted with smiles and a friendly welcome. Our rooms were superb and very comfortable. The facilities catered for all and again all staff were amenable and friendly. The pool was delightful and a very welcomed experience after a long journey. Our evening meal was delicious and presented superbly. The waitress that attended us was lovely and helpful. - An absolute gem and. A member of staff to be treasured. Our morning breakfast was value for money and provided a wide range of choices- the food was great On checking out, again the female member of staff was pleasant. Overall this was a first rate experience and we will have no hesitation in making another booking.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. All the staff that dealt with us were professional and personable. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable, our room was spacious and very comfortable and again, very clean. We took advantage of the dinner option and we received a voucher for £29 per adult to spend in the restaurant, the most expensive main course was the rib eye steak at £29 so you can choose whatever you fancy! A quick shout out to Kyra, who looked after us in the restaurant, a wonderful lady, who gave us 5 star service. We checked out the pool and steam room, again all lovely and clean. Children are allowed in until 6pm so after 6pm it was very quiet and enjoyable. Breakfast was plentiful and restocked regularly, and some of the best croissants I've ever tasted. Easy check in and out, highly recommend staying here.

If you have any mobility issues ask for a room between 101-128 if possible. We got room 175 and it's quite a walk!!!!

We stayed with our dog and it was perfect. The room was near a fire exit, so we could easily pop out during our stay for a toilet visit or a quick stroll. We were able to have breakfast with him by sitting outside the restaurant but near enough to bring the food to our table. We were also able to leave him in the room for 40 minutes, so we managed to use the leisure facilities by staggering our visit and sharing some time together in the middle. We were also able to have an evening meal in the restaurant, while he stayed contently in the room after a long walk at the nearby nature reserve.

The apps had been disabled on the TV, so we could only watch FreeView TV. Couldn't really understand the reason for this. We are normally able to connect our phone and use our Netflix account. If we had know, we would have brought our laptop to watch a movie or two.
