Everything! We stayed here to attend a festival and location was perfect for us. Owners went out of their way to accommodate us and even waited for us to get back and arranged some food for us late on the evening which was very welcome and unexpected. Food in the restaurant was fantastic and the breakfast was good. Room was quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel itself is clean and is being improved by the current owners who are obviously putting a lot of effort in to their business. Would not hesitate to stay here again and we’ll see you next year! Thanks Ali and team for making our stay are brilliant one 😊

We stayed at the pine lodge hotel for a night to break up our journey travelling home from London. The hotel was in a lovely area - which was quiet from the town but not too far away. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a man who was very polite and made us feel at home. He was kind to the kids too and asked how their day had been - which was lovely. After I asked about our booking for a family room only being for one child instead of two, we were told not to worry about it and was given our room number. When we got to our room I had realised that we had been upgraded to a suite - which was a great size! The room was clean and well presented and the bathroom was very clean with a big corner bath and shower. We had a great night sleep, it was quiet for a Saturday night.. didn't have any noise at all. Beds were clean and really comfortable. On the morning, we went for breakfast which was a buffet type with toast, coffee and teas, cereals. The lady came.out and asked us if we wanted a full English breakfast - which was included in our room price! It was absolutely gorgeous and well presented! Overall, I am absolutely over the moon with our recent stay and would definitely stay here again if I was in the area! Thank you for a lovely experience!

Hotel was a little outdated but was still absolutely fine!

Very welcoming people who run the hotel! All staff are very friendly and accommodating. Been there twice so far and we will be returning there again. Wonderful hotel with absolutely exceptional food! Great breakfast, lovely coffee and drinks plus the restaurant is good value for money together with a lovely cuisine. I recommend this hotel to anyone for comfort, accommodation, location, parking and fantastic friendly staff who have made this hotel very special and truly unique! Can't wait to go back there! Me and my partner agree that this hotel is our number one getaway place to relax, unwind and to enjoy every moment spent there! 😀

There is nothing not to like!

The staff were very friendly nothing was toi much for them .they always had a smile.if we asked for more milk there it was .we asked for our room to be cleaned and it was.my husband bought a meal o Sunday night it was only burger and chips but it was delicious and the chips were crispy . If we go back to Nottingham again we will definitely consider this hotel again.

The only down point I have is that the carpets in the main ares and stairs the carpet needs renewed it's all thread bore . Bedrooms o the bottom floor would be nice expecially because both myself and husband have mobility issues.

The place was easy to find. The food is amazing, it has a restaurant onsite and the food is second to none. The staff are all friendly, including the owner, who we spent a good hour chatting with. We had booked for 1 night, but it turned into 2 as we didn't want to stop. The hotel was able to accommodate this with there being no problem to them. The price of the rooms isn't the cheapest, but the room was clean the facilities good and if you needed anything all you have to do is ask. Even with jt being kn the main road, it isn't noisy in the room.

The shower was a little bit faulty but it worked so didn't complain about it. But the next customer might.

The hotel was easy to find, information was sent in advance, including WiFi password, which was great parking was good. Lovely welcome from the hosts on arrival. Bedding was lovely and clean and smelt clean and fresh. Food in the restaurant was really lovely. Lovely friendly hosts who are genuinely interested in ensuring you have a nice stay. I will definitely come back if I’m in the area again.

There was very little to say negatively about my stay. I just struggled a little to find a soft pillow, but I’m confident if I’d asked, it would have been changed without any problems So it was my fault for not mentioning it.

Location was good for us and what we needed it for. Lovely friendly greeting and helpful with info. Ability to eat in the adjoining restaurant was a bonus with a good choice of food and friendly and helpful service. Bathroom facilities were basic yet serviceable. It was a bonus to be in a room that faced the side of the building and to have free parking. Comfortable nights sleep. We were concerned that the old and heavy doors would mean being woken up by early risers but wasn’t really an issue. Nice basic breakfast (ie only fried egg available, not scrambled) with juice, cereals and bread available for toasting.

Effort has been made with the decoration in the room however was unfinished. Although no problem with the bedding, the bed divan bases were stained and the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed at the edges as there was thick dust, especially towards the back of the bed. The light pull in the bathroom was brown and in need of replacing.

Good communication with friendly and helpful hotel manager post-booking, regarding access requirements. We only required breakfast which was tasty and sufficient. The room was comfortable and had Wi-fi

The two juices available at breakfast seemed to be diluted as opposed to fresh. The shower cubicle could have done with some updating. Had it not been for the above two small points, I would have given the hotel an Excellent as opposed to Very Good rating. Booking.com did not appear to be able to allow questions to be asked e.g. Whether the room had an over-bath shower or a separate cubicle, until after the room was booked/reserved. As this was a "no cancellation period" booking, this might have proved a problem had the hotel manager not been able to change rooms for us during our conversation.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stayed in room 210, and it was disclosed that this was their best room. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant/bar area was very nicely decorated. We didn't eat here, but the food we saw looked very nice and looked like decent portions. There was also ample parking.

It wasn't that we didn't like anything. However, the entrance and stairway could do with a makeover. The stair carpet was a little run down. But this wouldn't stop us from staying here again or recommending to friends and family.

Room was large and comfortable, bathroom needs attention, mildew in shower, old shower bar still in situ, bathroom sink cabinet needs replacing as wood has become damp and has blown down the sides, needs modernising and floor needs replacing. Didn't like the wall covering in the shower, proper tiling would be much nicer. Breakfast was excellent, nice bright room, good quality food and pleasant staff who checked on you regularly.

TV system was something we have not come across ROKU TV, difficult to navigate and we could not get channels. Asked for someone to come and help but due to the restaurant being so busy, no one came up to our room. A proper written instruction guide would be very useful in the room and also a guest information folder in the room for local attractions, bus services, as it is on a main bus route, would, I think be very helpful.
