I was very happy with the room. The staff were really welcoming and friendly.

The only down fall if you could call it that, i felt was with 2 days stay i had enough coffee etc. for one day and it could have been topped up for the 2nd day. I was up buying a property for myself so spent a fair bit of time at the hotel. I went out and brought some coffee and a tub of coffee mate which was fine but did think that could improve. Maybe also just an odd plain biscuit as I am diabetic which quite a few of your visitors will be. I did buy some for myself which was not a problem. Just a suggestion not a complaint.

I’ve stayed at The Bowman more than once now and I really appreciate the comfort and convenience it offers. The location is excellent, especially for those working or spending time locally, and having the pub next door is a real bonus. The recent refurbishments have made a noticeable difference compared to last year. Everything feels fresher and more up to date.

The only real downside was the noise in the mornings. Housekeeping can be quite loud from around 9am, often shouting between rooms, which made it hard to rest properly after late nights. One morning there was also belt sanding starting at 8am, which was particularly disruptive. It would be a big improvement if noisy activity could start a bit later in the day, ideally after 11am when check-out time begins. Despite this, I will stay again because of how convenient and comfortable it is. I just hope the team can take this feedback on board for a quieter, more restful experience next time.

The Bowmans were easy to locate The rooms are nice and spacious The place and the surrounding area were quiet Plenty of parking space and not overcrowded The staff were very polite, kind and respectful I would recommend the Bowmans to friends and family travelling to Nottingham and looking for a place to stay.

A spider came out of the tap when you turned it on. Not enough toilet tissue in the bathroom in case of a stomach emergency. No toilet brush to clean the toilet after using. The bed was uncomfortable ( it was hard to find a good angle to sleep) Overall my stay was lovely and yes I will definitely choose to stay here again if needed to in the future.

Hotel is a seperate building from pub only accessible through a reception area . This reduced noise , not that it was noisy compared to some I have stayed in . Plenty of parking for the hotel area & pub . Staff in both were friendly , My first drink became two for one as they were wanting to empty the barrel ( like I'm going to complain about two for one on beer ! ! ! ) Food was served quickly , good portion size & the lamb kofta starter was very good with a generous portion of sauce . Breakfast was plentiful , just wished tey had boiling water for tea making , the thermal flasks just not quite up to the mark . I asked to have my tea pot steam heated to ensure a good brew ( thats me being fussy )

My fault , second night , I went to eat just after 7 30 and some dishes I would have liked were sold out . Been a busy day for the pub , so fairs fair , they do not want food left over to be thrown out . However the chickn & rib combo was a substantial platter full

I liked the ease of checking in and out. I was over this way visiting family nearby. Ease of late check-in, I sent messages to say I would be late checking in. I've stayed here before. Rooms are adequate and have everything you need. I reviewed it high because it suits my needs, but it might not suit others. From my previous visit, I prefer to stay on the rooms to the left of the property and be on the ground floor. But that is just my preference. I liked listening to the bird song in the early morning. Staff are friendly and efficient. 5 stars from me. I can't review breakfast and other dining options in the pub/restaurant as I didn't eat there because I was out and about with family we ate at different places. I do prefer a firm mattress and had a very comfortable night sleep.

From the moment I arrived, the experience was outstanding. I was warmly welcomed by a friendly, courteous receptionist whose genuine smile set the perfect tone for my stay. The room was absolutely immaculate — the cleanliness was flawless and immediately noticeable. The shower was a particular highlight; it was so luxurious that I genuinely didn’t want to get out! I enjoyed a fantastic night’s sleep on both nights, thanks to the incredibly comfortable beds. Every aspect of the surroundings — from the spotless car park to the charming pub and the consistently excellent staff — exceeded my expectations. Breakfast each morning was flawless, with the morning team providing attentive, friendly service that made the start of each day even better. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay. Even over the busy Easter weekend, the room rates were more than fair, offering incredible value for the quality of service provided. I cannot wait to return!

There was nothing not to like, everything was jus perfect.

Breakfast was fantastic, as usual. Excellent choice and great food. The evening meals in the pub are also excellent. The surroundings are better now that the pub has received a bit of attention. The toilets in the restaurant and bar still need some sorting out, though.

The rooms need a little TLC. The floor of the room above was very creaky and we could hear the slightest movement which we found disturbing. We had to ask for an extra cup, glass, pillow and towel. We had to booked for 2 people and the room appeared to have been prepared for just one. However the lady at reception was great and sorted things out straightaway.

This was our second stay at the Bowman. The rooms are clean and tidy, beds comfortable. Room well stocked with tea coffee provisions. The staff are very attentive to customers needs and are friendly and willing to help make our stay comfortable.

Not on this trip but one previously. it was my boyfriends birthday and I wanted a bucket of ice for a bottle of champagne 🍾 The lady on reception Danielle I think that was her name walked to the bar with me asked the staff for a bucket carried up to the room for me. she didn't have to but wanted too to be helpful. That is good service x Also Tina on reception I have seen twice now always pleasant. I highly recommend staying there.

I liked the position of the property as it was easy to get into Nottingham either on the bus or by metro. I also found the staff’s attitude to customer care to be exemplary and applaud them without exception. Given that they appeared to range from young to middle aged , there was no difference in their performance . I thought price wise we had value for money & in particular the cooked breakfast which was lovely ………however we would have paid more for a bit of an upgrade especially food offering!

I think the property is ripe for a bit of a face lift. Our bedroom was clean and spacious but the bathroom ceiling was peeling & there was evidence of new plaster work in the bathroom but no attempt to paint over it. Additionally there was a strange stale odour so the Receptionist loaned us her air freshener . Having seen what competent staff are employed, I think the powers that be at GKI need to spend a bob or 2 to improve the product & give the staff something to sell they can be proud of. I also think the menu could be revamped. I appreciate the ‘sizzling’ theme but few healthy options wouldn’t go a miss. Not everybody wants ‘chips’.

The location was perfect for the purpose I needed it for value for money compared to others was good room was spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful the pub which is located directly across from the hotel was reasonable value for what you got and the food was good I would stay again

Not really much to dislike in the room we stayed in just a couple of things like the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly and might need maintenance as other guests may see it as more of an issue possibly I would suggest mats outside the shower cubicle as when I opened the door after using the shower water went all over the floor and could be dangerous if people aren't careful
