No ramp at entrance for disable people. Chairs in reception bit worn (see pics) Shower overflowed in shower tray.(See pics) Tight fit at foot off the bed to wall Remote control for TV not working. Stairs down to swimming pool on level 1. Steam room not working for several weeks. Jacuzzi on timer and goes off for 30mins while being cleaned (not 15 mins as told.)

Very nice location with the Forest recreational park being nearby. Friendly staff and a nice guest and hotel user atmosphere. The sauna, steam room and pool is a definite advantage over other hotels in Nottingham. I am familiar with both staying and using the facilities at the hotel. This hotel fits perfectly with my requirements as a local to Nottingham. On this occasion I was having building works carried out and spent 5 days with my family and pet. I found the chamber service to be prompt and efficient. The food offered at the hotel was very good. The ability to safely open windows was also brilliant. Great parking facilities. I like the fairly vibrant furnishings in particular in the bar, restaurant and reception areas. Very comfortable and relaxing.

I am a professionally qualified housing practitioner and property developer, so I did notice that the finishing to repairs to the walls and ceilings was not up to a good standard in several areas. The carpet is also too light for heavy use and pets. I didn't like the charge for room service and found the food to be a little bit pricey although very tasty.

John a member of staff gave 1st class service. He should get a pay rise.😁

Nothing in swimming pool area improved. (Since my last visit) Still no steam room working.Still broken plaster on wall in swimming area.( see pics) No ramp on entrance for disable people.

The food in the restaurant was pretty good, the staff are also very lovely! In our first initial room, the air con didn't work so we messaged the hotel and we was moved into another room for free with working air con, very fast response. We enjoyed our stay during Festival season and felt comfortable here

Unfortunately we found what looked like Mould (at a guess) in the bottom of the room kettle, we had a toilet door that would get jammed and felt broken, the room's do feel small and lack space which we was okay with but not for everyone. All I'd recommend is to just make sure maids / staff thoroughly check that everything works and fully clean in the rooms before housing guests. Other than that, very positive trip for a good price!

The room was very nice, bright, spacious, air conditioned. The coffee machine and complementary soft drinks were a nice bonus. The location was very useful for our visit. It was nice to have access to the pool. The robe and slippers was a nice touch but for a one night stay we didnt use them

The shower didnt drain very well. I dont think hotel guests should have to pay for parking. There should be free parking on a first come first served basis. Especially based on the cost of our room. The access to the pool was very dangerous (wet stairs) and the jacuzzi wasnt working.

We did like the location - it was a walk to more of the centre and it’s up and down hills, but we did enjoy it. Walking allows you to see and experience more. The lady checking us in was nice and professional, also the room was great. Convenient pub grub across the road too. Lots of parking.

We were expecting a sofa in the room / slightly bigger room due to the pictures online when we paid for the (I think it was called, could be wrong) ‘queen room’ but it was nice nevertheless. Also we were looking forward to the pool to be told on arrival it won’t be open for whatever reason and will be open tomorrow, for it then to be shut again. But these things happen.

I booked my room at this hotel while I was attending a conference. The initial room I got was too small and not as quiet as I expected with ventilation fans outside the window. I was then upgraded to a better room with the help of Peter at the hotel reception who was quite helpful. The hotel location is not bad with frequent busses to Nottingham City Centre. The breakfast served was OK.

The rooms did not have any wardrobe to put my clothes in so I had to leave it in my luggage case. The gym and swimming pool changing room should have proper lockers.

A great location, 5 minutes away from the centre via Uber or a quick bus journey. Staff were really friendly and kept us informed of any changes over the Christmas period. 2 for £12 cocktail voucher each day came in handy! Cocktails were delicious. The bar and restaurant area was cosy and breakfast was good value for money!

The pool facilities could be slightly more modern but we only stayed for 45 minutes and enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna. The room wasn’t as clean as you would expect, very dusty and marks on the pillow however I didn’t feel I needed to complain about this as it wasn’t too much of an issue for the short time we stayed. Cleaners were great though and made the bed and brought fresh towels etc.

I didn't make plans, it was a late night decision to travel the next morning. Lovely hotel. As I walked in to my room, the heating was on, the headboard was lit, so cosy and comfortable. The whole Hotel was so well done. Couldn't use the Pool or or steam room, as breathing problems stopvthat, but was so good to be able to feel relaxed. Lovely staff too, they are so friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was perfect too. I didn't have dinner there, but would have done gad I not eaten a late lunch out. I went to the City Centre. Plenty of shop choices and places to eat. Some gorgeous Architecture. I don't drive, but was easy to get a tram from Nottingham Train Station, to City Centre, then a Purple bus from there, to just yards from Nottingham Sherwood Hotel, across from the road from bus Stop. There is a bus stop so close to the Hotel to get the Purple bus to City Centre too. I want to return to this hotel in spring for a week then. All staff make the stay even better. Thank you. 😊

I didn't come across anything I didn't like.

I arrived late; it would have been nice to send an email the day before, as I would have brought my swimwear to relax after work. The bed was very comfortable, and the bottles of water and crisps were a nice touch.

Pillows were not so comfortable; main toilets in the lounge was not working; had to walk around to the others; toilets, which was no problem, but they were cold; A lot of the ceiling tiles need replacing in both. The cost of the room was £108, which was not worth it, plus having to pay for the car parking as well, £12 or £6 if you sign up for your hotel emails. If I had booked the room the day before, it would have been £89 for bed and breakfast, which I think is okay for an overnight stay. But I feel because they were holding a course there the day after, which I was attending, the prices went up.
