The room was very comfortable and the space had been utilised well. The hosts were very attentive and keen to provide everything we needed, fitting around us without bothering us.

The room is incredibly small and clearly suited for shorter stays (which I should have realised). Only other gripe is that the TV buttons didn't work properly so it was hard to use the TV. Bathroom sink was awkward to use.

Lovely place to stay, quiet and attractively finished, comfy little suite. Fantastic and helpful hosts.

This is a very quiet, comfortable room with well-thought out use of space, especially in the ensuite bathroom. We particularly enjoyed the use of the garden on a tranquil spring evening and the helpful advice about local restaurants.

I had chosen this location because ground floor access was offered but on arrival I discovered a very high step to the front door which made going in and out very difficult for my arthritic knees. A second step would make access easier and safer.

I didn't opt for the breakfast as i was going to be up and out of the room. But after seeing the room and the facilities i would 100% went for breakfast if i had the time.

I can't really say there was anything at all that was unsatisfactory. The hosts have performed magic in the space provided. There is everything you need in the room.

We just want to say a huge thank you for last weekend's stay. It was so lovely to meet Katie and Tim, who were consummate hosts-and the room was wonderful. The little touches with the room really did emphasise that they had thought of absolutely everything someone might need when away from home-and I have no doubt that they would try to accommodate anyone's requests- to provide a professional service and homely stay. We would just like to add the breakfast was really great, too, and will definitely be staying again.

Katie and Tim are wonderful hosts and The Ashfield is a perfect, peaceful, tucked-away place to stay. Everything was spot-on with a delicious breakfast, great shower and so many lovely little touches. A great comfortable and cosy stopover. Thank you!

Nothing, all top notch

We felt very welcome. Everything was taken care of. Our Hosts were very nice. They even did some laundry for us. The delicious breakfast was served in a pretty, heated garden house. Everything was very lovingly furnished. We felt very comfortable. The studio is small and compact, with all you need.

Small but beautifully appointed. Had everything we needed. Lovely garden. Attention to detail was amazing. Amazing range of teas, coffees etc. Hosts were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfast - exactly what we asked for.

The room was clean, tidy, well decorated, well stocked with tea, coffee, water etc. Excellent bed. Hosts Katie and Tim were fantastic, making the stay very pleasant, couldn't do enough to help, and breakfast in the hut was something different 😀

Wasn't nothing to not like

My two sons had a tournament nearby and I was a bit worried about them but Katie was great and completely put my mind at rest.. Theres another event here next year and Id definitely book again. T hanks so much
