The Manor and the surrounding gardens were beautiful. The staff and service were excellent along with the food.

I'm a dog lover and own one, but I really don't think it's appropriate for dogs to be dining with guests. Especially when the owners can't control them.

We loved our stay at the hotel and the pictures really don’t do the hotel justice. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere as you come up the drive, with the beautiful gardens and seating areas outside. The building is stunning and feels like a real treat place to stay. We arrived early and couldn’t check in but were greeted by the lovely reception team who were very friendly and welcoming. We left our car and had a lovely walk over the tops to Matlock. The rooms are large and lovely with everything you need and beds very comfortable. We only had the breakfast but this was very tasty and the portion sizes were perfect. The location for us was perfect with walks along the canal or into Matlock Bath, Matlock, with various options up and over the tops looking down into the valley. Thank you everyone at the hotel, you were all so kind and helpful and we will be back.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The hotel building is beautiful, the bathrooms deco/fittings on the ground floor are spectacular and the menu choices and food served is very tasty. The location is fantastic, short walk from Cromford's shops, pubs and eateries.

Not a thing I didn't like but the only thing that would given a little extra value to our stay would to have provided a vanity set in the room. A little pack that usually contains a cotton wool pad, shower cap and emery board. It would have been useful as I had forgotten to bring these things with me. Apart from that everything was great.

Absolutely beautifully renovated period hotel with the most lovely and attentive staff imaginable. Our room was lovely, we had dinner there one night which was fantastic and felt very boutique/intimate and special! We also had a lovely breakfast. Every interaction with different staff was lovely including helpful descriptions of nearby walking routes - which we promptly followed! We are now home, feeling both refreshed from our stay at this lovely hotel, and knackered from two days of walking!

There was some noisy building works going on but it didn’t bother us as to renovate a beautiful old building like this - it has to be done sometime!

Beautiful Grade II listed building, lovely well maintained grounds, period features, tasteful decor, room was described as small but we found it exceeded our expectations, comfortable bed with great pillows and crisp sheets, fluffy bath towels, nice toiletries, spotless bathroom, tv with all channels and no subscription only options, easy to find and park, professional friendly staff who deliver exceptional customer service and clearly enjoy their jobs, great dinner and breakfast, would definitely return! Great location to visit Matlock Bath.

All the rooms(bedroom, dining room, lounge area and snug) were very tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, lovely shower and big fluffy towels, the grounds were very well kept and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Menus for breakfast, dinner and drinks were really good with lots of choice. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. Good location for exploring the area.

The only very small fault we could find was that there was were no suitable towel rails or hooks for the big fluffy towels in the bathroom.

Oakhill is a small boutique hotel, just off the main road but so quiet & set in lovely grounds. Very friendly, helpful staff, we were welcomed at reception by Emma. who also tended bar in the evening & helped serve at breakfast along with Chelle/Shell - not too sure on the spelling! Breakfast was lovely with cereal, fruit, toast along with a good choice of cooked breakfast options ie; vegan, healthy, fish, Derbyshire & traditional all cooked & presented beautifully. Our room was a cosy double so we knew it would be small but adequate when you only need it to sleep in. Tea/coffee were provided in room. The bathroom was beautiful & the walk in shower amazing! Definately coming back.

Oakhill Hotel is stunning. The old house and grounds are beautiful and so peaceful. Our room was a double and very clean and comfortable. It had been decorated in neutral shades and had a modern shower room. We could walk into Cromford but it was sitting in the beautiful gardens and having a cool drink on a very warm day that made our day. We also had dinner and breakfast at Oakhill and both were delicious and good value for money. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely book Oakhill again when back in the Peak District. Also plenty of free parking.

The only thing we would consider when booking again is whether there is a wedding or function on the night we were wanting to book. There wasn't an actual wedding on the night/ day we were there, but there was on the day we left. Some of the wedding party had arrived whilst we were there. They have a big marquee in the grounds and the setting is perfect for a wedding. But if you wanted a quiet stay and there was a wedding on I think it would be a different stay. Some people wouldn't mind but i know we would.

Very friendly and hospitable staff - making you feel very welcome and relaxed - offering excellent, personalised service. Very good dinner and breakfast. An elegant bar area with excellent local bottled ales available! A tranquil, scenic location tucked away along a drive just off the A6 in Cromford. Grade 2 listed period features and character. Located very close to the Industrial Heritage sites of Cromford village and the picturesque Derwent Valley attractions of Matlock Bath.

The bed pillows were cheap, saggy and lacking sufficient body and support.

Beautiful hotel and location. Cozy rooms with all the amenities. A beautiful deep porcelain tub to soak after a long day. Food in the restaurant was wonderful. You didn’t leave hungry ! Staff was amazing and attentive. Took our luggage to our room and personally checked us in and made sure we were comfortable. Beautiful gardens. Perfect for a getaway or special occasion. We were traveling and found it a relaxing break on our road trip.
