I spent a week at Church Villa and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was greeted by exceptionally kind hosts who made me feel right at home. The room was incredibly cozy, featuring a comfortable bed perfect for a good night’s sleep, and there was ample space to relax and take a leisurely walk. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was simply outstanding—delicious, abundant, and served in a bright, sunny, and very inviting dining area. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely pleasant stay.

We had a lovely stay at Church Villa B&B with Hilary and Graham, who were very warm and welcoming, made delicious breakfasts in the morning and lovely fires and tea in the evening, and gave us lots of helpful tips for eating out and travel. We especially enjoyed the breakfast room where you can see the birds coming for their breakfast in the beautiful garden outside. We had a really excellent experience and will definitely try and come back!

The room was lovely and cosy with a great on suite. The hosts were really helpful in helping me get around, lifts to train station and borrowing an ebike, and provided recommendations for local sites to visit. The hospitality was exceptional with a lovely communal sitting area with a log fire and delicious cooked breakfasts which would order the night before.

It’s olde worlde feel with very interesting conservatory containing a vine planted in 1800. Exposed beams in the bedroom, with a cosy window seat. However very comfortable with every need thought out and accounted for, even a night light in the bedroom!

Breakfast was excellent and the choices offered on a slip of paper allowed me to choose what I wanted and quantity. I found the offer of my own lounge and log fire charming. Graham and Hilary helped with local places to eat, fuel and directions.

Very friendly couple who go above and beyond to help. Beautiful room, great breakfast. A lovely gesture getting a tray of tea or coffee on arrival. Being able to sit in a lounge or breakfast room and also use the garden was brilliant. Tea tray in room even had a gluten free option which is the first time dietary needs have been catered for ever and shows that the booking request was read and noted..

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and promptly offered a cuppa. The beds were comfortable and the best bathrobe ever! Cuddly and warm. When we came back from supper there was a lovely fire going in the fireplace. Very considerate.

Everything about the place...the owners where fantastic....house..breakfast..location...wonderful. they even gave us a lift to the nearest pub..so we could have a drink and leave car behind...lovely couple....we will be coming back.

Very attractive and relaxing 400 year old accommodation. Quite location with seperate living room and dining area overlooking the secluded garden. Great breakfast in a no hassle, stress free quiet B&B. Plenty of easy off road front garden parking. Recommended and would use again. National Trust - Kedleston Hall and Hardwick Hall within an easy drive.
