The Continental breakfast was set out on the landing. there was cereal, bread (toaster provided) fruit, danish pastries, fruit juice and milk were in a fridge along with bottles of water for the kettle, along with tea bags and granulated coffee, A coffee machine and plenty of clean crockery etc. It was lovely to just go outside our room door and get our breakfast and was able to make a cup of tea at any time. The check-in was quick. Our room was very comfortable and very clean, it had two armchairs which was very good as very often hotel rooms only have one armchair and a hard chair for the dressing table. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if staying around Chesterfield area.

The room's decor and style was lovely, it felt very luxurious. I have taken away some decorating tips for my future home renovation! There was everything we needed and lots of space to put our bags. I really appreciated the smell of bleach in the bathroom on our arrival! The TV had lots of channels to choose from. The bed was very comfortable, so too were the chairs. The breakfast had ample choice, and the pain au chocolat was particularly delicious. All the crockery and cutlery was clean and well organised. I especially appreciated having a fan in the room!

The only thing to comment on is the state of the towels. Although they were clean and were a lovely colour, they had bleach spots and were torn in places. This is the only negative thing to mention, and would not prevent me from recommending the hotel or staying there again. If the towels were in a better state then this would have resulted in my rating being 10/10.

Good spacious room ,very comfy bed

Description of room was misleading saying the room had tea and coffee facilities which it didn't you had to go out into the corridor for the facility , also felt that the breakfast menu was misleading as it was a continental type breakfast which didn't have cheese or cold meat as being part of it ,plus your taking all your breakfast things into your room to eat and drink them which was a first for me ,we did mention about the cheese and cold meat to one of the girls in the restaurant but she said that it couldn't be left out even though their was a fridge to keep it in where all the breakfast facilities were.

The room was amazing (as usual) quality fittings, bedding, and great location to the town. Great breakfast set up where you can choose your breakfast and enjoy it in your room. Unlimited use of tea and coffee facilities at all times. The owner has a real gem here and would recommend to anyone staying in Chesterfield.

Only on very small thing, the small glass table could be slightly bigger so both can have breakfast together, but this does no detract from an amazing stay.

The location was perfect for us. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough. We barely saw any staff but when we did they were courteous, pleasant and efficient. I gave a mark of 8/10 for the staff but on reflection I would have changed that to a 9 or a 10 if I had been able to edit my mark.

The breakfast arrangement. We would have preferred individual tea and coffee making facilities in our room. Instead the kettle was on the landing. Not ideal for your early morning cuppa. I know this is down to the guests rather than the management but leaving the breakfast items on rhe landing is a system open to abuse. On our first morning all the water bottles had disappeared from the fridge.

The bfirst was OK but setting was a bit strange.on arriving car park was full.spoke with Mathew who had a full resterauant. But within 5 minutes he broke off what he was doing moved a few cars and we were parked up.mathew and his staff were brilliant. Always had a smile on their faces and nothing was too much trouble.room was excellent.

The entrance and departure down the fire escape.taking suit cases down the fire escape was not ideal for me and my wife as we are not great walking and are knocking on a bit.

The bedroom was large and pleasantly decorated, with a good en-suite too! Think there are only 5 rooms. Breakfast is a help yourself continental style one, with great choices and plenty of it. It’s available out in the large hall then you take it back in to your room to eat!

The bed is placed in front of the window, which made opening the windows and closing/opening blinds very difficult. When leaving, had to take my suitcase down a steep set of fire escape-type stairs. Quite dangerous.

Lovely rooms, very modern and clean Bathroom very nice with daily fresh towels etc. would highly recommend this hotel. Town centre but no noise at night. Buffet breakfast available which was very nicely presented. Evening meal in restaurant absolutely first class. Not over expensive with lovely decor and service excellent. Would definitely return here in the future.

Centrally located for alternative restaurants, also Chesterfield ideal to visit Bolsover Castle, Kedleston Hall and Hardwick Hall. Restaurant very convenient serving excellent food. Onsite parking free.

V good continental breakfast on landing self service works well. Room table too low to eat comfortably sitting in armchairs. Bath sheets too large for space to store in bathroom.

Lovely, large room which was very clean. Large, comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries and a powerful shower. Good continental breakfast with gluten free options for my husband. Liked having milk provided in the communal fridge and tea/coffee making facilities to have a drink whenever you wanted.

The breakfast would have been enhanced with the option cheese and ham.
