Excellent spacious bedroom with one double and one single bed, one window facing the woods, quiet at night time, well heated hotel. Paid car park but cheap (£5/day), plenty spaces available. Pleasant landscape views (green fields and wood). British breakfast in welcome break area the other side of street, my son loved it

To access the service area in M1 motorway where the hotel is located had to drive North and then re enter the motorway in South direction, so I made sure I took everything with me in the morning and only returned in the evening to spleep

Room is basic but clean and comfortable, and staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. Everything you'd want at a budget hotel. Couldn't hear any noise from the nearby motorway either. There's no breakfast room onsite so you are given a voucher to use at the Good Breakfast in the services which offers a range of cooked / English breakfast options (meat and vegetarian) - I don't like cooked breakfasts but my boyfriend enjoyed it. :)

The hotel is on the Southbound side of the motorway so just have to bear that in mind when planning trips - there's no access across from the other side. Not much the hotel can do about that :)

This is the second time we have stayed at Days Inn Hotel Sheffield South. I use this venue because it is great value for money, the staff are very accommodating and friendly and it is close to the Squash venue where we attend squash tournaments. The location is next to the M1, so it is convenient, and we have had an amazing sleep on both occasions. I am very pleased, thank you, and I will definitely book again!

Good rates comfortable rooms

The motorway M1 jnc 31 to 30 closed overnight without notice - got absolutely lost trying to find our way - the receptionists were not aware either so took nr 2.5 hours trying to find our way to the service road. The diversion sign actually took us to beyond jnc 34 northbound it’s only because we thought something was very wrong that we turned around and stopped nr to closed junction to again ask the way to hotel

Easy check in process. Nice, clean, comfortable room. Toiletries provided

£5 to park the car, I dont recall seeing this on the booking information (even if it was there and I missed it, its a private carpark and I think a bit cheeky if im honest) Its a service station hotel so I expected noise so its not really a dislike, more like white noise

Staff were amazing. Really friendly and helpful. Facilities were great. Cosy bed and an extra pillow if needed. They even provided a fan in the hot weather.

The only thing - such a small issue. But there were only 2 plug sockets for the whole room. And they weren't massively functional. Only issue. Everything else was great!

Location was great, staff we really friendly and happy to help at all times of the day and night even if it was just for milk or coffee.rooms were clean tidy and comfy.would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Only downfall was the walking over to service station for breakfast but that was only an issue if it was raining really.

I never really leave reviews but I have to say the staff were absolutely lovely. The guy working on nights needs a special mention, I woke up at 3am with a headache and was going to walk to petrol station for tablets, he was so so nice and gave me some of his own. He couldn't have been more lovely and more helpful.

Comfortable bed with an excellent shower and hair dryer in the room. Wi-fi was good and easy to access. Parking just outside the hotel - remember to enter your car registration number at reception. 11.00 am check-out, so didn't have to rush in the morning. Hotel was a little way from the services, so was very quiet.

Having to walk to the services to get food.

It's a budget hotel that could use a bit of upgrade, but everything was good. Bed was very comfy, clean sheets, hot shower with a strong pressure, very warm room, nice, friendly staff.

Room was a bit too warm, and there was no way to turn the radiator down (it requires a PIN number), so we just opened windows a bit.
