We have stayed here once before and love the village location, the Pub is so nice and cosy. We arrived during a really cold week and they had had thick snow in the precious few days. Our room and the bed was large and comfortable, shower was easy to use and temperature good. Our dinner over at the pub was delicious, the staff were polite and the service quick. Breakfast was plentiful.

One thing that could have been done for the customers was to have cleared the pathway from the accommodation to the carpark. I appreciate the fact that they were short staffed during the cold weather of that week but it was very icy stepping out from the door of the accommodation, especially when needing to walk over to the pub for dinner and breakfast.

Room recently refurbished to a high standard

Bathroom (Room 7) was spotless but had a damp / old building smell despite it just being refurbished to a high standard, I think reason is that the secondary double glazing is not enabling the room to breathe when unoccupied by adding a fan or air vent may assist.

The rooms were in a separate building to the Inn with a car park. The room we had was spacious, sparkling clean and pleasant decor. Everything worked and the bed was large and comfortable. A little traffic noise from the road but nothing that kept us awake or woke us up. Good shower too. The Inn was good too. A separate dining room to the public bar. Good decor and comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast was good.

The ceiling lights in our room were a bit dull which made the room quite dark. WiFi was difficult to connect to from our room and just needed far too much information to join. Signal was almost none existent for us. Dinner was disappointing although very reasonable! I opted for haddock and chips but the fish was so over cooked it had dry and crispy. The beef and ale pie was also dry and not much meat in the filling although it looked delicious.

Excellent location for where we wanted to visit. Staff friendly and efficient.

Unfortunately what we didn't like was the very fast, busy and noisy road which didn't ease off until the early hours of the morning. Would definitely put us off at staying again unless it was possible to have a quieter located room. The window in the room we were unable to have open as it wouldn't open at all. Glad we stayed when we did as the weather was excellent but would not like to have the room in extreme temperatures as it would be stifling and very uncomfortable.

Lovely location in the centre of quaint traditional village, walking distance to 2 pubs, shop (selling great take away food) and superb garden centre. Lovely walks around the property for our dogs. It was dog friendly. Smart decor with a comfortable bed and great shower. Spacious room. Food was good value. Excellent breakfast and value for money. Will definitely return.

Initially communication was very poor. I They didn’t answer their phone or emails. Someone had to actually visit and go into the hotel to check/change our booking. Hotel room car park was muddy. Drinks were expensive. Road noise a little distracting when sleeping as some rooms are on the busy road - the road needs to be 20mph as the vehicles drive through so fast. You have to cross the road to get to the pub for breakfast.

A lovely place to stay in a perfect location if you want to visit Wentworth Woodhouse and walk around the area. We booked an overnight stay because we attended a wedding. We stayed in room 6; it is on the roadside, but we weren't disturbed by traffic or people walking past. The room is spacious and cosy with plenty of room. The bathroom was large, and everywhere was very clean. There are tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, and an iron with ironing board. We had a delicious breakfast, from cereals to cooked options. We have booked it for my daughter's wedding in September.

The rooms are in a building opposite the pub. They were nicely decorated, clean, comfortable, and warm. Our room also had a kettle with tea/coffee making items. The king-size bed was very comfy The staff were very friendly. We only ate breakfast in the pub, a Full English breakfast, which was tasty and filling. A continental breakfast was also available. We were attending an event nearby so we didn't eat evening meals but the menu looked food with local and seasonal ingredients, and good value for money. We did have drinks in the bar, which had a lovely atmosphere, and the log fire was great on the cold evening. We would definitely stay again. Thank you.

The property was a very pleasant surprise. A converted cottage. Very nicely decorated , comfortable beds . And surprisingly quiet.

We were only given a very mean two tea bags , two milks and two coffees. Not good. I’d rather pay a bit more to have at least 4 tea bags as I don’t drink coffee. The food in the pub was very disappointing My halloumi salad came without halloumi and the waitress said I’d only ordered the salad!! . . The menu clearly stated grilled halloumi with pesto salad. Fish and chips mediocre. Cheap frozen chips.

Room was large and cool in the hot weather, fan was provided if needed. Food was very good, staff friendly. Central location for the area we wanted to visit.

I made the mistake of parking under trees the second night in the small car park by the rooms. Birds seemed to get great delight in using my car as a target. I should have known better. It was very busy the second night, no doubt due to an early hot Summer spell, so the restaurant was stretched somewhat but staff apologised about the delay which wasn’t excessive.

As a frequent visitor to Wentworth Woodhouse (just five minutes up the road) I have stayed in this hotel a lot over the years. I never had any complaints but now it's been refurbished I must say that it's absolutely stunning. Beautiful spacious rooms with gorgeous bathrooms. Lovely decor befitting of the idyllic village it's a part of. I'll be honest I didn't want to leave the last time I stayed. It's just so nice and I'd recommend it to everyone and all of their friends.

BUT I will never ever, for however long I live, understand this persistence that the hotel cannot provide wifi. Even if they charged for it, an hour or day pass, that's fine! We'll pay. Let us browse. We're on holiday. (They do advertise that it's not available so this is not a secret).
