This hotel is priced to cater for budget oriented people, if you take this into account the Brecon Hotel is amazing, good bed, encased mattress, clean, friendly staff, this hotel has a family run atmosphere, something large hotel chains are trying hard to achieve but always failing.. The hotel was warm during my stay which occured in January.

It is an old building lacking the sound proofing features modern hotels have implemented, the bathroom could do with a refreshment, squeaking floors, nothing major.

The room was warm, clean and comfortable. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The TV was a good size and was clear. Curtains were good quality and kept the light out. The area was very quiet and I slept like a baby.

The bath took ages to run as the water trickled out. Towels were too small. No proper bath towel provided.

We arrived a little earlier than we had expected to,the man on reception had a lovely personality and was helpful. Safe parking round the back where you stay in the annex, secure building with key code. Close to Town center, Tresco express across the road, tea and coffee making facilities, towels , small sachets of hair & body, soup, toilet roll, clean comfy beds, clean room and bathroom and it was spacious.

We found a sheet that looked like it had been left there by the cleaner in the wardrobe, I forgot to mention this to the receptionist. Im sure it would have been removed if we had done , but we were in a rush to go and decorate for a special occasion, the small bedside light at the side of the second bed started to flicker in the early hours of Sunday morning, i couldn't turn it off, must be a fault on it,water not flowing fast enough through shower head, we were in room 26, overall a nice clean place to stay if you're having a weekend in Rotherham.

It was well situated for my purpose. It was quiet. Regards.

I assumed, wrongly, that breakfast was included in the price and no possibility of an evening meal, therefore I was surprised and disappointed to find that no food was served at the hotel even though the hotel sign outside displaid "The Brecon Hotel and Restaurant".

Room was very Clean.staff were very nice, and moved me to a downstairs room when I explained about asthma and getting upstairs.

No WiFi, could not contact hotel by phone as number on the site was not recognised.. water stains in bathroom. And light pull cord hanging of ceiling.

The lady on reception was easy to talk to and lovely and welcoming. She was also helpful when I asked for local information about where to eat and said it is ok to eat in the room. The room was a good size with plenty of space to walk around and put my luggage. I loved having the tea making facilities in my room. The bathroom is a nice size with space to put toiletries. The carpark is a good size. It is close enough to walk to town and easy enough to find the way there.

More coat hangers would be very useful as there were only three.

It was very hot in the room despite an open window and a cold summer. Bear in mind if you have heavy luggage that streets are quite steep in Rotherham but there are buses from the station and taxi costs about a fiver.

The receptionist was friendly and explained how to access our room clearly. The room was comfortable.

The noises of guests moving about in the room above ours was loud enough to keep waking us up through the night..

The lady on reception was lovely and very welcoming. My travel plans changed due to work commitments and she responded immediately to my phone message reassuring me that arriving on the second day of my booking would be fine. It was my third stay at The Brecon Hotel and although they do not serve food or drink there I would stay there again.

It would be a lot more comfortable and convenient if they did have restaurant facilities. The pillows are rock hard in some rooms.

Good location, off street parking.

No tea spoons/stirrers with tea/coffee. Room was very hot, a fan was provided. One of the window openers was broken so window wouldn't stay open.
