excellent value for money, very dog friendly, clean modern room, close to the canals to be able to walk into Sheffield, the hotel is slightly on the outskirts of the town but I love walking and exploring, the old industrial-ness feel I really enjoyed, some beautiful architecture and amazing old typography on the buildings, the areas definitely not been gentrified and I really enjoyed the whole vibe and atmosphere of the area, my first time in Sheffield and cant wait to come back for more exploring.

We booked this hotel because we were attending an event at Utilita arena which is walking distance from the property and was moderately priced in comparison to other hotels closer by. The room was surprisingly spacious and very clean, beds were comfortable. We slept on the second floor and on the street side but traffic on the busy road wasn’t an issue it all. Check-in and check-out were easy, staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer room service for any item on the menu from their deli. There is a bus stop right by the door which makes getting to and from the train station or city centre very easy.

Though we did not have any issues with this, the hotel is located above a pub so we reckon that if you are given a room on the first floor this might get noisy in the evenings. The area around the hotel is not the nicest to walk around in.

After one year we came back ...we love this place!! Our room was very clean, beds were comfortable, though it was a little be small for three people with luggage. The pub located on the ground floor was great and all the staff were lovely and helpful. We had full English breakfast every morning and lunch once. It was easy to reach Sheffield centre with a tram-train from Attercliffe stop or Arena stop just a 6 minute walk from the hotel. We all fell in love with Stella ...a friendly dog living at the pub!

Everything was fine and we will certainly come back!

It's location is ideal for the EIS and Sheffield Arena. The staff are also great, really friendly. The ritz it isn't. But it doesn't claim to be. It's a perfect place to stay for the traveller on a budget. As others have said, it doesn't have coffee making facilities in the rooms, so just be prepared to have an alternate source for your late night caffeine hit. It does though have a great bar downstairs, with plenty of choice. All in all, it did me just fine, and I'd happily stay again.

The hotel is in a great location for what we were looking for, which is to be near the arena. The bus stop is just around the hotel's corner, so transport links are good. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The room had what we needed and a place to lay our heads for the night. I cannot comment on food as we were out very early in the morning and did not have breakfast there. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for a quick pit stopover.

The wifi wasn't that strong enough for where our room was so there were certain things we could not access on the TV, however, that is not a deciding factor that would put me off getting a room. It could just well be because the room was on the top floor of the building and far away from the router. Everything else was accessible on the TV, so it was fine. What I would've liked to see and I know the hotel does not mention it in their room description and does not offer this service, is tea and coffee-making facilities in the rooms i.e., kettle, cups, etc. From the other customer reviews of the hotel, most people have mentioned this, and I believe it would be a very nice touch to the rooms, especially if you cannot make it downstairs to get a quick cuppa!

Booked at short notice on the day as needed to be close to the Utlita Arena. Close to a tram stop which was useful to get about. Room good value for money and good cooked breakfast thr following morning.

Local area seems a bit scruffy and rundown but ok overall, not where you'd spend time. A bit if noise during the night from talking and music being played but this was from a car with open doors and clubbers meeting up down the road, nothing to with the venue itself.

Lovely staff, all very friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome. We didn't spend much time in the bar downstairs but it had a great, warm atmosphere (as well as a lovely dog!), and really charming decor. We didn't end up needing to use it but they offer room service as well as breakfasts and other food prepared in the adjoining deli. The room was very clean with a good sized, comfortable bed, a TV, small desk and some wardrobe space to hang our clothes. The shower settings were highly customisable for different pressures and temperatures. I had seen some reviews about noise coming up from the bar but it wasn't bad at all. There was some music every now and then but it stopped at a very reasonable time. The location itself wasn't too loud either; we had the room window open for quite a while and outside noise was quite minimal.

The only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was the lack of a kettle/tea and coffee making facilities in the room, as this had been listed as a feature on the booking advertisements; I'm guessing it's just an older ad that needs updating.

Great communication. friendly and welcoming. Locals in the bar made us feel welcome. We stayed as it's 15 mins walk from the Utilita arena. The perfect place for pre and after show drinks if you want to make a night of it. Parking available on site and street parking. Comfy beds. Sunday lunch was lovely. Full English before we left at the deli which is part of the pub. Fob provided for easy access so you can come and go as you please. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay Would definitely stay again. Thank you ☺️

A Kettle in the room would've been nice but wasn't that fussed as there's facilities downstairs for coffee.

Location is on a bus route approximately ten minutes from Sheffield city centre. Bus number 9 stops across from the hotel ask for Zion Lane just after the fish and chip shop. Going into Sheffield the bus stop is right outside the hotel but check the times a list is on the bus stop. There are other buses that operate along the same route but at different bus stops. The hotel super clean with paid breakfast and light meals. The room I had was really good very clean and spacious. The hotel had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and I shall be returning. Thank you to all staff and management for a enjoyable stay.

The welcome from Kelly was friendly. She showed me to my room and explained the security fobs. She also sold me a breakfast token and explained how the system works with the cafe next door via the internal door. The television is very complex but I found my way through the options so that I could watch my favourite programmes. I had a late pint in the bar which was very busy even approaching midnight. The locals were keen to make conversation.

Directions from the local tram stop using Google Maps were unclear, so I arrived via the long way round. After trying the round using Bodmin Road and a couple of linking footpaths, a 20 minute walk became am easy 10 minute stroll. Beware of the guard dogs in the yard along Bodmin Road.
