Breakfast was just ok. For 4 star I expected a little more variety. Would love berries and yoghurt. Fruit smoothie. Waffles. Black pudding. Hot chocolate was not available.

Dinner service tables could do with tablecloths and more desserts. Like a fruit plate or side of green veg. The room was lovely new carpet new bathroom nice beds . Perfect and comfie. Only complaint was lack of room lighting. Couldn't see much because not enough light. Had to go to bathroom for light.

The hotel as a whole is general. We return to this hotel at the same time each year for a competition in the city which my daughter competes in. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful and comfortable.

It is undergoing renovation. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were closed, so we were unable to relax and unwind with food and drinks upon returning to the hotel in the evening. They had a limited selection of bottled drinks available from reception, but we had to order a takeaway to be delivered to the hotel. Breakfast was still served, however. But I did feel the choices and quality of the breakfast were lacking compared to previous stays. We were not informed that the bar and restaurant would be closed up until a couple of days before we were due to stay.

The location is great for access to town. The bar/restaurant staff were excellent. The bar tender/waiter on the evening of the 17th was very attentive and accommodating towards our family party. Breakfast was superb and great value for money. The car park is convenient and not too expensive. The seating areas around the hotel are spacious and comfortable. The gym and pool looked great, sadly we didn't have time to use them. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is being renovated. Unfortunately, our 2nd floor room was directly below the floor currently being worked on. We were woken up around 7 a.m. This didn't affect our stay too much, but guests need to be made more aware on booking.

Great refurbished rooms, thought of everything for the new refit. Hotel definitely on the list for when we are next in Sheffield for an overnighter. Good location for ease of access to the city centre.

Why do person feel it's OK to smoke, vape and potentially the odd funny fag, just near the reception entrance. If persons need to smoke then that's the choice you made to impact your own health, please don't put me at risk also. Would be great if there was a smoking shelter away from the main building. Hope the feedback helps for to ensure they have an even better experience

Everything. What a gem! We have stayed in some wonderful hotels world wide and this really is special. All the staff,but particularly Adi on reception who went above and beyond to help.Also mini......(?)on Reception very pleasant and helpful ,as restaurant staff,very friendly without being unprofessional. Always ready to help. We had a lovely room which had been renovated and overlooked the quays. The building work was restricted to one floor and really not an issue at all. Good food,spotlessly clean throughout,large room, enormous high bed , bath in bathroom as requested together with the view. Won’t need to look anywhere else when visiting Sheffield in future!

It's such good value for money. All the staff were so polite, lovely and make you feel happy. I've got disabilities and they helped me with that. The restaurant is amazing and food exceptional. I really enjoyed my stay so thank you all so much. .

I didn't like the fact at 10 at night I need water I suffer with anxiety and had a really dry mouth night staff said they had no bottled water or even could get some with ice yet there was as a fridge behind her, not only that they have a bar and a gym that have bottled water so it resulted in me having a a deliveroo as I won't drink tap water before that's not good though y should have water for emergencys that's not out a tap in the room.

Breakfast was very good, very diverse selection of food with different fruits, banana or strawberry shake, cereals, croissants, good scrambled eggs and other typical hot English breakfast items which was backfilled regularly. Staff - 2 ladies - in the breakfast room was super friendly, clean-up of tables very regularly.

Bathroom pretty old, toilet flushing was not working very well, room needs renovation. From a sustainability perspective one should consider to not use small volume packs for shampoo etc but install large multi-use packs. Charging of e-cars is not possible, for such a hotel it should be meanwhile standard to provide charging stations for e-cars.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was really comfortable, lovely soft carpet. Bed was a 3/4 bed. Take the back entrance and it takes your to to the Quays. Lovely pub nearby with live entertainment on the Quays. Great location for getting into town. Room nice and clean.

If I had to be critical, I would say that it would be better to offer a rate with or without the leisure facilities. We only had a quick overnight stay and didn't have time to take full advantage of this. It seems you have to pay for these facilities whether you want/have time for them or not. Only one pack of biscuits with 2 in to share between us seemed a bit mean. Thought we were getting a room with a view, turned out to be of the car park.

The staff were very friendly, reception, bar, restaurant, cleaner. Breakfast was excellent, bar area comfortable . We stayed in a balcony room. The bed and pillows were comfy, good quality bedding. We attended an event at Dom Valley Bowl, hotel was ideally located. Thanks to Vicky and Ellen in the restaurant for outstanding customer service.

Room 205, the carpet was very stained, needed shampooing. The duvet was stained, cleaner changed. Towel rack in shower loose, shower water pressure poor. As we booked via booking. com and not direct we had to pay £8 per night parking fee. Not worth £350 for 2 nights.

We enjoyed the experience but somewhat surprised the bedroom we had contained two double beds in it and based on the fact that we needed to do some reading in the room the lights were not bright, we had the neon light and desk lamp, which was nice but not appropriate for us to prepare our selves for our legal work.

Cant really say there was anything we didn't like but just some extra light in the room would have assisted us, the day at reception stated it was a refurbished room, so surprised to see that being missed.
