Great location, easy to plonk into the satnav. Massive benifit watching the video prior as made parking massively easier. It felt like a home in the room, not a hotel. Pub under the hotel so easy for beverages and spoons 2 min walk down the road that is really lovely. Easy phone is any issues. The whole system of checking in and out was simple. Back entrance is a good idea. Although on Saturday the band under in the pub is loud it finished at 10pm, so you can go out or pop some headphones on and watch a film.

Nothing really, Wi-Fi was a bit bad in my room, however that is being sorted.

Room was a good size and comfortable and bed was very comfortable. The location in relation to what we were visiting was good but did not like the actual location in the town.

Room restocked but not cleaned for second days stay which was disappointing. We knew there were no staff on site but info said there was housekeeping each day

Location was ideal for us, car parking right nearby, fab communication, although bar below is not connected, staff were friendly & helpful (very nice pub also) happy with room, very clean, nice little kitchenette area next door if needed, staff member did give us a knock next day to ask if we needed anything & if all was ok, we did leave early & didn't stay 2nd night but only as we decided to set off home in the early evening instead of early morning, we had a pleasant stay & would return

It didn't have a hairdryer but I understand it being an unstaffed hotel it would probably get stolen

This hotel was a real find and we had a great stay here. The room and the whole hotel were in a really clean and obviously cared for material state. We had the quadrupole room and it's size was perfect for our group, beds were extremely comfortable and the room well equipped. The location is great and you've got ample choice of pubs and food outlets nearby, although breakfast isn't available at the hotel the nearby Spoons (2 minute walk) is perfect. Special mention must go to the owner (Danny) who went over and above to help out, great communication and service. He clearly cares about his hotel and his guests, thank you. To sum up, a really well run and comfortable hotel in a great location. We would have cheerfully paid more for our stay and this place is highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere in the Barnsley area

Room was small but very clean, loved the fireplace feature! Perfect location to spend NYE with friends who live close by.

Understand that it's independent to the pub; however, would have been nicer to have access via the pub and not to have to go around the back alleyway!

Very pleasantly surprised with Churchills Hotel. Very clean room, ideally located, easy to use key collection system. A beautiful old building as well, very well done out. Easy to find, central location in Wombwell, 5 minutes walk from the buses. If you need to stay in Wombwell, I very highly recommend Churchills Hotel.

Cannot think of anything else that could be done better.

The unmanned hotel and self check in was new to me, but the information they provided and straight forward electronic key safe helped make the check in and check out process very smooth.

Better (triple or secondary) glazing would be a nice consideration for future refurb work in order to reduce noise from the two roads nearby

The room was very clean and well equipped. It was suitable for our needs for our stay. We arrived while the bar was still open and a member of bar staff was very helpful and helped us to obtain our room key from the key box.

There wasn't really anything that we didn't like. We were messaged by the hotel to explain the situation with reference to Staff onsite and the location of the hotel so we were well prepared.

Great hotel with a car parking All the bars and restaurants are all around you so not much walking to do. Had a great sleep the bed was so nice

Having to leave in room by 10am could have done with it been 11am
