The hotel is very nice, lovely to sit outside in the sunshine too. The staff were very friendly and very helpful especially the breakfast staff. The breakfast was excellent a very good choice of hot and cold food. We loved the whole spa experience and were impressed with the price for residents. Also the food was also very good in the dinning room and bar areas. We booked a twin room as two friends and it was nice and big with a table and two comfy chairs which was very nice to relax and chat. The beds were very comfortable.

Its only a small thing but we could have done with some glasses in the bedroom for water and the usb plugs didn't work in our room. Also the shower could do with an overall the water didn't come out very fast. But non of this will prevent us from returning.

The aesthetics inside and out were beautiful, grounds were well taking care of, and clear signage for walks etc. The beds were super comfortable and rooms a good size. The evening food was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised with the wide variety at breakfast which was also very tasty. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

There wasn't any clear signage from entrance to breakfast room. Lots of stairs up and down, bit of a maze getting to our room. The showers and locker room floors were filthy, covered in hair, it had been a busy day but basic cleanliness is essential for hygiene areas. The spa and gym area had no staff after 7pm when they don't close until 8pm which is concerning, one girl couldn't get into her locker and one of us had to go searching for staff for nearly 20 minutes to no avail, we ended up going to main reception for help. It's a major health and safety hazard. Imagine if there had been an emergency and no one around to help.

Beautiful manor clean very spacious wonderful grounds for a walk, loved the spa area, staff very friendly, lovely food in the restaurant. Breakfast very good choices and variety, I couldn’t fault the hotel at all.

The only thing was that kids ended coming in the Jacuzzi when we were in relaxing they had toys n playing. They were only small children from the age of around 3 to 6 and their parents allowed them in and the sauna n steam room too. There is rules in the wall but small writing, I think it should be made more clear for the age appropriate. A large sign stating no children.

Every single member of staff had a smile on their face and were happy to help. They were kind to our children found them something good draw on whilst waiting for food, which makes a big difference. Parking was easy, check in was easy (the staff gave us information on restaurants times, hotel facilities etc). Our room was clean and had easy access with the lift. Shower was great! No road noise even with the window open. Lovely and quiet. The facilities were really good, the pool was a good temperature and had lots of seating, the kids had a super time. They gave us towels when we went down there. We didn't have time to use the spa, but the treatment list looks great. The food was excellent, especially breakfast .. there wasn't anything they didn't have. Beautiful buildings too.

The room was way too hot and the radiator wouldn't turn down, so we had to open the window. There are no changing room cubicles at the pool, that's OK, but some people may feel uncomfortable or want to know in advance to get a robe to make it easier.

We really like the location. We had few climbing trips and this location made it easy. Also we are driving a electric car and we had good charging points near by made it so easy to navigate. Room was good size and it was lovely and clean. With a toddler on the go we needed extra bit of hekl from the house keeping team and they were very friendly and helpful. We also did few room service lunches. It was well put together ❤️ I cannot thank you all enough for making our stay such a peaceful bliss. Exactly what I wanted for this Christmas. Thank you again.

The historic building & surrounding grounds Thank you for the upgrade as well & I was able to bring my Pug fur baby as well which was great & even given a doggy goodie box which was a nice touch All your staff we encountered are lovely & the breakfast chef is really friendly & chatty which is great customer interaction. On arrival we were please to see ample parking spaces for the hotel guests. As we approached in the rain and mist, it set the right tone for our Halloween murder mystery event. The staff on arrival were friendly, really helpful and efficient. The room was larger than most twin rooms with traditional furniture including 2 armchairs and a coffee table. The TV was huge. The event was great and the 3 course set menu was lovely (there were 3 choices for each course). The stand out positive was definitely the staff, even the chamber maids were cheery and greeted us with a smile. The reception staff, the bar staff and the staff at breakfast were all genuinely nice.

The flag stones were a little slippy underfoot when wet. The lift was confusing. The alcoholic beverages seemed expensive, I know this isn't unusual in hotels but the feel of the place is so relaxed, it's feels more like a country pub so was taken aback when I was charged £24 for 2 double gins. the biggest negative for me was the firmness of the bed and the pillows.

A beautiful hotel, both exterior and interior. A warm welcome upon arrival, and upgraded room for our anniversary stay. Food was incredible at the restaurant, such amazing variety and choice of food, staff always so friendly. We had spa treatments on one day of our stay, great facilities, again friendly staff, and an amazing and relaxing treatment. Great location, over our 3 night stay, we visited a local farm, garden centre, shopping centre, one day drove a bit further to visit Bakewell. Great location, lots to do and see nearby. Thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable stay, would definitely recommend, and also visit again.

The staff were excellent and really helped make our stay enjoyable. They were friendly and helpful. We had a dog with. us and they say they are dog friendly. The dog was treated well with treats and a 'gift pack'. The food was fine - it was of a decent pub food standard not fine dining.

It was nice having a pool and spa facilities, but the pool is small (12m) and as it was a bank holiday it was pretty. overcrowded, with people booking spa treatments as well as hotel guests. People leaving paper cups from the water fountain about didn't add to the overall look of the place either. As it was muddy outside, and it was in the countryside a boot scraper or two would have been handy.

Very comfortable and clean room. Exceptionally quiet, very relaxing stay

Two things: 1) There was no conditioner in the provided container on the wall of the shower (bottle was empty) 2) On the morning of our departure there was a lot of broken glass in the carpark right by our car. It looked like broken car window glass (can only assume that a car had perhaps got broken into but as there was no car by the broken glass I'm not sure.) Anyway, I had no choice but to drive over it. My car tyres were fine, but I was worried as I had a toddler with me too. I think it should have been tended to as it was on hotel premises.
