32deg C daytime temperature with the evening cooling down to 25deg C and there was a “Tog30” quilt on the bed with no top sheet!??? We booked a table for 19:15 on the evening of our stay. Food was ordered drinks served food arrived but was short of items eg: the salmon on a bed of noodles with a mild curry sauce and prawn crackers arrived with no sauce or prawn crackers when brought to the attention of the waitress she went to investigate and returned saying they’ve run out of curry sauce and prawn crackers????? That was it no alternative . Quality controls nil No reduction or alternative meal offered. Poor standard for such a nice place.

The view we had from our room was amazing to say it was one of the cheaper rooms. The views from the outdoor terrace were gorgeous, enjoyed a lovely sunset here on one of our nights. All of the staff were very quick and attentive, all very friendly and kept the place up to a high standard. The breakfast included in the price was very good, staff were accommodating to dietary requirements and all of the food we had was all tasty and quickly made. Would 100% come back and will be recommending to friends, family and colleagues! I was also surprised at the size of the playground for the children who visit/stay as well, I’d happily bring my children here next time!

The only downside was it was an old building so could hear other guests walking around at night/early morning but didn’t affect how beautiful the place is!

The staff are the stars at Cubley. Followed by the full English breakfast and the Salmon with scrambled egg. The scrambled egg was easily the nicest I’ve had for a while, and the sausage with the Full English was a whopper, of sound quality. The room was in good order, warm, bed comfy. Thoughtful tea/coffee/biscuits tray.

The bathroom sink was a very slow drainer. I’d say it needs a podge and some soda crystals. The toilet was also a fussy flush, but these would not preclude me from staying there again. In fact, I am! 😁

This hotel from arriving looked amazing well kept lovley surroundings. On entering the bar we were met by very friendly helpful staff that took us tonour rooms. They were very clean and nicely set out we also looked at the family room that was a good space livley room. Only bad comment was my autistic son was unhappy there was poor Internet food was amazing beds comfy. Rooms had kettle and hot drinks couldnt ask for more itvwas ideal

This is my third stay at this hotel and it always lives up to my expectations. The bar and dining facilities were out of use in the main building due to flooring renovations. They have a facility onsite called `The Barn` which was used for dining and drinks during my say. This facility was superb. Drinks at the bar are reasonably priced and the food was wonderful as always. The bedroom was warm, nicely decorated and comfortable. The shower was powerful. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I will be returning in April and I can't wait!

We chose a small room - and for us, it was too cramped. The web image was very so we knew what to expect. We have a small cramped bedroom at home... but this managed to squeeze more into a smaller space & moving round the double bed was very difficult. As a single person room it would have been fine. We enjoyed every other aspect - and may well stay again... but would make sure we had a different bedroom!

The location was lovely, right on the edge of the village, so it was quite the peaceful stay. The view from the gardens was beautiful. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food good with breakfast included. Good value for money

There was two of us using the room for one night. We only had one single use shower gel, one shampoo and one conditioner, why not two. What was the other person supposed to use? The reception desk is buried at the back of the bar, so not easy to see. You would expect it to be near the entrance for convenience rather than standing in no mans land waiting for a member of staff to assist you. Took the staff a little while to help, but when they did, they were helpful and efficient.

The breakfast quality was excellent, however it could have included fruit and yoghurt.

I knew I had booked a small double but I assumed that referred to the size of the bed and not the size of the room. The space between the end of the bed and the wall was really narrow and I had to walk sideways to get passed. Unfortunately the bedside cabinet and light were on the side which meant having to squeeze out every time I got out of bed!

we had our dinner with friends in the resturant and breakfast the following morning. All excellent, nice waitress very helpful and friendly. Room was newly decorated and tastefully done.

Nothing I could fault for the price, location and room. Only 1 potential problem for anyone who's not fully able bodied and that's the bath. it is a nice shower over the bath and lovely and new, however the bath is quite abit higher than is standard, so it's quite a step over and down onto the floor. so I would advise maybe another room... But that is the only vibe.

I felt welcomed. I was cycling the Trans Pennine Trail, and left after work in Manchester and arrived at 9:15pm. They showed me to a locked garage to store my bike in. The kitchen was closed, but they checked what there was that didn't need cooking, so I had two desserts and a pint of beer that barely touched the sides. I liked the breakfast and I overheard a couple of other guests asking for simple things that weren't on the menu but were achievable, and they got them.

I think there was a sixth form leavers party or similar on, but it didn't go on very late
