Good location, the carpark opposite is cheap and there are local shops within a stones throw from the property. The room itself was decent, although having the shower in the room was a little strange at first! My only concern here was that there didn't appear to be any ventilation for moisture from the shower? The staff were polite and helpful and we had no issues checking in or out. When we did have to ask questions, the hosts were very responsive and friendly :)
The room was quite dark and the main light in the room gave off very little light - there was a couple of bedside lamps which did help with this. The bed did creak a little so that kept my partner awake as they shifted in the night. Despite signs asking guests to be quiet as they came and went, there were several loud people coming in quite late in the night speaking very loudly / on the phone. As we were on the ground floor, we basically heard everyone that came in which was really annoying. The property also has motion activated lights which is good from an eco POV, however, they all seem to activate together - so the garden light was going on and off frequently which was a bit frustrating.

Really good communication from the owner and easy check in. The bedroom, shower rooms and hallways etc were very clean and smelt fresh. Good quality bedding. There was a fan in the bedroom which was essential in the warm weather and a fridge. The area seemed very quiet and was convenient to walk to John Smith's stadium and the town centre. Good value for money. Would stay again.
Top floor room 5 is in the roof and could be a little small for tall people but we managed fine.

Being welcomed by the owner was a plus and knowing I had her phone number in case of difficulties, being a woman on my own, was good. It was very accessible to the town and the station on foot. I appreciated having my bed made & room cleaned in between the days of my stay. The room was very quiet, so I was able to sleep well.
Wifi didn’t work, so I couldn’t watch the TV. A woman tried to get into the main entrance without a key. There was a sign saying: Don’t let anyone in without a key. She was a bit rude to me, because I wouldn’t let her in as I was going out for the evening.

Fantastic location, EXTREMELY close to town but far enough away so you had no noise. The beds were extremely comfortable so I slept like a baby. Bathroom was lovely and clean and the view from our window we could see the Huddersfield fc stadium. Very cool! The staff were also incredible in their communication with us. Would definitely stay again.
My only criticism would be lack of parking. But the pay and display opposite is extremely cheap and free after 6pm.

My 2nd stay at the townhouse and a different room. Both of the rooms I spent the nights in were spotless and fresh smelling clean bed linen and towels . Again the bed was comfortable. I was greeted by the manager Joan this morning and she is such a people's person. She feels like you've known her for years. It's very homely and I can not fault anything. As a carer from abroad who works in the UK I've spent many a night in the premier inns ect and this beats them. I think they manager and her team should be very proud of themselves 10/10
Nothing. Could not find fault with anything

Great location, only minutes walk from centre of town, but still quiet. Cheap parking in the car park opposite. Comfortable, clean and reasonably priced.
Showers (or at least the one I used on the 1st floor) was a bit cold, although this wasn’t a problem with the one in my daughter’s room. Also the timers on the motion detector controlled lights in the bathroom were set to around 10 seconds, meaning that if you don’t keep moving then it suddenly gets very dark in there! Good energy saving but 30 seconds to a minute would be better.

We had a large room on ground floor. It was a freezing weekend but the room was lovely & warm. Shower was handy in the room with plenty of hot water. Our room was clean & bed very comfortable. The owners were friendly & helpful. Giving us details of a reliable taxi firm too. Location is excellent for Huddersfield town centre & station. Will definitely want to stay here again when we're in this area.
TV was a little temperamental at times.

Unexpectedly friendly staff, very accommodating, concerned about my needs and desires! The place was perfect for my work, quiet, big room, clean bathrooms and plenty of towels!!!
Maybe the smell of the cleaning detergent if I really have to find a - . But that is personal 🤣. Thank God it was clean!!

spacious and spotlessly clean in Deluxe room with shower and basin, separate toilets and shower outside the room for sharing with other customers. big council carpark just opposite the house within 5 minutes walk. The room is cool as the fan is on and the window is open before you arrived in hot weather, well ready for your stay.
only if you don't like sharing toilet with others

Only stayed one night as we went to a gig but it was a very clean and comfortable stay, the beds were super comfortable and although it was a shared bathroom, we had no issues at all, there were two separate bathrooms with a toilet and a shower in, both clean and well looked after. Joan was also lovely too! Great value for money and just over a 5 minute walk from the train station and centre!
