Bit of a last minute booking because another place cancelled on us, so it was great to find a fog friendly place to stay. Really lovely place in a great location, the staff were absolutely wonderful and so friendly. We had a couple of drinks in the lovely bar and if we weren't so tired we would've tried out dinner too because it looked amazing. We've both said we will definitely come back and stay a bit longer. The room was perfect, so clean and comfortable and the water pressure and temperature on the shower was incredible!! Parking was just behind the building, pay and display but cheap and easy to do on an app. Great place, thank you to the staff!

We stayed at The Milestone last night and had a lovely afternoon and evening. The staff and customers were friendly and very welcoming. The locals praised the food and staff highly (which is a good sign) and we did not disagree. Our room was clean, modern and quiet. We had everything we needed. The main menu was wide and the food was really good. We finished the evening off listening to a singer who was also very good. Breakfast was FABULOUS, cannot fault it and our puppy got a sausage too. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely return. A big thank you to Andy, and all the staff.

There was nothing we didn’t like. It was great.

Breakfast was excellent, good quality ingredients The bed looked as though it had been made out of fence posts and packing crates, absolutely loved it and one of the comfiest beds ever slept in. Excellent powerful shower. I used the public car park at the rear of the milestone which I at first thought was a bit inconvenient but then realised it was only £2 parking all day, with easy access to the hotel it turned out fine.

Nowhere to put my wash bag in the bathroom which was slightly inconvenient. Due to my room being right next to the main road it could be a bit noisy if you want the window open but remarkably quite if you keep them closed.

location is nice pub is very nice cosy feel beautifully situated by the river shops in a convenient place within walking distance landlord very nice extremely helpful and genuine person room was amazing great size including a kitchen with washing machine

at the present time there is no food available at the pub however the landlord has only recently taken over the premises and was kind enough to explain which were out of his hands it's not a complaint and don't be put off from staying as there our other places within walking distance that serve food as what was explained to me. lf you are disabled access may be a problem is all l can say please check first

Stayed last night and enjoyed a meal and drinks as well. Food was absolutely delicious! Gorgeous fish and chips and the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever eaten 🤤 my husband said the steak was the best steak he’d ever had - even better than a well known restaurant chain. Breakfast was delicious too and filled us up for the day. Our room was beautifully decorated, cosy and comfortable and was surprisingly quiet despite being on the main road. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and did a great job. Both myself and my husband were very impressed and will definitely come and stay again!

Our room was nice and very clean. The cooked breakfast was delicious. The staff were warm friendly and inviting.

The lighting in our room was very dull, I had to hold the torch light on my phone whilst my partner had a shave and he had to do the same for me why I applied my make up. The room was very chilly in the evenings and no option for heating. A second mornings breakfast was a hamper which unfortunately the content wasn’t for me the porridge was with syrup which I don’t like and the Alpen bars were notto my liking I find them very sweet so I didn’t have breakfast the second morning plus there was only one chair in our bedroom so to have breakfast one of us would have to sit on the bed!

Food was superb. Only time an English breakfast is served is on a Saturday and Sunday. We had a continental breakfast delivered to our room during our stay in the week. Half board deal allows you £15 per head in the evening and you pay for any extra costs over the amount. Pub is on a main road so there is traffic noise but we got used to it. Car park is behind the pub so there are steps to the accommodation and it is a paid carpark but we had a disabled badge. No real complaints but we wouldn't go again.

Due to traffic we arrived late ie after kitchen had shut. We had pre ordered en route, so were expecting, and would have been happy with, food kept warm. But to our delight the kitchen staff had stayed on and cooked our order on arrival. Can't ask for more than that. Only thing I would say is breakfasts left outside your room overnight , which contained ham, cheese and butter, may not be best idea in height of summer. Owner was very lovely and bent over backwards to help us . Definitely stay again.

Spent a night at The Milestone for a well needed getaway. The accommodation was exactly what we needed, with contemporary interior and lovely views out onto the hills. The entertainment brought a chilled vibe to some classic songs whilst having our evening meal which was nothing short of outstanding. A good selection of lagers, warm pork scratchings and such a welcoming host in Andy made this a top quality experience for me. We will definitely be returning and recommending this pub to others!

Staff were really helpful , accomodation lovely rooms , clean and hamper continental breakfast weekdays was great , The restaurant opened at 4pm and so we had a great meal , pasta was exceptional , service brilliant.Really helpful , Recommended a taxi firm to book to take us into Halifax for a concert at The Piece Hall , Parking behind the pub at public car park , safe and convenient free parking for 72 hrs . Ideally located in small village about 20 mins from Halifax . Recommend for a comfortable stay , contemporary rustic rooms , good shower and facilities , Bistro pub with 7 rooms , great value and breakfast included.They do cooked breakfasts at weekends apparently , but the hamper with continental was brilliant .as we were heading off early .
