The whole pub is lovely, walking through the front door, you step back in time to a lovely traditional pub. Warm and welcoming. With a good range of beers and lagers . Cheryl the land lady gave us a warm welcome, and explained everything we needed to know . The pub suited our needs for the weekend, it is a 30 second walk away from the minster where we were attending a Brass band festival. There is a car park right outside so you can leave your car with piece of mind that it is safe . There was entertainment on Saturday afternoon, which was very good , and we were also able to watch the rugby . Although the pub doesn't do Breakfast, it does do a great selection in Pies and Peas . However there is a Residents kitchen upstairs that can be used should you wish to bring your own food to cook.. Just tidy up after your selves. The room we stayed in was beautiful, spacious and warm and tastefully decorated. Comfy beds , and clean linen . Intact all of the residents facilities, are lovely the Bathroom has an amazing power shower as well as a bath . Will we back ?? Most definitely, we have had a wonderful stress free weekend. Cheryl and her staff are lovely and we would recommend the Ring o Bells to our friends.

We liked that it was so close to the Piece Hall for the concert we were going to. Also, we loved we could sit at the pub and have some drinks before the concert and have some food from a little chicken place that was parked outside.

Only down side really was the fact it was a shared bathroom and I didn’t realise that when booking. Also, although the bed was comfy after laying a towel over the mattress the springs really stick out into your ribs. Could do with some new mattresses and bedding. Other than that it was fab!

We enjoyed our stay in The Ring O'Bells. Room was clean, comfortable. The staff were nice and very helpful. It was all what we needed. The pub is just 5 min walking distance from the center, shops and The Piece Hall.

There isn't big car park for people staying in the pub. We had a feeling people going shopping are trying to park there. Luckily there is a big car park just cross the road for £12.50 for 24 hours. You have to share a bathroom so if you need to go toilet at night , you have to leave the room but we knew about it during the booking so it wasn't such a problem for one night.

We liked the old style pub and it felt like we was back home in Yorkshire. It was nice to have our room ready early as this made a difference as My wife Adele was not well during the trip. We planned the trip for a day out and to also see what the rooms are like for future trips when we go and visit my mum and brother in Queensbury. The Trainstation and Piece Hall are all in walking distance along with the city center. The Bedroom was very tidy and pleasant it had a TV and plenty of plug sockets around the room. There was a kitchen which could be used for making drinks,food,etc is long as you left it clean. The Bathroom and Shower room as very clean we had no problems during our 1 night stay and we both look forward to arriving back next year.

To be honest there was nothing we did'nt like probably enjoyed if we could stay more days but due to work shifts we unable to stay longer.

Location for Piece Hall excellent. Staff were very friendly. The room, although fairly basic, was comfortable and clean. Perfect if staying overnight after a live event.

Overall it was fine for our needs. With a bit more attention to a few minor and easy to fix details it could be even better eg. Toilet paper ran out in the shared bathroom and we couldn't find any (staff not on site overnight). Instructions said leave used towels in laundry bin provided but there wasn't one.

No food provided but there was toiletries provided. The bathroom and bedroom was clean, spacious and of a standard superior to the rates charged. On a comparison the franchises competing on similar rates, Ring O' Bells was far superior quality. There was speedy free Wifi (unlike paid Wifi at Travel Lodge) and I also had free use of the laundry room and kitchen - a genuine bonus given I was traveling light and wanted to wash and iron my clothes. I also enjoyed the planning to discontinue serving customers at 10pm nightly in the bar for the benefit of paying night stay guests. I was worried that my sleep pattern could be disturbed by late evening drinkers but this was not the case. Also, I was entrusted with a key for access to the property and trust was evident from the friendly managers.

Nothing to dislike about the property.

Well!...it was only 12 minutes away from the centre of brighouse which is where we were attending the 1940s yearly event. so worked out perfectly.

There wasn't much we didn't like apart from just a few little touches that would have made it perfect.. for instance..there wasn't the usual small Chester draws or a chair and table..so every thing more or less was kept in our bags or on the floor ..the bed side lamp was way too near your head and bright and very little room on bed side tops too move..tv..kinda worked...no towels any where bathroom or kitchen too dry up...overall..the size of the room was great...and the bathroom and kitchen were brilliant...two pillows would also been appreciated...did like the little bar of beer n crisp which were optional to buy...but again need to be put on a small table with maybe a kettle/coffee..as it was quite awkward bringing the hot drinks from the kitchen through the corridor and doors.

I like the set out of the bathroom it was big, it had a vast choice of showers and a bath great service. The staff was very friendly

I didn’t like the idea of the hotel being next to the church. The bell bongs every hour of the day during my sleep, it can get very annoying lol especially in the mornings. I had to keep the windows closed so that it deteriorates away the noise it had helped a bit with my sleep.

Great location,easy to get to, a very friendly lady showed me my room ,explained about the keys The room was a good size ,bedding was clean,looked a bit crumpled but I think it might have meant to,the crisps and pop offered was a nice touch ,would have preferred wine or beer

There was only one towel in the room,it meant I had to take the large bath towel ,with me every time I washed my hands in the shared bathroom, no hair dryer, no bags in any of the bins any where ,room , bathroom or kitchen,no information on how to contact any one in case of an emergency,the pub was only open the night I checked in only two pillows on the bed,only the bed to sit on in the room,if I was to take advantage of the kitchen,I would have had to eat on the bed,there is room for a small bistro set

Great value and staff were very helpful. The place is so quirky and we really wanted to not find fault. The place is very old and the people running it are making changes which is clear to see. The beds were terrible they needed to be skipped straight away.

The overall cleanliness was quite poor it could have done with a real good clean and sorting. You could see they’d been busy but let it down overall.
