I stayed at the hotel for a wedding reception. Whilst the parking on actual hotel grounds is very limited, they told me that there was a large carpark just over the road (easy to see on Google maps). All the staff were great especially Roshan who made everyone feel very welcome & comfortable. Room was clean and comfy, it got a little warm in the night but opening the windows sorted that out. The bar was very reasonably priced indeed, & the beer (Shipyard IPA) was good. Breakfast was nice & served up pretty quickly by a friendly chatty lady. Overall, a very nice stay.

Only one thing, the key cards were sometimes faulty. I had to change mine once, a friend had to do it a couple of times.

We were looking for an economical overnight stay on our way travelling to see relatives. We arrived at 8pm and were very impressed with smooth check in, easy parking, very professional and friendly reception staff (evening and morning) and a neat and clean little room. (Good wi-fi too, which is unusual.) We weren't expecting an amazing location but the hotel was in a peaceful road with plenty of trees and green spaces, a nearby shop and easy to access from motorways. We hadn't planned on having any meals as we were leaving promptly in the morning but the facilities looked good. This was an unexpectedly relaxing night in a very clean place with great staff. The venue was surprising - big and well equipped, nice comfortable room and friendly atmosphere. Staff were all very good, however special credit to Calum, who served us both for dinner (food was pretty good) and breakfast, with the same sunny friendly demeanour on both occasions.

It was a shame not to be closer together as requested - but we did book late so this is understandable. Parking was reasonably limited on site but we were able to park nearby easily. Wi-fi was passable for an included service, however not strong enough for us to watch a film - we had to hot-spot for this - so this would be my only negative on the hotel.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is wonderful but if you choose not to eat here there are plenty of places nearby. The hotel has a family welcome feel and the staff will help you any way they can. Parking is onsite and there is additional parking on the road or in a specific area across from the hotel so no issues parking. Coffee, tea and milk are in the room, hairdryer, soap, shampoo and conditioner. You just have to ask for an iron and board and they bring it straight to the room. They do hold weddings, party’s etc.. if they are on an evening they stop at midnight. There were a couple whilst I was there and there was no trouble with noise at all. I have stayed here a good few times and it will always be my choice if I am in the area.

The staff were brilliant especially Colin, Callum and Simon. Nothing was too much bother. They accommodate an early check in for you. There was a coach trip on so they made sure to tell us when they would be coming down for breakfast to avoid any long wait times. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking was a little right especially the disabled spot to get out of but there was plenty which is great and it was free

It’s location was perfect for me. I was visiting family near by. Rooms were spotlessly clean and tidy. I have used the hotel before and do enjoy staying there.

Security. Access to the accommodation from reception is not secure. I arrived back at the hotel at 8.45pm I walked in Reception was empty, I walked to the door entrance to the rooms and went upstairs. I could have been anyone just walking in off the street. As alone female traveller I felt a little vulnerable and apprehensive about this.

We moved from our usual hotel that we use when visiting grandparents to here as the room was no longer suitable for 4 children. We are very pleased with the upgrade and it was value for money. Large spacious room with beds for 2 adults and 2 children. Excellent free parking and plenty of overflow. Very quiet Sunday to Tuesday, not a sound and good solid walls and doors. Friendly staff and easy check-in and check-out. Breakfast smelt amazing even though we didn’t have anything, probably will next time. It has everything you need here for a good feed or beverage. Very good beds for a 3 star hotel.

The extractor fan in room 25 didn’t work and this seems to be a common problem, the bathroom steams up and the mirrors are unusable. Could lead to mould buildup. The mirrors are not fully attached and hung, the one on the back of the bathroom door is not child friendly. Sadly no lift although it was only a short flight of stairs, could be an issue for disabled access.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Excellent fresh cooked breakfast - so much better than buffet breakfasts from some larger hotel chains. Useful to have EV charge point available. Food was very good (evening meal) and bar very reasonable.

There was a smell in the wardrobe of the bedroom which suggested there may have been a fire at some point. A slightly larger desk in the room would have been helpful for working at the laptop. Otherwise great.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room fine and bathroom well-fitted. Limited parking outside but plenty within 50 metres. Breakfast very good.

Apart from one evening during our stay when the restaurant was closed for a private function, on other nights hardly anyone used the restaurant. The food was good on the two occasions we had dinner in the restaurant, but the menu was rather limited.

Friendly receptionist who checked us in after a very late checkin with tired young children. The waitress at breakfast - very polite and friendly. The food at breakfast was very good - best hash browns I have ever had.

The stairs to the room. With a bad back and diastasis recti climbing upstairs with a heavy suitcase was not ideal. Our rooms were on different floors - would have liked for them to be close.
