We enjoyed our stay and restaurant staff especially Callum who made an extra effort to offer us a quiet area for us to have our evening meal due to my youngest daughter who has Autism. We greatly appreciate his kindness and great service. The food was in generous portion. Lovely spacious, clean bedroom and superb breakfast!!

The swimming pool :(. The gym staff provided1/4 area for the family swim whilst 3/4 for lane swimmers considering there were 3-4 lane swimmers in contrast to 3 families (with 2 children each) crowding in the 1/4 family swim lane. He later changed it into 1/2 for each but there's only 1 lane swimmer using half of the pool compared to 4 families with 2 children each.

The reception staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Jess booked us in and gave us all the information we required for a pleasant stay. Rooms are a good size, very comfortable, rooms have everything you need for a good night's sleep. Bathroom/showers are lovely. Great shower, good size with plush toiletries included. The area itself that the hotel is situated in, is very easy to get to, and situated directly on/off the motorway, yet once at the hotel the grounds and ambience gives it a very countryside feeling. Outside areas for smoking are well equipped with ash trays and seating areas/tables. We didn't use the pool/leisure facilities on this visit but lots of visitors appeared to be using the gym, pool etc which all looked to standard and very inviting. We ate in the restaurant for an evening meal, food really enjoyable and good quality and prices are reasonable. Breakfast was excellent. Choice of cereals, pastries, breads, spreads, fruits, cheese, ham and a cooked English. Which was delicious! Would definitely stay here again. This was my 3rd time staying here, and again I was not disappointed whatsoever.

The breakfast was excellent. Full English available, with fresh fruit, juices, delicious. We had our dog with us, and he was well catered for, even able yo sit with us at meal times.

There were a number of flagged steps up from the car parks to the hotel. Some flags were loose and need attention, as they could be dangerous. Plus they were not lit during dark hours, which made them difficult to navigate. There were no handrails either. The garden areas surrounding the car parks were lovely, but were spoiled by being littered in the hedgerows. This unsightly litter actually spoiled considerably an otherwise good looking hotel.

We only stayed for 1 night wish we had stayed longer. Staff all very helpful and friendly Demi gave us a room with a bath as requested and ground floor. The hotel is exceptionally clean everywhere. The pool facilities were excellent with helpful staff in the gym supplying towels for your swim. We had an evening meal there that was part of their fine dining and would definitely recommend. The breakfast was amazing very fresh beautiful sausages, lovely lady cooking fresh eggs which ever way you would like them. Could not fault the hotel in any way staff all very young but I have never seen such maturity in people so young and they run it very well 😀

I had a pleasant stay ,the staff were polite and helpful.Im a keen swimmer and made use of the ample sized pool.On this occasion i didnt venture into the bar but a walk through looked inviting clean and tidy.The breakfast catered for most pallets and i enjoyed the traditional help yourself all English ,another plus bacon cooked well and crispy to my liking.Keep up the good work.

The carpark though large and ample had quite a few pot holes especially at the front entrance which needed attension.Also after giving my registration I was plauged with fine letters from parking eye and some to the end stati previous wins with parking fine which felt on the boarder lines of intimidation especially when I was a paying resident ,I feel they need to sharpen thier forms or systems to ensure this dosent happen again.And if they are charging £60 to £ 100 fine for said illegal parking perhaps the monies should be used for upkeep of the tarmac ,personally i feel they should pay me to park there to hide some of the pot holes. Nothing detracts from my lovely stay but parking eye you have soured me alittle with your to say the least underhand tactics.

We have stayed here numerous times in the last 11 years. It is near to Halifax which is where my late husband grew up. The location is great and just off of the motorway. It is consistently perfect for us and professional. The staff are welcoming, kind, friendly and communication is great. A bit short staffed one evening in the restaurant but it didn't matter to us as the staff were communicating well and the children nipped off to the play area. Food was great, rooms were amazing, excellent staff, facilities were perfect, parking couldn't be simpler. Its a great all round hotel & we love it here.

That we had to book a time slot for swimming which was not so easy with 12 of us. Plus on one day we weren't advised the pool was booked out for aqua fit! So we didn't have long. If thats the only negative, albeit so minor, then I am perfectly happy with that and would take that every time.

All staff polite, friendly, professional and attentive. This included reception staff, bar staff and restaurant staff. Thank you. Room was good size. Very clean. Welcoming and comfortable bar area.

Instant coffee sachets in the room - could coffee bags be considered? Not keen on the big shared shampoo/shower gel bottles but appreciate this is for environmental reasons. Perhaps have small shower gel etc available on check in (complimentary) as not everyone would want them but if they’re in the room they will likely take them!

Staff are always lovely, the curry was sensational in the restaurant so good I had it twice. My children love coming here, and always feel welcomed and as a family we enjoy our stay. It's great having use of the spa, though if you are a family you need to book in to use the pool. The beds are always comfy and clean and the rooms are quiet. The bar has a friendly and nice atmosphere and the children's play area is a great resource as well as the books to borrow, really makes this feel like a place we want to stay.

The breakfast juice is like Fruitshoot squash now, so apple squash and a poor quality orange, I know this has been a since COVID change but it's a real shame as it spoils the breakfast- especially if you don't like tea and coffee, before covid the breakfast was delicious, and I wonder how much gets wasted now the quality of cold meats, cheese, and juices has changed, people just leave it, or if your regulars like us won't have it. The Jacuzzi is heavily chlorinated, which is too much for my eyes

Was super accommodating and allowed us to move rooms to be close to the rest of our family. Really friendly and beautiful facilities. Due to attend a wedding in June and wasn’t sure whether to stay over, definitely booking a room now!

Breakfast was lovely although we attended when it was pretty quiet at 9.00 and found the cooked breakfast particularly the scrambled eggs were really hard on top from being sat under the heat lamps but that is just being super picky the rest was delicious

Comfy bed. Clean room. Plenty of parking including disabled. Breakfast items good quality, however I refer to my negative comments regarding breakfast.

Bar prices for a not very good pinot grigio are stupidly high. It's not London! Long wait at the bar as no staff present! Breakfast used to be really good. Unfortunately now the standard has dropped. Guests were cleaning and clearing tables as not enough staff. No pastries available, toaster burning on one side, untoasted on the other. £12 is expensive for self service.
