All of the staff we interacted with were very nice - the bar, breakfast room, maintenance staff. However, the reception staff were particularly helpful and extremely friendly without being overly effusive which suited us very well. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was fantastic - and wide choice of items, a good range of gluten free foods and the food was hot and well cooked. The meal we ate in the Inkwell Restaurant was tasty and good value for money. The electric car charing and overnight parking was simple to use and good value for money.

Only having one working lift was slightly inconvenient but that could not be helped.

Good central location but also peaceful, easy walking distance from the station. A nice, light and airy, modern room with a comfortable bed and good shower in the bathroom. The lounge/bar/restaurant was really nice.

Only 1 lift in operation during the stay meant a long wait at times. The stairs were used on several occasions, but it wasn't a really big deal. My main gripe was the poor quality of the cooked food at breakfast time. Sausages were very poor quality and the lukewarm scrambled egg had clearly been sitting on the hotplate far too long. No other choice of eggs available either. This was a poor effort by the kitchen.

Amazing hotel! Fantastic value for money!!!! Great helpful staff, Massive rooms and it has everything you need. From cleanliness to ironing board, clean great bathroom, complimentary drinks and refreshments, great beds... the only thing missing was a fridge BUT it was such an amazing room, that wasn't even required. I absolutely loved my stay.

Toilet is too close, directly behind the door doesnt make sense to have it so close... No fridge but that doesn't even matter because this is probably the best hotel and its priced so good... W hotel 10/10 Wouldn't stay anywhere else, would recommend to everyone

Excellent large, spacious room. Staff complete a personal emergency plan for all disabled guests, so all needs and support are met as required. Comfortable beds, kettle, large television, and complimentary teas, coffees, and biscuits, with bottles of water on arrival in your room - refillable on request either with reception or asking cleaning staff. My wife discovered she was pregnant while there! The staff were ecstatic when we told them that if it is a boy, then he would be called Clayton🤣🤣.

No complaints at all. I would highly recommend the Clayton Hotel in Leeds. Excellent for anybody wanting a family atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff, who go out of their way to keep you smiling.

The staff are friendly- the lady that checked us in was fantastic! The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of storage. The shower room was nice and a good size. The curtains were blackout so had a great sleep. The breakfast was good, there was variety and all fresh.

The radiator in the room made a terrible noise (I think it needs bleeding) so we turned it off. Some idiot set off the smoke alarm (smoking in the room) which wasn’t ideal being suddenly woke up at around 2am - although not a negative towards the property as pleased to know in a serious situation the alarm works!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. From the very start when we spoke to the staff, they were all polite, friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. They recommended bars to visit and gave us details of good restaurants. In the bar and the dining room the excellent service continued. The staff again were courteous, helpful and respectful. We did go to breakfast quite late but even so we were treated really well. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay here again. Great service all round!!

Maybe being a bit closer to the city centre but we chose the hotel

The location of the hotel was excellent for getting into the city. Grest breakfast with a large range of choices. The room was oustandingly clean and very large. As a waliing disabled customer, the staff go out of their way to ensure that disabled needs are met 100%. The hotel carries out a personal emergency plan to ensure disability needs are completely met. My wife discovered that she was pregnantt while there, and the satff were so supportive and overjoyed when we told them that, if the birth is a boy, our baby will be called 'Clayton.'

We have no complaints about this hotel.

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, the bedroom and bathroom were really clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had !

The only thing I could say was that the shower was not the best design if I wanted to avoid washing my hair. The rain shower is lovely but I couldn’t avoid getting my hair wet and holding the alternative shower head doesn’t leave my hands free for hair washing ! Is it just me ?!

Breakfast was good, with selection of fruits, juices, hot meal, egg options, and various coffees/teas. Only comment would be that an option of wholemeal artisan bread would be appreciated (not just standard factory wholemeal bread). Customers using toaster for croissants, (despite warning notice not to) causing extreme smoke / burning smells, and luckily there was no fire Check in at reception was a little chaotic, with large group of Africans with lots of screaming children leaving. Male reception staff all appeared to be dishevelled, and dressed scruffily, as opposed to the smartly dressed female reception staff. This did not give a good first impression of the hotel. Parking payment machine is not user friendly, with insufficient information on payment and retrieving receipt slip Confusion over pricing as did not see any pricing information, and reception provided contradictory information on charges. Parking was safe and secure. Hotel just a 5 minute walk to town centre

Lack of accessible towel rail in shower room. Only rail was above toilet, so high, partner could not reach it/use it

A quiet room for a restful night above the city. Loved the roomy bathroom and being able to take a bath or shower. The comfort of the room. arriving late and leaving before breakfast it was great to have tea AND biscuits in my room, Prompt reception response and service provision when I realised the TV remote batteries must have run down. Comfortable mattress! Easy access to train station by foot, though I should have allowed 20 minutes plus to actually get into the station and onto the right platform!

The pillows were very firm and unyielding and gave me a stiff neck. A slight annoyance that no-one checks that the TV remote batteries have power. It takes longer than stated to walk to the station with your luggage on wheels factored in
