Art hostel was cozy and attentive to the needs of a solo traveller. Plenty of showers, cute and safe rooms, and a perfect light breakfast available. The staff were super friendly and helped me navigate Leeds.
Only downside is that it was night next to the highway, so ambient noise during the night was hard to miss, but I slept just fine regardless.

I love this hostel! I stay here multiple times whenever I'm in Leeds, I don't have a bad thing to say about the place. This time around I stayed because I was running the Leeds Marathon over the weekend; I let them know this prior to arriving. I booked to stay here for 2 nights, and booked a dorm room. When I arrived however to check-in, to my surprise I was given one of the private rooms, double bed and private shower etc. In hindsight, this was amazing and just what I needed given my marathon weekend, preparing for the day and recovering after. It was so unexpected but I couldn't be happier.
Really don't have any negatives at all.

This is my second time here and first time alone. I felt so safe here on my own and very at home. My bed was ADORABLE like a tree trunk with a bed inside it The staff were so kind, friendly, and attentive. Everything is clean and everyone picks up after themselves
Nothing I loved my stay so much. Last time I stayed the sheets were a bit thin so I brought my blanket in with me but this time the room and my bed felt like the perfect temperature. I'd reccomend bringing your own pillow and blanket incase you want as the pillows are thin (perfect for folding though)

I had a pleasant stay at the Art Hostel in Leeds. I appreciated that the bed was made and ready for me upon arrival. The hand towels in the bathroom and the number of showers available were excellent. The kitchen was spacious, well-equipped, and offered good tools and supplies. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, providing clear instructions during check-in. I really liked the hostel's art concept—it gives the place a unique and creative vibe. I’d definitely consider staying again!
The bed was a bit too hard for my comfort, which affected my sleep. Also, I think the cleanliness could be improved, particularly with the bedsheets and the fridge, which could use more regular cleaning. With a few tweaks in cleanliness and upkeep, the overall experience could be even better and more welcoming.

The properly is well looked after, the staff were helpful, welcoming and above all the rooms were clean. I love the kitchen and the amenities provided there. I may not help myself with breakfast this time, however, it was beyond my expectations to find a good kitchen, to help myself with foods and to relax with tea or coffee after a long day at work. The bathrooms and toilets were clean and I’m glad there was 24hours supply of hot and cold water in the bathrooms. I would highly recommend this place and I would always choose this place whenever I’m working in Leeds.

The breakfast is fantastic and satisfactory. About there staff ,the staff that work from afternoon till this morning was so helpful and so excellent in human relation and customer care. The location of the hotel is not that bad . Please if you can try to accommodate female and male in a different room it could be better because man 75% of man normally snoring which disturbed a lot. Thanks

Breakfast was fine but I could have done with proper coffee esp that cafes & shops are not close. Within a stone's throw of my Mum's GP (ret) surgery in which she served local community for 40+ years. Very proud of her and happy childhood memories...including the poor kids who have no idea who Shakespeare was! Loved room 11 window away from road (in fact most are I think). Perfect corner for my flags. Fire doors *very* bangy - i might put signs gently reminding people to catch them to avoid disturbing others, I forgot and felt bad about it.
Absence of proper coffee! Some kind of machine would improve that! Happy to pay for it to get me going in the am. Centre is fairly close but the last bit from the Ibis feels a bit sketchy... and it can be tricky staying the right side of each bit of dual carriageway but it is do-able. IF YOU NEED PHOTO ID THEN SAY SO ON BOOKING. I had to locate electronically and that was a bit stressful upon arrival.

What's not to like perfect for a stay in Leeds city centre if you're a budget traveller & not expecting the bells & whistles of fancy hotels. The staff are always friendly & welcoming & willing to help. The dorms are clean as are the beds, there is ample under bed storage though you do need a padlock, plenty of shower & toilet facilities one downstairs & 3 or 4 upstairs you do need your own towel. The kitchen facilities are excellent, a free prepare yourself breakfast is included cereals, bread, fruit, yoghurt & preserves are provided as well as unlimited tea, coffee, milk & fresh juice. What more could you want, my go to place in Leeds.

I really recommend this as a convenient place to stay in Leeds - it was about 25 mins walking from the station and the building is v cute. Staff very friendly and eager to give recommendations! Everything we needed! Towels were included.
We stayed in a dorm and the only complaint is that the facilities are a bit minimal - we stayed in a separate building over the road (not a problem at all) but the bathroom had no toilet paper or hand towel. There were also no lockers in the dorm and only two sockets for 6 beds - we were all friends so that was fine for us but might be an issue if you’re sharing with strangers.

A very creative hostel, I felt very welcome! It is clearly and old building but it is well maintained and clean. The rooms are themed, and while I only have seen the one I slept in I enjoyed the various art throughout the building. The staff was very nice and the kitchen was very convenient.
The location is a bit further from the city centre (about 20 minute walk), and not in a very obvious place (the entrance is around the building). Though this was clearly signposted around the building, it was still a bit of a search when I arrived in the evening.
