The room was clean and the bed was quite firm which suited me. Friendly staff Reasonable bar prices

There was a lot of road noise and there was a birthday party downstairs which spilled outside and we could hear it quite loud in our room. The shower in the room had quite a high step, about 8", so it was difficult to get in and out without slipping. This could be rectified easily with the addition of a safety handle or rail. We were a little confused why we were given a price for dinner on the booking, only to find that they didn't do dinner. We ended up getting a takeaway as we hadn't eaten since 8am.

Harley’s Inn is located close to our objective - Chatsworth House. The family room, though not huge, is sufficient for myself and my girls aged 16 and 10. We are all comfortable. The bathroom, however, is spacious and clean. Towels and toiletries are also provided. The shower is not powerful but alright to wash/shower in the evening. There is TV (and I think Netflix, which we discovered rather late in our stay) and kettle and car parking outside that is conveniently located right outside the entrance door for guests. The car park is also well-lit. Harley’s is right in the centre of Staveley town. Morrisons and other local shops in walking distance.

We stayed in the family room on the top floor facing the main road. Not noisy at all despite it being a pub/hotel. But the climb up and down flights of stairs with our luggages was rather a challenge.

There was free parking and it was easy to check in. The room was as described with everything I needed. The towels were lovely and soft. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Lights came on automatically in the stairs area when motion was detected. I had a key for my room and also a key for the outside door - only for guests so did not have to use the public entrance/area. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Everything was fine and I had no complaints

breakfast was outstanding. I have a healthy appetite but the fact that the small breakfast filled me until the evening says it all. It was well cooked and plenty of variety, Can heartily recommend it. The rooms also had a good supply of tea/cofee making facilities. The rooms, bar and dining area were very clean. The friendliness of the staff was very warming and helpful.

The accommodation seems to be in a recently built extension - rooms were clean and comfortable, quite newly decorated. Happy with the facilities - very good value for money. Location was good for us, we wanted somewhere fairly close to Sheffield - it was only half an hour's easy drive. We had an early start so didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on it.

We didn't realise there was no food served in the evening, which meant we had to go out for dinner. They made some recommendations though, and the Indian restaurant (the Curry Leaf) was very good. The hotel is on a main road so there's some traffic noise, but that's not a surprise and wasn't a problem for us.

I recently had the pleasure of staying overnight at Harley’s, and it was an experience that truly stood out. Despite my late check-in, Nicola went above and beyond to ensure I had no issues. She graciously provided me with her mobile number, ensuring she could return from the pub in time to let me in. Luckily, I arrived earlier than expected and was welcomed by another member of staff, Jessica. The room itself was a haven of comfort - impeccably clean and cosy. Waking up to a delicious breakfast was the cherry on top of a wonderful stay. But what truly made this experience memorable was the genuine kindness and helpfulness of both Nicola and Jessica. Their actions and warmth renewed my faith in human kindness. I cannot recommend them enough and am truly grateful for their hospitality. Hope you had a lovely birthday evening Nicola.

Pillows - my fault, I usually take mine with me as pillows in any hotel aren't as comfy as one's own.

Good-sized room and ensuite.

The very soft single bed mattress and the miserably thin duvet meant I didn't get a good night's sleep the entire week. Breakfast was unavailable until 8 a.m. Fortunately, there was a Morrisons nearby where I could buy porridge pots.

Breakfast was lovely, really set me up for the day. The staff were very attentive and answered all questions about “how far is/where can I get”. The room cleaner was very happy to offer any help should we need it. Kitchen and bar staff very nice.

Jeeez, the bed. I must say, I found signs (eg. Mind the step and WiFi) were missing, but they were not, I just did not see them. But, the bed, the bed, lovely as it was, it sounded like I was sleeping on a gravel road, the springs when one just moved slightly were very noisy, keep waking me up noisy.

The room I was given was a family room and seemed , for me anyway, to lack the facilities if a family had been in the room. There were only 2 hangers in the wardrobe unit. there was only a ring towel holder which was fine for me but I’m not sure where other family members would hang there towel and no hand towel rail. I didn’t like the small cloakroom sink as there was more than enough space for a full sized one. The kettle ( boiler) had to be filled with a glass. plus there was no housekeeping or replenishment of tea, coffee etc. I was not informed about this when I checked in.

Clean and cosy room. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Good breakfast in the morning. Plenty of tea and coffee on offer in the room. The room was cheap, but it exceeded what I was expecting.

The blinds were too thin. The club opposite made a bit of a racket, which might disturb some people. Not me though!
