Just a nine pound taxi ride to our Paul Heaton gig. Really friendly and helpful receptionist ( long dark hair, young, can't remember her name but I hope this helps give her the credit she deserves). The room was excellent. Clean, comfortable bed, lovely shower, couldn't ask for more. My wife had a wonderful cooked breakfast. I had OJ and coffee after a rather heavy beery day followed by too much fried chicken. I'm 57, but I promise I'll learn one day. A wonderful stay, guys. Thank you.

I have to say, for a Marco Pierre White restaurant, the chairs are a bit tatty. It really didn't trigger me, but for some it might be an issue.

All of the staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. All of the people staying at the hotel that I conversed with were very polite and pleasant. The spa facilities were really nice and relaxing also incredible price.

The hot tub at the apartment facilities weren't operational when I stayed. The prices for food were a little extortionate, for example there were bangers and mash which cost around £16.00, which although I Loved everything about my stay the price for bangers and mash were crazy. The rest of the food on the other hand which I had paid for was well worth the price for the quality.

Booked half board. Found this misleading as the evening meal is either a two corse from a very limited menu or alternatively £25 towards final food bill. This should be made clear prior to booking. Question has been asked previously on the Booking.com site and the information is totally wrong as it states three corses are included and a couple of items may have a surcharge. BEWARE as even choosing lower priced meals from the full menu I incurred an additional bill of £80. Response on this from the Hotel has been to fob me off by saying the info on the site it out of date

Such lovely staff that couldn’t do enough for you and were so accommodating, they went above and beyond to ensure we were as happy and comfortable as possible. We went out during the day and when we got back the room was made spotless and it didn’t feel like any of our belongings had been moved. Although we didn’t eat any full meals from the restaurant, we had a couple of croissants and danishes that were fantastic.

Only minor complaints here - the bath/shower was a little small, but it didn’t affect us all that much during our stay. Also the breakfast in bed option wasn’t mentioned to us on arrival so we only found out about it after it was too late to leave an order. Again, very very minor inconveniences that didn’t detract from the overall stay. We also would’ve liked free cookies on entry every night, not just the first night, as they were delicious ;)

We loved our room , housekeeping were great everyone very helpful at breakfast. Lounge bar food good, bit limited on the Monday, alot of items not available evening time. Lemon posset was suppose to have granola on top think it was muesli and no fruit or biscuit as described. We ate in marco pierre white steakhouse on the Sunday booked for husbands birthday which we told them, food was ok nothing special, fondant potato not available so just new potatoes, steak was ok , chicken ok, my husband had icecream basically icecream in a bowl like in lounge bar and actually a pound cheaper than lounge bar, no wafer, and a happy birthday would have been nice £120 later ! Could do with finer details looking at.

Prices, food a little expensive and drinks one gin and lemonade £11.20 bit steep ! Attention to detail with food needed.

We received a lovely welcome, along with freshly baked warm cookies, which were so delicious! Our family room with sofabed was spacious and clean, with complimentary bottled water and slippers. The room also had a mini-fridge, which was very handy. Unfortunately, the air-con wasn't working in our room, and judging by some of the other reviews, this doesn't appear to be an isolated issue. Breakfast was very good and varied. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we're ever back in the area.

Emily at reception is always friendly and helpful. The room is good and the huge bed is wonderful

The restaurant let the hotel down. None of the wine we wanted was available and we then chose another, not available. The only red wine that was available was over £40. So we had a bottle of beer instead! The salmon was dry and crusty as if it had been kept warm but as we were the first to dine I imagine it was a left over from the night before. Marco Pierre White would not have been impressed!

The jacuzzi was empty so not in use, we weren’t notified about this.The Restaurant looked fabulous, my Daughters chicken meal was lovely, my Grandaughters steak was lovely,my beetroot salad was tasteless,and my mini ravioli tasted like raw dough ,very thick and stodgy,couldn’t taste the filling due to the thick pasta ravioli,( I lived in Italy for 12 years never had ravioli like it disgusting)the sauce was nice ( if it hadn’t been a celebration , I would have sent mine back).

Room was well equipped, clean and air- conditioning worked well ( having not worked in the first room we were allocated - but we were moved without any problem).

Restaurant arrangements were not clear and bar was did not seem to be available on the Saturday evening as a boxing tournament was taking place. Information in room gave instructions for requesting food and drinks as room service, but no information on food or drinks menu available.

Lots of delightful little 'extras' were given to me. These little things go a long way and I will happily stay there again! Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, Very comfortable, spacious room and excellent shower facilities. The pool and sauna facilities were also excellent. I was visiting in order to go hiking in the peaks so these were all very welcome after a long days hike.

Only that the bar wasn't open when I was there. But that's a very minor detail which I didn't put me off.
