Located perfectly for our needs. The room was a good size with high ceilings, freshly decorated, good size ensuite. Good size double bed. Tea and coffee making facilities, two comfy chairs. Window view was of backyard yet not an issue for us We slept well in the evening even though the UK heatwave was with us There is a good sized pub lounge and lovely outside seated area overlooking lawns and trees Very large car park with ample parking Hotel serves hot drinks, soft drinks, non alcoholic beers in bottle and pump and all the various assortment of alcoholic beverages. There is a varied food menu and restaurant yet due to our visit timelines we were unable to utilise the restaurant on this occasion. We have done before at busy times and food has been OK

A few suggestions. Whoever checks the room should have a checklist to follow. Sink in en-suite has a push plug, yet water runs out as quick as you fill it. The light above the bathroom mirror flickered on and off throughout our stay and would have reported if we had stayed longer. There was a fan in the room which was very noisy. Maybe a modern, quieter John Lewis cooler , Dyson cooler would enhance the experience

This is an absolute gem of a place. Perched on a little hill, and close to many of the University facilities. I had booked a beautiful suite and it far exceeded my expectations - it was so beautifully decorated and wonderfully clean and comfortable. I really wished I'd been staying for a few days. The bed was enormous and gave a great night's sleep. There is a lovely roll-top bath in the room itself, and then a wet-room cleverly hidden behind it. Everything was spanking clean. My son and I had dinner, and I had breakfast the following morning. The food was delicious and the staff were all exceptionally friendly and kind. Will definitely return!

The minorest of 'even better if's were just that the lighting was quite low for my rather poor eyesight and it would have been champion to have higher lumen bulbs in the bedside lamps. The loo roll sheets were also a tad thin - but both of these 'gripes' are being very picky, as everything else was fab :)

We were welcomed with a smile and taken to our rooms. Unfortunately, one of the rooms was not ready so we went to the bar where we were given a complimentary drink by the manager. The room was huge, very clean, the bed was unbelievably comfortable. It was definitely more than we expected. The location of this hotel was perfect for what we needed. It was quiet, the staff brilliant, so much so that we have decided it will be the place for us to stay when we come to Sheffied again. The breakfast was scrumptious and the staff again were friendly and very accommodating. Beautiful hotel.

The only thing I could complain about was our bathroom was like walking into the Arctic. It was freezing. The floor was especially cold. Maybe if they get a heater or even some curtains to pull across to retain some heat, it would help. The bathroom itself was huge, the shower lovely.

Ample parking on arrival. The member of staff was very welcoming on arrival. The room was clean and fresh with good amenities. The evening meal was very good, even with 'some' options being unavailable. It's better than a travel lodge...

The evening meal plus drinks a little more pricey than expected. The following day, a member of staff mentioned there could have been a 30% discount off the evening meal. The lunchtime meal for 5 people. The service was a little slow between starters and the main meal.

The room was lovely and spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom a good size. The continental breakfast was very good. The dinner menu was well thought-out and everything on there was tempting; the portion sizes were just right. We could not fault the staff in any way; they were professional, helpful and courteous.

The temperature in our room was a little too warm and something really set off my allergies (I don't know what it was), but that didn't stop our general liking of room.

We stayed in a very spacious room, one of three on the second floor of a character building. Tea and coffee facilties were provided. Enjoyed an extremely quiet and restful one night stay. There was plenty of room in the free car park.

There are quite a few steps from the car park to the Hotel and two flights of stairs to reach the second floor. Very good shower but the soap dispenser had not been replenished and was empty. The light above the bathroom mirror did not work.

I booked a number of rooms for our wedding, for ourselves who live locally, close family and family travelling from further afield. The premier room was fantastic and served brilliantly to accommodate a bridal party of 6 plus make up/hair artist and photographer... such was the space. A small party gathered the night before to eat at the restaurant and the food was excellent. One of the best if not the best mixed grills I've have ever had. The setting and grounds are lovely and we will certainly be back to dine there. Early check in for travellers was no problem and the staff throughout were very friendly and helpful. On arrival from the wedding reception we were met with a very nice touch from the staff... the sprinkling of flower petals on the bed. It could not have been any better, than you to all there for making is stress free and enjoyable.

Staff are excellent so helpful and friendly, they carried our bags up steep stairs. Good pub restaurant and wide selection of reasonably priced drinks. Nice veranda to sit and drink. An old upmarket area of Sheffield so it is a very nice area and safe. There is an excellent bus service into Sheffield

We are in our 70s so the stairs to the bedrooms are a slight challenge. Rooms to the front may get some noise from drinkers on the veranda but it is closed at 10.30/11.00 so its OK. Breakfast has to be individually ordered and a charming lady does it.

We paid for breakfast on the day as we did not know what to have initially. This was better than the blanket £15. The room was warm after we put the radiator on but the electric radiator did make a noise with the metal expanding and contracting during the night. Staff were brilliant and very friendly.

The radiator. Also, we had a group booking as it was a reunion of about 9 folks who had not met for a while and it was dissappointing that we had to vacate the bar and downstairs at 11.00pm because the downstairs had to be locked up. You can take drinks to your room but there is no other place that you can go to.

Fantastic stay as always. Room very comfortable with excellent small touches. Room impeccably clean, quiet, comfortable bed and excellent service. Food was very very good. Better than what we had in the city centre. In fact, why go anywhere else!

It seems churlish to mention the bathroom layout In Limousin room. It's fine, perfectly functional and clean - although the shower's a little awkward. The floor is very cold and underfloor heating would be a bonus. This would not stop me staying however, and this remains my favourite room as it is quiet and incredibly comfortable.
