Staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly. Very good fresh cooked breakfast. We had an excellent bathroom- i could have stood under the shower all night if Sheffield wasn't full of so many fantastic pubs!

Not really a complaint but maybe a trick the hotel is missing- on the day of departure, we checked out , left the car and walked up through Endcliffe Park up to Wire Mill Dam ( we recommend the walk) got back to the hotel and thought we'd get a pot of tea and sandwiches before we left for home. Pot of tea fine but no sandwiches available on the menu only cooked food. Anyway not a moan just an observation

It is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. It is perfect when picking up or dropping off our son at Sheffield University. We live in Essex so it's a nice break in the journey. The staff were exceptional, the room lovely, parking onside, biscuits and coffee/tea readily available. Location-wise, it is walking distance to pubs, restaurants etc. The breakfast was lovely. We took part in the local Endcliffe Parkrun, and got back (in our running gear) in time for a lovely cooked breakfast. What more can you ask for?

In our opinion and experience, absolutely nothing to dislike.

Lovely warm room with spacious bathroom. Like coffee machine. Grounds lovely with blossom trees and easy parking. Quiet. Nice breakfast though see other comment. Staff friendly though not allowed to go out of their way.

I turned up at 8.35pm after a 7 hour journey. Just missed the last orders in dining room. Chef was sat on reception desk with receptionist and I asked if they could give me anything to eat. Flat no. I suggested a sandwich...again, no. Instead I was advised to go out again and drive a mile away or download an app and get food delivered. Thought this was poor. Apparently from a conversation overheard at breakfast, the hotel also has a policy not to replace any item with another...customer asked for extra sausage in place of an item they didn't want. Flat no. Both these stances are poor in my opinion. I paid 90 per night so comparable with a premier inn where you can eat as much as you like

An extremely well run hotel with pleasant, attentive staff. Everything that I needed was provided and free parking on the premises. The evening menu was interesting and the food delicious. Obviously a proper chef. I was served each night by Alicia who was very personable and helpful. The hotel is close to multiple bus routes into the city centre, a short walk from Eccleshall Road where there are numerous bars and eateries and a short walk from local parks and the Botatnical Gardens. A quiet location so a good night's sleep even with the windows open.

Hard to think of anything.

The whole stay was excellent, from the coffee machines in the room, the top up facilities (milk, coffee tea) on each floor, the showers, the dining and bar facilities = superb. The staff were all so hospitable and it was excellent value for money - considering it was a boutique listing.

Need to highlight there is EV charging on site as this wasn't listed when searching. It was a bonus "discovery". A minor issue for reference is the student halls of residence on the site (very quiet) need to manage the small number of students rooms overlooking the entrance / carpark that had expletive banners deliberately posted on their windows (made in reverse from inside). Not a great advert for the university that owns the site and hotel.

Great location, free car parking, great hotel. Lovely bar, patio area, and restaurant. Great hot powerful shower with free Noble Isles body wash, shampoo and conditioner, very clean bathroom. good quality towels, comfortable bed. Coffee machine in room, fresh milk in fridges on each floor. Great to see that they have added an extra member of staff at breakfast less chaotic, such a lovely relaxing breakfast this morning. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We stay here every time we come to visit our son who is in Uni. We have stayed here over the past 5 years. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing really. Just be warned a warm hotel.

I like that they offer eggs benedict but was disappointed not to see smoked salmon as an option, only with bacon. Apparently this was changed and smoked salmon is only available at a weekend.

I'm tight on time in a morning with work commitments and would therefore like to see staff a bit more mindful of this. I always ask to place my order as I arrive to avoid a delay I also noticed someone else had to ask to place their order. The member of staff was also still setting up the breakfast room for 20mins after 7am which was surprising as breakfast starts at 7am - appreciate there may have been a reason for this i.e. short of staff.

Lovely old building, away from any roads, compact but comfortable room. Bathroom was large with a roomy and good shower, light and bright but private. Huge lit mirror in the bathroom too. Bed was comfy - big windows which open but securely even on the ground floor, lots of natural light and fresh air if you like that, which I do. The staff were lovely, the bar was well stocked and open 24/7. The cooked breakfast was possible the best I’d had in a hotel for a long time. Well located near Fulwood Rd and the university (for visiting kids!). We’d definitely stay again - we couldn’t fault it.

Friendly staff. Cosy room with coffee and tea. Able to get more supplies from the corridor. Breakfast was good - buffet and cooked breakfast. Ate in the restaurant one night. Good food. Staff seemed to be training, very polite, just a bit unsure of what they were doing. The bar was cosy. Plenty of parking. I did like the photo of the women in the music room when the hotel used to be a women's college.

TV screen access - we couldn't get it to work, but weren't that bothered. Would have liked camomile and peppermint tea as options in the room. Very minor things. For a boutique hotel, the decor is rather bland.

Having stayed here previously on several occasions we knew to expect and did did find friendly and helpful service from all the staff and a comfortable and well equipped room - not forgetting the 'goodies' on offer on the landings! The hotel is in a quiet location despite being situated on the University campus. We have always found it good value for money.

Unfortunately some areas in the bathroom, particularly skirting boards, were looking the worse for wear. Some members of our group did not have bathrobes in their rooms as listed in the room description and we did not have an iron in ours, again as listed in the description.
