We stayed the night due to my daughter getting married in the hotel. The wedding was amazing and the staff ensured that we had everything we needed to make it a perfect day, which it was. The food was fabulous throughout the day and night. The hotel room was big, very comfortable bed and the room was very clean.

Only one small thing it was the hottest day of the year, and the rooms did not have air-con, although fans were provided, which helped, it was still very hot but we do not normally expect such hot weather and it did not spoil the wedding as the function room was fully air-conditioned and we had an amazing day.

The room was basic, but comfortable. The breakfast was very good value for money, and the staff were really helpfull and courteous. We would happily stay there again.

Not much to dislike really, unless you were back at your early, you may not get a parking spot outside tge rooms, but the pub carpark is big enough, that you should find sonething. There had obviously been a leak in the roof that had come through into our bathroom which hadn't been repaired, but that was pretty much it. One other thing, there were no drawers in our room for clothing, so we had to live out of our cases for the duration of our stay.

Large spacious building in a nice area. Great to be able to book a room at a hotel which is part of a PH. Staff were amazing, everyone was so happy and polite. Great value for money. Checked in at 19.40 hrs and restaurant still open. Advised on a 45 minute wait for food when ordered as they were so busy. Just 20 minutes later and the food arrives, piping hot and tasty. Breakfast the following morning was excellent and again the staff were exceptional. All the Food was great Value for money. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Had a great night's sleep. We really enjoyed our nights stay and would definitely recommend this hotel in a lovely part of the world.

No negatives. At £85 for a nights stay including a full English Breakfast with exceptional staff we cannot fault the stay. Yes you will get higher end accommodation, but you will not beat the value for money.

The staff are not all about money and how much they can squeeze out of you. Which means their friendliness is genuine. They went out of their way to ensure you had everything you wanted. They asked and I didn’t have to. Lovely people all them. I actually felt compelled to hug them. Best place ever to stay. Breakfast choices where excellent and evening dining menus had a great variety of choices Wish everywhere was like this. Room 5

Breakfast was glasses of fresh orange juice followed very large cooked breakfast with bacon, egg, sausage, mushroom, black pudding, beans, hash brownie, tomatoes and toast. Marmalade and toast. Coffee and pot of tea. This was as much as we could eat! The room was very spacious with plenty of hanging space and a spare single bed as well as our enormous double. Tea and coffee and a kettle supplied in the the room.

Whilst we were staying there for 5 nights, we had a very large wedding and a funeral reception. These were quite noisy but not unwelcome and they did not affect our sleep so they were quite acceptable. The Sunday night quiz was a laugh and we met several friend and relations there.

Good location,plenty of parking, quiet of a night.time.

Had a evening meal.Asked to use the qr code.Scanned the code to find a movie website wanting monthly payments. Someone had placed stickers over the qr codes. Asked the waitress what was the website she said it wasn't their qr code.Removed the sticker and said she would check the other tables. Checked the codes the following night and they had not been removed from the tables.Not a good look for the company that this was not addressed.

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, we really appreciated that they went the extra mile to help us out. The room was spotlessly clean and had plenty of space, the fan was also very welcome on such a hot weekend. It was also ideally located for a wedding that we were attending.

45 min wait for lunch wasn’t great, my meal when it came was ok but the chicken club sandwich was dry as old sticks, and was left, which was a waste of money. Probably would eat elsewhere next time.

Room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. Lots of parking. We ate in the restaurant and both enjoyed our meals. Didn't have breakfast.

A couple of things need attention. Finding the Reception was difficult. It was actually at the end of a bar with only a little sign above - confusing, yes? I received numerous communications about signing on line - to save time - but it didn't as you still had to sign in on a document and leave the room key on departure! Also the offers for food vouchers were pointless as, we were told, you would lose any money unspent.

We had travelled up from North Cornwall for a family funeral the following day. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Room was large and comfortable. We had an evening meal plus breakfast the following morning, both lovely and value for money. Would definitely stay again if we happen to be that way visiting family.

If i was going to be picky, the towel rail in the bathroom was just a tad too big or too close to the loo for comfort.

The fact that the hotel was adjoining the pub but completely seperate. Being able to eat GREAT food very good prices & have a drink without having to worry about getting back to our hotel. We could book our breakfast before we checked in & choose a time we wanted to eat.The breakfast was AMAZING! The room was very spacious & had a really comfy huge bed!! There was a lift even though it was only 2 floors! EVERYTHING was so clean & tidy ,well kept & the staff were SO friendly, helpful,polite & efficient.
